  We’ve been in contact with this company since April 2025, finalized our quote and paid the deposit on June 6th, with a clear agreement that the full roofing and exterior siding job would be completed during the summer. As of mid-November, the roof and exterior insulation have finally been done — but the siding installation still hasn’t even started. Despite repeated promises from their representative to provide a firm installation date or at least proof that the siding materials were ordered, we’ve received no updates, no timeline, and no accountability. Communication has been very difficult throughout — constant excuses, missed follow-ups, and no proactive effort to resolve delays. With winter now setting in, we are genuinely worried about potential weather damage to our newly renovated house due to the unfinished exterior. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable timelines or professional communication. Mar 2026 update: The siding portion of our project was formally cancelled in November 2025, and a refund (20k+) was requested for the uncompleted work. As of March 2026, the matter remains unresolved and the deposit has not been returned.

You provided your deposit on June 6th, and framing began on July 21st once your concrete contractor completed the required footings and foundations. As you were aware, the roof framing required additional time because the architectural drawings you provided - purchased online - did not meet Ontario Building Code requirements and needed significant onsite adjustments. These deficiencies set our overall schedule back by almost four weeks this season due to the extensive framing corrections required. The exterior insulation board was completed on September 19th, but several windows needed to be repositioned before that stage could be completed properly. After ongoing discussions with your framer, we made it clear that the windows and doors installed by your window company were not set to the correct depth and were installed without proper seals. Not only could they not accommodate siding, but the incorrect installation created the potential for moisture issues. They had to be built out to the correct depth, properly sealed, and brought to warranty standards. These corrections were completed on November 6th (last week). We were prepared to move directly into siding installation once these corrections were completed. However, as we all know, an early storm system moved in. As with all renovation or exterior work, weather can temporarily affect installation timing despite best planning efforts. Throughout this project, we worked hard to keep our crews available, but we also have commitments to other clients and ongoing projects. When delays occur - whether due to weather, design changes, sequencing issues, or waiting for mandatory inspections before the next phase can proceed - they naturally affect scheduling across multiple job sites.   Having used Trade in the past with reasonable results, I found myself in desperate need of a small roof repair. I contacted their office and was told that basically their only roofer was not available due to a family matter. I was told that they knew of another person who may help. They were to get back to me if this was a possibility. After numerous messages left on their system, they never had the courtesy to return my call. Poor customer relations and a nonprofessional company.

  This company is a pleasure to work with. They did a minor repair to my roof last year (prompt service, reasonable price) but did recommend getting quotes to replace the roof as it was showing signs of age (approx 15 to 20 years. I got an estimate from them which was very fair and explained everything they would be doing. Very detailed quote. The estimator/salesman was open and honest and a pleasure to deal with. The office was always responsive to questions and again just a pleasure to work with. The crew arrived as scheduled and completed the job in two days as promised. They cleaned up the work site very well and left my yard spotless. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone considering getting work done on their roof.
