We had an appointment scheduled for an emergency snow/ice removal from the roof because we had a roof leak. No one showed up at the scheduled time, no notice, NOTHING. Only after WE called to check in a couple hours later did they say they couldn’t come due to cold weather, even though they knew the forecast when we scheduled the appointment the day before. Dishonest practice that duped us for our business and left us without repair.

A wind storm came through Vernon and some shingles were ripped off our roof. We called TJR and were put in contact with Toby. He came out right away and explained our options in layman’s terms. While we were talking with our insurance Toby kept in contact with us during the whole process. We have solar and Toby has a contractor on stand by to remove and reinstall them. James and his team showed up at 6:30am and the roof was done by 5:00. The yard was picked up like they were never here. I can’t thank Toby enough for sticking with us and they did a perfect job.

Communication before, during and after was phenomenal! The work crew came early and the job was done same day. They were very careful of the plantings and the yard was spotless when they left. Toby worked with us beforehand with all of our many questions explaining everything in detail. I would highly recommend TJR to anyone!

Nick and his workers did a great Job putting a New Roofing Shingles on our 75 year old house. The cleanup was well done and if we had any questions, Nick answered them quickly. During the winter months Toby and his crew cleaned off the snow due to an ice dam. Very nice people. Marjorie and Mary Thompson, Ellington,CT

We recently had storm damage to our roof and siding and chose TJR Construction in Vernon CT for the repairs—and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and truly cared about the quality of their work. A special thank you to our project manager, Nick, whose dedication to the job and eye for detail really stood out. He made sure everything was done right and kept us informed every step of the way. Liz in the office was also an absolute pleasure to work with—organized, helpful, and always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. And it’s clear that Toby, the owner, brings a level of experience that only comes with 28 years in the business. That kind of knowledge and pride in workmanship really shows in the final result. Our home looks fantastic, and we feel confident everything was done properly and with care. I will absolutely recommend TJR Construction to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality work. Thank you again to TJR Construction
