After the storm, they quickly assessed the roof and spent nearly an entire afternoon securing loose shingles and checking for leaks. The repair has held up well over the past week despite a couple of heavy showers.

The problem turned out to be a cracked flashing which they replaced quickly, and after a week of rain, the repair has held up well without any leaks. This is an improvement over my last experience with a different company, as their fix didn't last through the first storm.

The emergency roof patch took about two hours, which seemed reasonable given the extent of the damage, and they made sure to explain that it should hold until we scheduled a more permanent solution. They used tarps and sealant effectively to prevent further leaks, which was appreciated given our concern about rain in the forecast.

The shingle repair took around two hours, which seemed appropriate given that they replaced several damaged sections and sealed a couple of minor leaks. Watching the technician work was reassuring because he showed me which shingles were compromised and explained how he secured the new ones.

Shore Homes Get a Different Kind of Roof Leak Than Inland Properties Living near the water has perks, but it also means your roof deals with different stressors than homes further inland. Salt air, higher humidity, and more frequent storms combine to create leak patterns shore homeowners run into more often. Salt-laden air accelerates corrosion on metal components like flashing and fasteners faster than in drier, inland areas. A flashing seal that might last years elsewhere can weaken sooner near the coast, creating small gaps that let water in during wind-driven rain — exactly the kind of storm this area sees regularly. Add in humidity that keeps materials from fully drying out between storms, and wear speeds up in ways general repair approaches don't always account for. This is why a leak repair near the shore benefits from someone who understands these coastal-specific stressors — not just patching the visible gap, but checking nearby flashing and seals that may be closer to failing. Addressing this properly means the repair holds up against the next storm, instead of needing to be redone next season. Trusted Roof Group repairs roof leaks for homeowners across Manasquan with coastal wear patterns specifically in mind, not a generic inland approach. 📍 179-181 E Main St, Manasquan, NJ 08736 Coastal roofs need coastal-aware repairs. 👉 Call us today for a thorough roof leak repair.2 hours agoCall now
