  DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR - Active Roof Leak, Defective Gutters, Zero Response I hired Tartan Builders out of Columbus for a full roof and gutter replacement following an insurance claim. The experience has been an absolute nightmare. The gutters subcontracted out by Tartan Builders were installed completely level with zero pitch. As soon as spring arrived, rain began pouring directly over the sides instead of flowing toward the downspouts. Then, an active roof leak developed around a roof vent, causing visible water saturation, bubbling, and staining on my interior ceiling. I have placed over eight documented calls to their answering service since March regarding the gutters, and multiple urgent calls in August (the last two weeks) regarding the active ceiling leak. The answering service confirms that "urgent escalation tickets" have been logged every single time, yet Tartan Builders has completely ghosted me and refused to return a single call or honor their warranty work. Failing to properly install gutters, leaving a customer with an active roof leak, and ignoring repeatedly logged urgent service calls is unconscionable. I am currently filing formal complaints with the Ohio Attorney General Consumer Protection Division and the BBB, as well as pursuing legal remedies under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act. Save yourself the headache and structural water damage—hire a contractor who actually stands behind their work.

  ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE !!!!!!!! They left nails in my yard!! My dog ate (and stepped on one) because my dog ate on he died!!! When I told the company this, they called my dog stupid :( RIP Snuggles :((((

  I had an unpleasant experience with someone from Tartan Builders who showed up at my door unannounced. He was a blonde man who acted like he was in charge of the company, though it didn’t seem like that was actually the case. He kept pushing for an inspection even after I clearly said I wasn’t interested. When I declined again, he became noticeably rude and dismissive. The whole interaction felt pushy and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t feel comfortable working with this company. I don’t appreciate being pressured at my own home, especially by someone representing a business.
