so 4All does roofing work out in the South Elgin area and we had them come out for a full roof replacement on our colonial style house which is a decent sized roof. the thing was original from when the house was built in the early 90s so it was definitely past its time. the estimator came out and was real straightforward about what we needed, didnt try to push a bunch of extras on us which i appreciated since some roofing companies around here will upsell you on all kinds of stuff you dont actually need. they started on a monday and the weather cooperated for the most part, got a little dicey on wednesday with some wind but the crew covered everything up properly and came back thursday morning to finish up. whole job was done in about four days. i was working from home during all of it and honestly the noise wasnt as bad as i expected, my zoom calls went fine which was my biggest concern going in. the foreman knocked on my door when they were wrapping up and walked me around the house showing me everything they did up there, nice touch for sure. been a couple months and we already had heavy snow and ice sit on it, roof is holding up great with zero issues.

4All did a full roof installation on our home in Elgin. Architectural shingles in a dark brown, new ridge vent, and they replaced all the pipe boots. Looks completely different now.

They came in time, fixed the roof, and left everything neat. It wasn't a big job, but they took it seriously, which I really respect. I'd hire them again for sure

Wind does not lift a roof from the middle. Airflow separating over a roof edge generates negative pressure — suction — and design standards put the highest uplift loads at corners, then rakes and eaves, then the field. Perimeter zones can see pressures several times higher than the centre of a slope ⚠. This is why damage after a windstorm looks the same on house after house: creased or missing shingles along the first two courses at the eave, and lifted tabs at the rake. It also means an inspection has a defined starting point. Our crews check perimeter zones and fastener pull-through first, then work inward. After August storm activity, that is a 30-minute job. If you searched roof repair near me in South Elgin after a windy night, the edges are where the answer usually is.1 day agoCall now
