I’m trying figure out why a business card would be left at the house when a sign at my door clearly states that I am not interested in a new roof or any other service. Extremely unprofessional and would never give them any of my business.
Reply from the business
We apologize. Our representative must have missed the sign. I hope disposing of our business card was not a major inconvenience. We have a software program that allows it to make sure we don’t come back if you’d like to call in and request that.

If this company shows up one more time soliciting from a hail storm that occurred back in April and it is the middle of July, you WILL BE ARRESTED! They came twice in four days! The same PERSON! If this is a way you have to drum up business by continually banging on private residential homes, then you are someone I would NEVER, EVER do business with. You have crossed the line. My husband called your company and advised you of such. I have contacted the sheriff’s department and filed a report. Oh and your motto, “We will work with your insurance company to get you a new roof at no extra charge to you, screams FRAUD! If you need a roof replaced, find a local reputable company and not someone out of state banging on your door multiple times days apart after a bad storm.

Anita, We are sorry you feel this way, but our team has more than complied with your wishes as I personally spoke to your husband. We did not show back up after you asked. This is a very poor way to handle the situation especially after I promised we would not be back. You obviously went through a storm that damaged your roof greatly enough where your husband said you have had 40 + roofers out. Now did you terrorize their Google reviews like ours? I know you did not! Once again I apologize and hope you have a better day. By the way, we are very local and reputable. Our office is within 20 miles of your home. Thank you Jon Taylor

Second time this company has come to my home soliciting business. I'm unsure why "we're not interested" doesn't cut it

Brianna, 3rd times a charm. Now that you have our information, shall you need our assistance you know that our service will be prompt. Our rule is to only visit once. I apologize for the inconvenience.

We contracted Taylor Construction of NC to replace our roofing in December 2021 and just had everything done in September 2022. Although Taylor completed all jobs, we ended up with a shingles color we disliked and far different from what we selected. Let me share some of experiences and lessens. (1) The quality and services of TAMKO shingles are the worst we have ever seen. We selected the “weathered wood” color of TAMKO shingles which Taylor provided. It supposed to be dark brownish color. We checked it in real samples and ending results on other house carefully before we signed the contract, but we ended up with a light greenish color roof. We brought the color issue to Taylor right after they installed the shingles. Taylor then brought in TAMKO rep to review the color. Everyone agreed that the color is defected at that time and Taylor filed a claim to TAMKO Warranty services in January 2022. It took 6 months to receive TAMKO first response after several phone calls and emails. TAMKO warranty services concluded that my roof color is consistent with “weathered wood” color and they told us that “dust from the factory can sometimes cause the shingle to look lighter during install and that rain will wash the dust off giving it a darker color”. No wonder it took so long for their response, they were waiting for rains to wash off the “factory dust”. Unfortunately, after 9 months rain washing, our roof is still the light greenish color. NEVER use TAMKO shingles again. Some contractors may have incentive to use TAMKO shingles and don’t let them talk you into using it. Run away if your contractor presses you. (2) You need to do quality control by yourself if you hire Taylor Taylor lacks quality control, although they would try to correct afterward if they could. For our shingle color, Taylor told us that they had installed lots of TAMKO “Weathered wood”, so they should be able to know the color is wrong when they opened the patches they ordered. The problem is that

Thank you Mr & Mrs Zhou for your review as we welcome all feedback. To clarify your issues, you the homeowner did pick out your color. As we did agree at first your shingle color was off, however since then the shingle dust has fadded away and the color does match the intended look of this particular shingle color. TAMKO does a fantastic job on standing behind their warranties, better than any manufacturer we have worked with. Your home started with a black shingle and I can understand how you are not pleased with your selection but your home still looks amazing with your color selection. As far as quality control. We are one of the very few companies who actually have project managers that climb roofs and check what our crews are doing during installation. The shingles are installed 100% to manufacture guidelines with high wind application. The finial you speak of was actually a framing issue that we went into detail about with you. It was not straight due to the framework being off. We did not frame your home so we worked with the preexisting poor workmanship that we were givin. As you know we warranty all our work. If you need anything we still want to help as much as we can. I believe we showed you that if there were any concerns we did as much as we could to address the issue. We thank you for your business and review.

Multiple attempts have been made since first contact to get a quote back from Carson and the team at Taylor Construction. We had a tree strike our house and they were so prompt they came out that day to determine damage and review for a quote. The quote was promised by the end of the week. It’s been 7 since our last contact and we have tried calling, texting, and emailing. We were really hoping to do business with them, but the lack of contacting us back is alarming.

Hi Danny, I apologize for any communication error if that is the case. My company actually cannot seem to find any message from you--are you possibly trying to reach Taylor Roofing and getting Taylor Construction confused with that name?

Discovered a leak from the roof onto our second floor ceiling and called Taylor Roofing to look at it. Joel from Taylor came out the day I called and found some nails on the roof that were popping out and causing the leak. Instead of making up a story about major repairs needing to be done, he told me he could address the problem by covering the loose nails with an adhesive sealant at no cost to me. My wife and I have seen Taylor putting a new roof on a neighbor’s home and were impressed with the extensive precautions that they took to protect our neighbor’s property. We now know that they are also exceedingly honest and trustworthy. If you are looking for a top notch and trustworthy roofing contractor for work on your roof, do not hesitate to call Taylor Roofing.

I wasn’t satisfied with the level of professionalism. Scheduling felt disorganized, and timelines kept changing without much notice. The end result was okay, but the overall experience could have been much better.

Everett, We have no knowledge of you being a customer of ours. If so, can you elaborate on who your representative was with our company so we can better our processes? This seems to be a spam review based on us getting 3 reviews at the exact same time. Thank you

The quality of work didn’t fully meet my expectations. There were a few issues that needed fixing after the job was supposedly completed. While they eventually responded, it took longer than I would have liked. I think there’s room for improvement in attention to detail.

I had a disappointing experience overall. Communication was inconsistent, and I often had to follow up multiple times to get updates. The project also took longer than initially promised, which caused inconvenience. I expected a smoother process for the price paid.

I had a great experience Carson. He came out multiple times to inspect my roof and was extremely thorough each time. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and never rushed the process. Very friendly, responsive, and professional. It’s rare to find a company willing to go the extra mile like they did. Highly recommend them if you want an honest and detailed roof inspection. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
