  Chris came right out to meet with us upon our initial call, however once he knew it was an insurance claim he refused to provide a quote. We were shocked. A quote request seems pretty basic when getting a roof repair. None the less he refused the quote claiming “he does not provide a quote in conjunction with an insurance estimate”. A classic money/storm chaser. He was a fast talker and lacked the people skills needed to support a young couple with their first major home repair. Our final communication involved him not replying to our text. We have since gone with Southern Star Roofing and have had an outstanding experience.

  Mr. Foggie, I am completely taken back by your review. When you first called me last month, you were very frustrated with the company you had called out, Southern Star, as they had not called you back for weeks to help with your siding repair. I immediately sent one of my representatives out to meet with you and check on your roof and siding damages. Over the next few weeks we continued to help you through the process as our specialty is working with insurance claims. We seemed to be communicating well though both phone and text conversations.   I called them for an estimate on my roof. I set up an appt for them to come out and look at it. I called the day of the appt to confirm the time and was told that the person who was to come out quit and no one was coming. I was then told that they don’t do free estimates and it would be 250$ for an inspection. I was then told a minute later that it would actually be 350$ and unless they were coming out to replace the roof they weren’t interested in doing and inspection or repair! Complete waste of my time and horrible attitude!

  Ms. Franzo, As was discussed when you called, we do not have any records showing that an appointment was scheduled with you. I am thinking you may have gotten us confused with an appointment made with another company. Regarding our pricing - We do offer FREE Roof Inspections, but we charge a fee for roof repairs, roof diagrams, and roof reports (as you requested). Our office manager held much restraint during this phone call, and she continued to try to help you even as she listened to your offensive language, rudeness, and crude comments. After seeing you have consistently left 1 star reviews for over a dozen companies across Charlotte, I believe that nothing was going to make you satisfied.

  Storm Guard is easily the most professional residential contractor of any type I have worked with. Isaac Shultz went way above and beyond expectations to ensure every step of the process was smooth from start to finish. He is a huge asset to the Storm Guard team. Storm Guard was price competitive with other options I considered while also investing in quality. They had a full time on-site project manager during completion of the work, which is rare and extremely helpful for communication and quality assurance.

  We had a great experience with Brandon from Storm Guard of Charlotte. He arrived right on time for our gutter job assessment and was courteous throughout the visit. He gave us excellent advice on how to plan for future projects, and there was absolutely no sales pressure—he never suggested anything that wasn’t completely necessary.   Storm Guard was referred to me by a neighbor as I was interviewing roofing companies. My initial meeting with Andrew (the owner) was very professional, informative and productive. Andrew and his team provided my home with a new roof, gutter and carpentry roof. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. The production team went above and beyond to make sure the work was completed to my satisfaction and that my yard was clean and nail free upon their completion. I highly recommend Storm Guard for a quality product and professional installation. It’s very apparent that Andrew cares about his customers and his employees. I will use Storm Guard again for any exterior future needs! It so nice to find a reliable company to do business with!
