  Working with this company throughout the quote process was good, we figured out what we wanted, price was okay, and the complexities of the job were addressed up front. The age of the house and stucco was the main hurdle, and we were assured that the strapping was a common way to deal with it. We agreed to the quote in May 2021 for the work to commence in September 2021. Fast forward to late August, an email comes in at 5pm on a Friday, stating that this company would simply not be performing the job. Reasons stated were: water lines(I have one hose bib), power lines(all homes have power lines) and the age of stucco. In speaking with Wendell, after about a week of trying to get a phone call back, it turns out the real reason the job was cancelled is because his lead installer hurt himself earlier in the year and “didn’t want to do the hard jobs anymore” and his new installer doesn’t have the experience to do harder jobs. Wendell seemingly was also unfazed by any of this. Buyer beware with this company, as it seems they don’t have the competence to do any work that has been sold.

  Cameron. We are sorry for your personal experience and we were not able to do the work on your house because of an injury to our siding installer in 2021. He was off work for much of the last half of the year. It was his decision he felt he could not work on old century homes any longer because they pose various complications the majority of homes do not. Because of his skill and faithfulness, we honoured his request. Our other siding installer who has been with us for 6 years had never tackled installing siding on a century home with the old pebble dash stucco (which is hard like cement and very brittle after 100 years). Because of this, he was reticent to work on your home and personally, I don't blame him. When this all came about I was quite candid with you about it and felt it was best for you and us we not proceed with your work. We are extremely sorry we could not proceed with the work. I would like to add we have a fantastic team of installers and we work together with them and respect them when these problems arise. We do wish you and your wife all the best and years of happiness and enjoyment in your home.

  The say those don’t use sub contractor’s, but sent a sub to my house. You can tell by how fast they rushed through it. Terrible flashing job and looks like like a kindergarten kid did the caulking job. Basic flashing skills were visibly lacking. Tried there best and caulked the rest. My wife tried to point out deficiencies and they just kept saying don’t worry, we’re not done yet. My wife grudgingly accepted the job as she felt pressured. The eavestrough looks great, but all the capping and caulking is not even close to a professional job.

  Tyler. You seemed extremely happy with the work when we completed it four months ago and we have not received one telephone call from you afterward asking to fix any deficiencies in that time. A little FYI, Marin and Matt did your job and they are NOT sub contractors. Marin has been with me for 10 years and he has 18 years experience. I've never had a complaint regarding his flashing work or caulking. Perhaps you could call us and we can try and rectify what ever issues you have with the work.   I emailed the Eavstrough Company to get a quote on capping my garage door & to get a quote on siding the rest of the house. The woman called my husband the next day & basically told him that they wouldn't even give us a quote unless we were definately going with them. She even went as far as saying that they were too busy & it wasn't worth there time. I will NEVER use this company nor would I recommend them. It must be really nice to have so much money that you can be rude & turn away potential customers. They should realize that word of mouth goes a long way & so does social media.

Here is the email you sent us the day before: "Good evening; I am looking to get a quote for getting my garage door capped. We had some rotting wood that we replaced but now it needs to be capped. I'm hoping this can be done in black. We would also like to get a quote on siding & soffits, etc. for the rest of the house. The best # to reach us at is (phone number deleted). Thank you. What she attempted to communicate with your husband was we would be happy to provide you with a quote for the house but we could not take on capping a garage door as a stand alone project as we can not take on small projects at this time.   They wouldn’t give me a Soffit and fascia estimate because “Our crews require a driveway to park the work truck and work out of as well as have issues with the distance between homes such as yours” Not what I expected from a company specializing in eavestroughs

  Despite advertising that they will provide estimates, when contacted to have my eavestroughs replaced they declined to even provide an estimate.

  Christopher. I know it must be frustrating to you but we do not promise give estimates to everyone who requests it. Your request for an estimate was politely refused because you are at a very heavily trafficked major intersection in downtown Hamilton. We did not deem this safe for our workers nor could we figure out where to park our 26' box trucks. We wish you all the best.

  In restoring an old house I have dealt with a lot of contractors. By now I'm used to the impersonal service you receive, but I am willing to take it in stride if it means good workmanship. I was getting my windows replaced, and the soffits and fascia on my rear dormer were looking their age, so I figured I should get them done. A little over a year later and the fascia peeled off in the wind last summer. I had someone else replace it. Faster, cheaper, friendlier, and if it blows off again I've already gotten the same lifetime out of the repair. Buyer beware, I guess.

  Highly recommend this company. The installation crew was skilled and professional, working around some tight spaces and the challenges of a 100 year old home. Joshua and Rachel made communication easy and were always available. Great improvement to my home!

  From my initial inquiry and meeting with Josh to the final payment, every step of the project was seamless and professional. Rachel's responsiveness and project updates were appreciated.
