  We were referred by our home inspector to Summit Roofing. We purchased this home knowing it needed a new roof and Ian came out, gave us a quote for $14,000 which is reasonable. We are happy with the roof, however during the removal of shingles, none of our outside floors were covered with tarp, causing our dogs feces to be smashed into the grass pad with shingles. We also installed lights on each level of our house (we own an electrical company) and half of them were damaged and no longer work on the top floor. The gentleman who came today claimed they don’t think they broke them and won’t be taking care of them. I find that disappointing as we are business owners ourselves and would never damage a homeowners property and refuse to take care of it.

  After Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 made its way through ENC a leak was discovered in my roof we had another roofing company (fortitude) come look at the damage, he said the chimney was in bad shape he told me to apply for the IBHS fortified roof grant. In Nov 2024 we applied and I picked only businesses with 4.5 stars or more majority of my bids came back that month but we were short on funds so we waited to pick. In February we were ready to pick a company, when Jordan from summit called to get me an estimate and we set up a meeting with Jordan. Jordan was a great sales person sadly majority of his sales pitch turned out to be a lie. On March 18th supplies were delievered but not covered with a tarp like jordan said not a big deal but then it all went downhill from there. The next day the crew got started taking all the shingles off when they got to our chimney the damage was worse than we thought so we were so excited for them to rip it off and replace the rotting decking like we had discussed with jordan and like our contract stated (replacing rotting decking) but then the day continued and they werent touching the chimney. We were told by jordan that ford would be taking the lead on our project but he was still in training so jordan would be there throughout the day to check on him, that was another lie (We later learned that ford had been with the company for 8 months and jordan 2 months). Throughout the day there was a lot of problems I gave ford my general contrator, Shannon Gilmores, number and Shannon was my life saver advocating for me throughout the process. Jordan was no where. When i came home from break (6 hours after they started) they were putting flashing on the rotting wood, my husband and I were not happy but i had work so my husband talked to ford and ford handled it and replaced the decking on the chimney. I talked to Jordan twice once on my way home once on my way back to work. Both times he put on this fake charm and talked to me like I was a

  I recently hired Summit Roofing of Wilmington to replace my old roof. I could not have made a better choice. Everyone I worked with an ultimate professiona! The work was done with a minimum of fuss and inconvenience. They worked with my insurance, and answered all questions I had. They made sure that I was aware of all of the options available to me. I absolutely love my new roof!

  Responsive and responsible. Responded quickly when we had a leak in a storm before the roof was finished. Responded during the storm and placed tarps while the weather was still bad.

  Summit responded quickly to my roof concerns, diagnosed the issue and made the repairs within a couple of days. I found the pricing reasonable and thus far I have been satisfied by the work performed.
