  In June 2022, we replaced our roof dome. Synergy Skylights offered 3 options: a clear dome, a frosted one, or a flat glass (presented as a “better” more energy efficient product). They were the only contractors proposing a flat solution, which initially surprised us. After getting multiple reassurances (including two instances when Laureyn used a level to establish that our roof was slopped enough to allow water to run) and trusting their expertise, we opted for the flat solution. Granted, we were told we might need to clean the glass a few times a year: a task deemed “feasible” since we had roof access (an unfolding large ladder on our neighbor’s porch). It’s now been more than a year. Each time it rains or snows large puddles form and stay for days on the glass. After we expressed our disappointment, Synergy told us that they assumed we would not have signed-off on the pricier job of reconstructing the interior opening (the proper solution to allow the glass to slope). Perhaps? But having lived with the endless puddles and constant dirt, a flat glass does not seem like it does the job. It’s too bad since this dome is above our main stairway and entrance.

  We are very pleased with the new skylights and their functionaloity. All work was completed and cleaned up and the installer ( I am sorry to not remember his name) was professional and explained all the work and how the skylights work.

  From our first interaction with Laureyn discussing our options for skylight replacement to the final installation, we were 100% pleased! Laureyn walked us through our options, sent multiple proposals and answered all of our questions. The Velux solar powered shades have been a godsend over the past couple of weeks, especially since our air conditioner sprung a coil leak just a couple of days before the installation. The installation crew was fantastic! Andrew and Nick were meticulous getting those new skylights in place and finishing the inside near the drywall (that was all Andrew). Laureyn was able to get a super close match on our shingles-we have some black fungus growing on the roof and were not able to get the roof cleaned before the install. I’m hoping once the roof is cleaned the match will be just about perfect! The husband, wife, and cousin team who scraped the old shingles and reroofed the area around the skylights did a meticulous job, including cleanup! They all assisted in getting those large skylights placed safely and ensuring there will be no leaks. The building inspector was also very impressed with the job they did, inside and out! After seeing how hard they all worked on one of the steamiest hottest summer days, I can tell you we’d hire them again if we ever needed! You should not hesitate! Their pricing was fair all around, offering discounts for multiple skylights. It was a big expense but we knew we were living on borrowed time with our 40+ year old skylights. Thanks again to Laureyn and the full installation team!

  We were very pleased with the work done for us recently on our sun tunnel! Synergy Skylights came just a few minutes late and got to work right away and had the project done in very quick order. They also gave us some advice on dealing with bugs with out sun tunnel. Great work guys!

  Laureyn and the team at Synergy Skylights did an outstanding job on the Velux Skylights replacement. They showed up on-time and were able to complete the project in about three (3) hours. The product with the shades that can be operated with a remote has my wife over the top excited. The room temperature is about 7 degrees cooler with the shades down during a full sun day. The team left our family room spotless after installation. I would highly recommend Synergy Skylights both on workmanship and value.
