  We’re disappointed to see such a low rating, especially given that this project was completed without any concerns raised about the quality of the workmanship. In fact, there are no issues noted in this review regarding the roof installation itself. Our team at 5 Star Roofing handled all required paperwork and permits on your behalf and also provided an upgraded shingle at no additional cost. This was an insurance-based project from the beginning, and you specifically requested to proceed through the insurance process. At one point, a verbal ballpark estimate was discussed for potential out-of-pocket costs only; a retail, cash estimate was never requested. The scope of work — including roof and gutter replacement — was approved and priced by the insurance carrier, not created or inflated by our company. The reason for the Gutter replacement was explained multiple times and was part of the approved scope of work. We replaced gutters on your house and your neighbors because it was a one-piece gutter system. There was never an objection to installing the gutters, nor a request to exclude them. Pricing from other companies, at different times, for different properties is outside of our control and not relevant to this project. The pricing reflects marketplace rates and the actual work performed that you agreed to. Any debris concerns that were brought to our attention were addressed immediately. There was no delay of weeks to return for cleanup. The manufacturer’s warranty will be processed as soon as the registration is completed, and the labor warranty is clearly stated in the signed contract that you have a copy of. Final payment receipts are always available and can be re-issued upon request. We have no reason not to provide you with your receipts. Lastly, Insurance premium increases are determined solely by the insurance carrier based on underwriting guidelines and claim history.   They contacted us multiple times as we were in the decision process but after when we had issues, very little communication then zero response to phone, text, and email communication.

  I had this company replace my roof after the derecho had caused damage to my home in 2020. I struggled with continued leaking that was recently identified by 2 other contractors as a roof installation issue, Five Star would not return my calls after I reached out multiple times in the Spring of 2025. I had called them back previously to inspect with no results. With water running down my interior wall and damaging drywall, we had thought a siding issue was the problem and after exhausting repair on all siding concerns, we thought the leaking was fixed. Another storm hit and leaking returned. After all previous repair cost, I had to hire another highly recommended roofing contractor, that immediately identified the issue, provided proof of issue and fixed within 20 minutes. I would not recommend this company and they have caused me unnecessary expense and stress!

  I spoke to Jordan last Friday, and I was excited to start my service with 5 star. Jordan said he'd be out the following week to check out my roof. I texted Jordan and asked what day he'd plan on coming and he never got back to me. I even called and have heard no acknowledgment. It's now a week over from our last and first phone call, bad service.

  We could not be happier with our recent experience with Jordan and Michael from 5 Star. They are ALWAYS very responsive from the moment we reached out to get an estimate for new siding and gutters to the amazing installation. The installers were professional and meticulous. 5 Star and their crews are great with communication about EVERYTHING. We never felt out of the loop on any steps in the process. They even helped us with all the information our HOA needed. We are actually repeat customers. They installed our roof about 8 or 9 years ago. That was also a wonderful experience. We’d recommend 5 Star every time to anyone.
