Accent Roofing requested a down payment for a small job. After the deposit was made, they stopped communicating. I had to stay on top of them to get the job rescheduled after the contractor was a no show. They rushed and never came back to paint as quoted. Even though the job was 90% completed, I paid the balance so I dont have to deal with them anymore. Be careful when dealing with Accent Roofing...every customer doesnt receive the same level of service.

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart, Thank you for your feedback. We’re disappointed to see the one-star review, particularly because several details do not align with our records. The original scheduling timeframe provided by Chase was contingent upon receiving a signed contract and deposit. Those were not received until several days later, at which point the original date was no longer available. Once your contract was finalized and the project was scheduled, we arrived and completed the contracted work as planned. Regarding the fascia, our contract included replacing and painting the damaged wood, which we completed. When you expressed dissatisfaction that the entire run of fascia had not been painted, we returned and painted the additional area at no charge as a gesture of goodwill, despite that work not being included in your contract. We respect every client's right to share their experience, but we also believe reviews should accurately reflect the work that was contracted, performed, and ultimately provided. Our General Manager and I have both attempted to reach you because we would genuinely prefer to resolve any remaining concerns directly. We remain available and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Our goal has always been to fulfill our commitments and, whenever reasonably possible, go beyond them. — Phillip Scribbins President, Accent Roofing Service

We got a quote for roof leak repair. When we decided to move forward, signed contract and paid deposit, we never got any call from scheduling to do the work as everyone in Accent Roof told us. I called many times to the company main number, the person who did quote and his supervisor, mostly went to voice mail and no call back. Now it appears that they deleted the quote so we assume that they backed out without explaining the reason. I requested to return my deposit and got it back. My experience is awful and disgusting. Don't be fooled by all those nice reviews.

Their customer service was disappointing. We had them inspect a leak around a roof vent and received an estimate that was roughly 70% higher than other contractors. I asked for clarification and supporting evidence for one of the line items, as I had taken attic photos that appeared inconsistent with the condition being described and wanted to understand whether that charge would be removed if the work proved unnecessary. After providing the photos and asking follow-up questions, communication stopped and my texts, emails, and change requests submitted through their own customer portal went unanswered. I ultimately hired another roofer, who inspected the attic, determined that the line item I had questioned was unnecessary, completed the repair, and provided a warranty. I don't mind paying for necessary work. I do mind being ignored when asking reasonable questions about a significant estimate. Edit: They're trying to claim this review was meant for another company and they cannot find my records. Your estimate was #35179 made on June 7th by Nick G, Roofing Consultant, Accent Roofing Service. Hopefully, you're able to find my records now.
Reply from the business
Hi Mr. Tucker, You are correct. When your review first came through, we were unable to locate a recent client by the name Phil Tucker. After comparing your comments with recent change requests and reviewing our records, I determined the estimate was actually under your wife, Sadie Raeburn's, name. At that point, the only information we had was a client profile under a different name and a Google profile showing reviews almost exclusively in Florida. Because we've previously had reviews mistakenly posted to us instead of roofing companies with similar names in North Carolina and Texas, my General Manager responded that it may have been intended for another business. That wasn't an attempt to be dishonest, only to address a discrepancy we genuinely could not reconcile. Before your updated review was posted, I had already identified your file and reached out to Sadie, then to you shortly afterward. As I explained in my voice message, the representative handling your estimate experienced a sudden family emergency that required him to leave town unexpectedly. I reviewed the email chain and confirmed he had been communicating with you until that point. While I don't excuse lapses in communication, this was an extraordinary circumstance. Regarding the decking charge, I emailed Nick on June 9, instructing him to explain that if the decking was not damaged once the roof was opened, we would remove that charge from the final invoice. I also sent you screenshots of that email. The repair was quoted at $968 and included replacing shingles, installing ice and water shield, replacing the HVAC boot and rain collar, sealing the vent assembly, replacing any damaged decking if necessary, cleanup, and a one-year workmanship guarantee. If the decking proved to be sound, the invoice would have been reduced by $200. Unfortunately, roof decking damage often cannot be confirmed until the shingles are removed. If damaged decking is present, building code and manufacturer specificatio

Good evening given that the name of your profile is a crude innuendo, my ****sgurthy / Mike Oxgurthy and that you gave another Roofer a one star review also citing price, I think it’s more likely that you’re a competitor and upset about losing a bid. Very sorry that it’s tough out there right now, attacking your competition with underhanded reviews is probably the least productive use of your effort. Also are you 12? Really! If you’d like to talk about it, you’re more than welcome to reach out to me. Maybe I can offer you some help, so that you can do a little better moving forward. Phillip@leaksmith.com

I am buying a house and want the roof fixed before we move in, so i want a quote done pre-closing to make sure as soon as the closing day happens then the roof gets done. I've been told roofers will come and give a free quote. ARX commercial came out and gave me a quote. I always try to get quotes from at least 2 different companies, so i asked accent roofing services to come out and give me a quote as well. I gave them all the details and they put me on the schedule tentatively, saying someone would call to confirm a time that worked for both of us. But when someone called back, she told me since I didn't own the house yet it would cost $400! Just a heads up to everyone about how they operate. I put 3 stars just because I had to put something and 3 is in the middle. Edit: the owner said the cost is for stuff related to due diligence. But I don't need that. I've already had someone come out and check for those purposes and the due diligence process is complete. I know there's problems with the roof. That's not changing anything about the sale of the house. I just need someone lined up to fix it as soon as I close so that it's done before my family moves in so I don't have to worry about nails falling from the roof when my little kids are running around or loud noises up there when the kids are napping. The owner also replied saying my agent needed to be part of this for permission purposes. So she called and talked to Demonee who told her I could just call and ask for the free estimate since I wasn't doing this for due diligence. When I called back, Kate started by asking if I owned the home and automatically assumed I needed this for the due diligence process. When she said it was a $400 charge i made she to communicate that this was NOT for due diligence and i was contacting her in the "role" of owner because this was for me to hire someone to fix the roof soon after the sale and I already knew the roof had issues. She just kept repeating that i couldn't have a f

Good afternoon, Thank you for your message. I’m sorry to hear that you’re frustrated regarding the inspection fee, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify our policy. We do provide free estimates and complete many of them each day. However, a pre-purchase inspection is a more detailed service that requires additional time, expertise, and liability on our part. In many cases, these requests are used during real estate negotiations, and while you indicated that may not be your intent, we do not have a reliable way to distinguish that in advance. As a result, we apply this policy consistently to all such requests. You are absolutely welcome to proceed with a paid inspection. If you ultimately purchase the home and choose to work with us, the $400 fee will be fully credited toward your project. Regarding your comment about our staff, I would respectfully ask that we keep the conversation constructive. Our team is experienced, professional, and committed to providing a high level of service. We have been proudly family-owned and operating under the same name for over 30 years, which reflects the trust we have built with our clients. We also take feedback seriously. That said, using reviews as leverage to influence business policies can make it difficult to have a productive dialogue. Our goal is always to be fair and transparent while maintaining standards that allow us to serve our clients effectively. If you are no longer in a due diligence period, we are open to coordinating a complimentary assessment and estimate, provided we receive confirmation from the seller’s agent. If the agent can email us directly, or if you can forward that communication, we would be happy to schedule a visit at no cost. Without that verification, we are unable to justify allocating the necessary time and resources. Our mission is to deliver an exceptional experience to clients who are in a position to move forward with work, and our policies are designed to support that goal. Giv

Cannot be trusted. I discovered a small water leak on a ceiling. Accent came, inspected and provided estimate of $1,285 to replace some shingles, decking, sewer pipe vent. flashing and rain collar. I did not see the need for any of this and had another roofer inspect. As I suspected, the cause of the water leak was a roof nail popped up allowing water to enter. I paid the guy $150 and he corrected the problem, checked the entire roof and tightened any other loose areas he found. This was eight months ago and no problems since!

Greetings, Sir! You have time to give a misleading review eight months after the fact, but you couldn’t make time to meet with us at the time of the quote so that we could see the leak from inside. Since you included the word “trust” in your review, you might consider practicing what you preach and reporting the whole, unbiased truth. First off, no reputable, insured roofing company would do a repair for $150 and warranty the work. My guess is that you hired a handyman with a goop gun and got lucky that he didn’t fall or damage anything. Our quote was given without you affording us the opportunity to get inside the home and diagnose the leak down to one definite issue, so Bobby conducted an outside-only inspection. This revealed three fundamental defects near one another. He could see a depression in the roof where wood was obviously rotted, and an old vent flashing right next to it, as well as potential nail pops. So, he did what any conscientious roofer would do under the circumstances: He quoted a proper repair that would stand the test of time, address all potential issues, and not result in termite infestation or mold. For $150 you got someone to seal over rotted wood. You may think that’s a great bargain, but the fact is that it’s an exorbitantly expensive Band-Aid. Only a handyman with no intention of honoring his work would do something like that, and it’s disingenuous of you to compare professionals to hacks. In addition, Bobby quoted you other items that were clearly delineated as optional preventative maintenance…things you should do to prevent your tenants from having issues in the future. We are not a handyman service and we are not a good fit for slumlords. We do things right and we don’t do them unless we can back them up with a guarantee. Further, we do not expose our clients to liability by climbing roofs without insurance. I am so certain of this that I make you this offer; send us proof of your handyman’s valid insurance at the time of the Band

I had a terrible experience with this roofing company. I had them originally come out to look at my roof to determine if I would need to do a full replacement. After encouraging me to file an insurance claim, I had to continually reach out to them (my rep, Mark) only to find out my sales rep was on vacation, which was fine, but no sort of hand-off, and once he finally replied he directed me to his boss who never called me back. I never received an actual estimate. Needless to say, I ended up going with a different company. Would not recommend. *Update since my post. The owner contacted me personally to talk through my experience and apologize. He did explain that they do have a set process that should be followed, and it wasn’t in my case. I do believe he’ll follow up with his team to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I truly appreciate him taking the time to reach out, listen, and then personally apologize for my experience.

Hi Stacey, After seeing your review I spoke to the reps involved, then reached out to you to apologize for the lack of prompt communication from your representative. We would have thrilled to work for you, and I am sorry that it didn’t work out for us to replace your roof. If you ever need anything with your new home please reach out to me directly. Update: I got a reply from this business owner questioning the authenticity of my review. If you really care about the truth go ahead and show the details of my review to your inspector and ask her if it rings a bell for her. All I said in my review was that your quote was multiple times higher than other companies and that I WILL NOT be rushed to make a decision on spot or the same day. Got quote from 4 highly rated roofing companies for fixing minor leaks and the accent's was 2-3 times more expensive. Their roofing specialist visited my home and she thought she is dealing with a 5 year old kid as she told me I need to make a decision now or else it might be too late( very old selling technique). Things got even stranger when I told her that there might be one or two missing shingles and she replied that I might be better off replacing the roof. What????? 🤣 I asked her why her quote is multiple times more than others to which she replied we have better google reviews . I highly advice anyone who needs roofing services to get quote from multiple roofing companies as this industry can be quite tricky.

UPDATE: of course, we showed her the review, that was the very first thing that we did. The next thing I did is look in our database to see if she’s ever ran an appointment for somebody named Tom or Samuel or any combination, and she has not. The fact you keep changing your profile name seems to back up the position we are taking. You’re more than welcome to reach out to me my direct email address is listed below. Hi Tom, We have no record of having given you a quote, but we do agree with you on this; homeowners should always get multiple bids! Our pricing is in line with other legitimate companies, and our reviews are merely the proof of the service we provide. We may point out our full-time, bi-lingual project managers, strict quality assurance, trade licenses, insurance, fidelity bond, friendly/accommodating support staff, award-winning warranty support, convenient payment methods, or multiple manufacturer’s certifications, but with all those positive value points, why would we use the line you quoted about reviews justifying price? We wouldn’t, and we don’t. Our professional salespeople are continuously trained in the fine points of roofing, not sleazy sales techniques. We have nothing but contempt for the “one call close” mania that’s sweeping our industry ever since conglomerates got involved in the roofing industry, and that’s why we give our clients plenty of time and space to make a thoughtful decision. This sounds like a competitor that may have lost a job to us and is projecting, but if I’m mistaken, I’m happy to discuss it. We’re a true, full-service roofing company and we don’t push replacements because we have a great repair department. Repairs account for more than half our contracts, and we always encourage people to solicit several proposals for their peace of mind. Happy to discuss your concerns if you care reach out to me. If we had your contact information, we would have reached out to you within minutes! Best of luck to you and your

Had one of their estimators, Adam R, come by the house and assess the condition of our roof, gutters, soffit and attic. 100% Professional, very courteous and most importantly knowledgeable. Knew about the types of roofs installed in the area, about the gutter installation, the weather report/storm data and gave us an extremely thorough analysis of our roofs' quality and condition (drone photos and manual inspection). Told us our roof was in good shape (gave it 3-5 more years), informed us of the available services, gave us some simple maintenance tips and was not at all pushy or overly assertive. Will definitely give them a call when we need a full replacement in a few years. Would also recommend.

Accent was extremely helpful throughout my entire roof and gutter replacement process, which took almost a year due to repeated claim denials from the insurance company. Once we got past that, the process was fast and easy. Tom was quick to respond and very helpful. I made a mistake when approving the estimate which didn't come to light until after the work was done. Even though I was the one to make the error, Tom worked with me to make it right. Accent came back out multiple times to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Jorge was very communicative and informative on the day of the roof replacement from start to finish. Ashley and the office staff were always friendly and accommodating. The crew was respectful and quick. I highly recommend.

I recently had my roof and gutters replaced by this company, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My consultation with Matt Mitchell was excellent; he was incredibly knowledgeable and refreshingly honest, never pushy like a typical salesman. I felt very comfortable moving forward, especially knowing the company’s extensive experience, and their pricing was fair—even lower than I had expected. After comparing quotes from two other companies, it was an easy decision to choose them. Their communication was outstanding throughout the entire process—before, during, and after the installation. I really appreciated that expectations and costs were laid out upfront with total transparency. The crews were punctual, professional, and truly delivered on their promises. A huge thank you to Matt, Osman, Michelle, Ashley, Jessica, Creighton, Gary, and the entire team for making this such a smooth experience. Highly recommended!

Ashley and Jorge exceeded all of our expectations with their outstanding customer service. From the very beginning to the completion of the project, Ashley's communication was amazing. She stayed true to her word and went above and beyond to help address all of our concerns. Jorge and his crew were equally impressive. What would normally have taken two days was completed in just one day. They arrived promptly, worked efficiently, and maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the entire process. Jorge was attentive, kept the work area tidy, and took the time to answer every question we had. We highly recommend Accent Roofing to anyone in the Atlanta area and beyond. From the moment of the initial call, through the completion of the repairs, Accent Roofing has demonstrated professionalism, and punctuality. Despite the slight delay, due to rainy weather conditions the repair services where done promptly. Danny, showed excellent diagnostics skills of the damage on the roof, and manage my needs and expectations appropriately. Noah, managed the repairs, in a timely, professional, and skillful matter. Despite the hot weather conditions, he repaired the originally quoted damages plus a couple more that we identified on the spot. Following the repair, the area was left spotless clean.
