  I had a less than enjoyable experience with Weather Shield. I will admit, 98% of my issues are with one employee who was assigned my case. There was not a single part of the lengthy process that this particular employee didn't mess up in one way or another. Hopefully, since my case was resolved, they have improved their employee training protocols.

  We had some heavy snow build-up on our roof this past winter, resulting in ice dams forming. We called Weathershield in Rochester, and they were out almost immediately to address the situation. It was obvious in talking to them that they really knew their business, and what actions had to be taken to safely remove the ice dams. Before finishing, they also cleared all the snow off of our entire roof, and did the work on a bitterly cold day. Also had them do an assessment of our attic insulation that was contributing to our problems. And to make a long story short, we ended up having them completely upgrade our attic insulation and roof vents. We were very impressed with everything they have done for us, and everyone's knowledge and expertise. Should we ever need anything else done in the future, they would most definitely be our first choice because in addition to the quality of their work, they're great people to work with.

  After a hail storm in May, we had about 10 roofers come out to our house for quotes, and Weather Shield stood out! I instantly got the sense that we'd be in the best of hands with them. They send out a roofer to take care of a patch on our roof quickly and have been patiently guiding us through every obstacle our insurance company throws our way. No one should ever have to deal with the experience we’ve had with insurance, but if you do, Matt and John are the advocates you want on your side.

  WOW, WOW, WOW! Our journey with Weather Shield started after We got hit by storm damage to Our Roof, We were referred to Weather Shield from Our neighbor. From the very first call We made to Weather Shield We felt at ease. Lars Hottel handled everything and I mean everything with professional knowledge for Our Roof replacement from the start. We had the initial meet & greet with Lars and next he was on Our roof taking pictures and surveying the damage from Hail. Before We knew it the date was set for full Roof replacement. The day came and the Weather Shield Roofing crew arrived supervised by Lars from the start to finish. We can't say it enough how Extraordinary Knowledgeable, Professional & Personable Lars was and every person on the Roofing project was. After this outstanding Roofing project experience and after 29+ plus years home ownership, We decided to do some extra renovations and have windows, doors, garage updating & gutters replaced that once again was headed with ease by Lars. As I started this review it was yet another Wow, Wow, Wow experience! All We can say is when all said & done it actually felt like Christmas Morning standing back admiring Our home's storm roof replacement to the elective renovations. I must add as I feel it's very important to do so, We approached Lars on the personal home renovations after the Roofing storm damaged replacement, not once did We feel any sales pressure. So with all this said, We want to especially thank Lars and all of the wonderful crew members from the Office to Our home site for doing an A+ task from day one! We highly recommend Lars Hottel as the go to person with Weather Shield for storm damage and for any elective home renovations as We experienced both.

  They did a great job from start to finish! So friendly and it was all handled quickly and with great communication. We are out of town for them and they had no issue in helping us. Installation went very well and the end result was more than we were hoping for. 100% recommend!

  I don’t often write reviews, but Weather Shield deserves this positive review. After interviewing 3 other roofing companies, we chose Weather Shield to replace our hail damaged roof, gutters, and siding. The job is complete and looks great…we are very pleased! Our journey with Weather Shield began with Sales, Lars Hottel, who explained how things work (the insurance process, what to expect from Weather Shield, selection/securing materials, how their crews work, to inspections along the way). Lars did not stop there, he was present for answering our questions and ensuring that we were satisfied along the way. From the Production Manager, Rob, to the roofing, siding, and gutter crews, all were prompt, courteous, and thorough from start-to-finish (protecting our house surroundings, roof application, to cleanup…they even returned flower pots and a decorative fence to the original position). Weather Shield’s Roof Inspector, Lawrence, reviewed the roof and pointed out a couple minor things to have his crew address. Promptly, the next day, gutters were installed by Devin and crew…and inspected by Greg, and the gutter job looks great too! The siding crew, under Aaron, did a great job. And the office staff…who can make or break a company were great, Kylie, Sarah, and Production Kendra were professional, prompt, courteous and a joy to talk to on the phone. It’s been a long while since I’ve seen this sort of work ethic and communication from a company…to put their clients’ satisfaction first. Thanks Weather Shield!

  Chad Abel worked with the insurance adjuster and was able to get my roof, siding and gutters replaced with no hassle smooth process up untill there was a problem with the siding on one side of the house bubbling! They sent someone out to look at it a couple of times and haven't heard anything back from them since! It's becoming a little frustrating at this point and has kept me from giving 5 stars. It's my understanding that Chad is no longer with the company ?

  This company did an amazing job working with our insurance and helping us get the maximum amount for hail damage to our property. They did a fantastic quick and efficient job on our roof and replacing our garage door! Very pleased with the service we received we will definitely be using them in the future!
