  Be prepared for a hot headed owner and a foul mouthed installation

  We can’t find any record that you’ve ever been our customer, so we’re not sure what you’re reviewing. We did notice your review history includes Pigale’s in Gatineau. If even a strip club couldn’t leave you satisfied, we’d have to admit the odds were stacked against us from the start. 😂 If this review was left in error, we’re always happy to discuss any legitimate concerns with actual customers.

  TLDR: this company will charge you an arm and a leg to put shingles on your roof without fixing anything. When you discover that your roof is still leaking, they will gaslight you and give you the runaround for months before refusing to help you. Save your time and money, go with someone else. I'm sad to update my review to one star. This company really screwed us over. The roof that they shingled for us in 2022 is leaking. I called them in November, and they said they'd send someone out. They didn't. I called them again, and they said they remembered doing our roof, and it has a design flaw (that they did not mention, did not flag, did not fix at the time), so they have decided not to honour their 10-year warranty. They offered to make up a quote to fix it in the spring, and said they'd come out to talk about a temporary solution for the winter. I said yes please. No one came out, and no one contacted me with a quote. I've sent emails and left phone messages, and had no response from them since December. After we've bought two roofs from them! This most recent roof cost $29,808.27 (7K more than their initial estimate), which seems like an awful lot now that I know the warranty is bunk. Fair warning to future customers! Update: they finally emailed me mid-March to say they were laid off so that's why they just stopped responding to emails and phone calls. I asked them if they have a quote for me. Then radio silence for a month before they responded to say the roof is not leaking it's the siding. We can see where the water is coming in, and it's from the roof. That we paid you to fix. If you think we just wanted you to put shingles on the roof but not stop it from leaking, then you are not a good roofing company. If it was the siding, why wouldn't you tell us that in November? Why would you make us wait all winter just to tell us that? Absolutely no accountability or obligation to look after their customers at all. Not a good investment. Below, you can still see

  Hi Morgan This is the second roof we did for you. We came out to the job, and the area had been completely covered in caulking it wouldn't be possible for it to leak with the amount of tar that was added. We do in-fact believe, and have told you that it is the siding and not the roof. If you are willing to have a reputable roofer come out and do the work and they show it is the roof and not the siding or chimney leaking we are more then willing to cover the costs associated. If it somehow had to do with our workmanship we are offering to warranty it and pay.

Our quote was based entirely on the photos and details you provided, which did not show the steep cliff and limited access on the side of your home. Once on site, it became clear that the conditions were very different from what we were shown. The additional cost covered the significant safety setup and time required to complete the work properly. We take accuracy and honesty seriously. Our estimates are always fair and based on the information available at the time. We did our best to communicate the reason for the adjustment and complete the job to a professional standard despite the challenges. We appreciate the feedback and wish you all the best.

  Contacted this company for a quote on my cottage - sent in requested follow up pictures but radio silence for a few weeks despite follow ups. They stated $350+ hst minimum charge to get someone out (located 20 min outside Perth) - just looking for an estimate for our leaky roof. Poor customer service.

  Hello, The estimate is free to replace your roof, estimates are generally done by the office staff via satellite. To have someone come out and repair your roof is a minimum trip of $350.00+HST we have to send two men for safety reasons, they are insured, fuel and wages. Sorry if there was some sort of misunderstanding.

  Very pleased with the work from ATR. Zach and his team did an extraordinary job. From the time I spoke with the office explaining my situation regarding my roof leaking, to the time the roof was fully replaced was very quick. Given being on MAT leave, I had to finance the project, which not many companies do. My porch also needed to be reconstructed, and the team went above and beyond to fix it when they didn’t have to. Upon lifting my old steel roof, Zach and the team discovered a mess no one was expecting. The previous roofer did a half ass quick job leaving open piping, a bathroom fan exhaust that had been buried, and rotting wood. ATR kept me updated throughout the whole process and replacement while on my property. I’m very impressed with the completion of the work, the friendliness of the crew (including Lara & Jess) and the satisfaction guaranteed. I now have peace of mind that my home vents properly and will no longer leak. I highly recommend.

  Ray and his crew were great with the roofing job on our home. They did excellent work and were a pleasure to deal with through the process. We love our new roof. The metal is quality, and after several years shows no wear at all. We also had a dormer re-sided with the company. Excellent job again.

  Highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. On two occasions they were at our house within 24 hours to replace shingles lost in wind storms that were installed by another roofer. When we decided to replace the shingles on half the roof the work was done promptly and professionally. The entire crew worked hard and efficiently and the clean up was great.

  We had Above the Rest roofing recently replace our roof, I would highly recommend them. The crew did a great job on the roof while keeping the property clean. The quote was very reasonable and no surprises along the way. They completed the roof as scheduled. Fast, efficient, friendly and professional.
