I don’t like the fact that they overcharged me on my quote $1200. Two other roofing companies did their own inspections and they both quoted me a price that was dead on! They told me that my Allstate insurance company would pay for the …

Had this company do my roofing about 2 years ago. I was told that my price after the insurance would be an almost 1600. So I took out a loan for that amount. After I gave them the money I took the loan out for they came and told me that I still owe them over 700 bucks more and if I didn’t give them money in a week they would send me to collections. About 6 months after doing the roof they sent someone out saying that my roof was bad and it needed to be replaced. The people that work here are not friendly and they don’t go over everything with you. This company never once went over the entire project with me until after I posted the review which was 2 years after they did the job. This company lies to you and now they are trying to harass me to change my review or take it down. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF.

Hi Ryan Long, Thank you for your feedback. We understand there was initial confusion regarding the final balance due after your insurance claim was supplemented. As is standard in insurance restoration projects, additional damage was identified during the process, and your insurance provider approved supplemental funds to cover that work. This resulted in a revised project total, which was clearly communicated by our team. Our office staff took the time to walk you through the entire process and clarify the source of the additional charges. After that conversation, you acknowledged the misunderstanding and agreed to remove your review. We would appreciate it if you stood by your word and followed through on removing the review, as it was based on a misinterpretation of the insurance process — not any fault or wrongdoing on our part. STR8 Up Roofing handled your project professionally and in full alignment with industry standards and your insurance coverage. We remain committed to honest service and clear communication and are always available if you need further support. Sincerely, Skyler Teague STR8 Up Roofing & Construction

A no solicitation sign means no soliciting. It doesn't mean knock on my door and leave a door hanger. You must not know roofing very well either because I had mine replaced less than a year ago. If this company takes these kinda of shortcuts when advertising, I can't imagine what shortcuts they'll take on your roof.

Hi Phil Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concern and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. Our team was not soliciting a sale or pushing a product — we were offering a free, no-obligation roof inspection as a courtesy to homeowners in the area, especially given the recent storm activity that can cause damage many don’t even realize is there. Our intention is to provide value and helpful information, not to pressure or disturb anyone. We make every effort to respect posted signage and sincerely apologize if a door hanger was left in error. That feedback has been shared with our team to ensure better attention to detail moving forward. At STR8 Up Roofing, we’re proud of our reputation for quality workmanship and honest service. We do not cut corners, and our work speaks for itself. While this outreach may not have been well received, we hope you’ll consider us in the future should you ever need a trusted roofing professional. Sincerely, Skyler Teague STR8 Up Roofing & Construction

Area of roof leaking and won’t my phone calls about that. Also, trying to come back and say we owe them over $7000 after Farmer’s insurance paid them over $9400. Our deductible was $500. Trying to rip us off horribly. I’m sure this will end up going to court and cost even more.

Hello Brad, I am sorry that you are having issues with our company, however, it seems that you may be confused. As discussed with our billing department about your open balance, your deductible is 2500 as this is what you set up with your Insurance provider. Also, the additional funds that have been discussed with you are funds that your insurance has paid for additional work that we completed. we have issued a work order to look at your roof and fix any leaks you may have. Please take care of your bill as more than 50% is past due. Thank you

Lacking integrity is the best way to describe this company - billed three times for work that was not authorized and for someone me that was promised but never delivered. Poor communication or almost non-existent communication. Best wishes if you are attempting to do business with this unscrupulous organization. Disconnected hot water heater vent pipe and refused to help for over two months - reported July 4, Jerry-rigged on September 14. Tore off gutters, would not replace them until after multiple calls, them Jerry-rigged them from the originals and I will have to hire someone to come out as they will not respond to requests for corrections. Written in contract they would cover all siding damage to prevent further deterioration- this was never covered. Just all around unconcerned about customer or their contract. I realize there are companies like this out there - please be careful.

Hi Larry Gerken Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry that your experience with our company did not meet your expectations, and we’d like to address the points you’ve raised to provide some clarity. Regarding Communication & Billing: We understand there were concerns about billing and communication, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion. The additional charges were related to repairs that were authorized and covered by your insurance, which was outlined in the contract. We provided a detailed supplement explanation letter, which clearly explains the process step by step. Our office team has made multiple calls to clarify this and ensure you understood each stage of the process. Unfortunately, it appears there were still misunderstandings, and we are truly sorry if this wasn’t communicated as clearly as it should have been. Hot Water Heater Pipe: We also understand there was an issue with the hot water heater vent pipe, which is a common concern during re-roofing. We immediately addressed this by hiring a reputable, licensed HVAC contractor. After reviewing the work, we confirmed that the pipe was correctly repaired to industry standards. In addition, we offered to credit you for the work if you preferred another HVAC contractor to resolve the issue using their method. However, our subcontractor was unable to meet your expectations, and we were unable to move forward with any other arrangements as you declined further assistance. Gutters & Siding: We sincerely apologize for the delays regarding the gutters. We understand your frustration and regret that the issue was not resolved sooner. After multiple calls, the gutters were reinstalled, and we offered to fix them if necessary, but it seems that there are still concerns. Regarding the siding, we would like to clarify that siding repairs were never part of our contract. As outlined in the scope of services signed on 5/23/2024, we were only contracted to handle roof and gutter work. On

This business scams on people that have just went through a storm. Do not do business with them. They told my grandma she needed a new roof bc it had hail damage after replacing it 4 yrs prior. We got a 2nd opinion and was told yes the roof has hail damage but it does not need to be replaced for a while. I don't recommend using people that can't return a call and just want money.
Reply from the business
We take accusations like this very seriously and want to be clear: we do not scam anyone. Our inspections follow the standards set by insurance companies, and ultimately, it’s the insurance adjuster—not us—who decides whether a roof qualifies for replacement due to storm damage. In your grandmother’s case, our team identified hail damage and recommended she file a claim so her insurance company could make the final call. Even the second opinion you mentioned confirmed there was hail damage. That alone shows our assessment was honest and valid. We always educate homeowners that there’s a limited window to file a storm-related claim. Waiting too long can result in the claim being denied, which could leave the homeowner responsible for the full cost of a new roof out of pocket when it eventually does need replacement. We’re here to help protect homeowners from those situations, not take advantage of them. If there was any breakdown in communication, we apologize and are happy to speak with you directly to address any concerns.

My son is visually impaired. He lives in south wichita, ks which was hit with sizable hail about a year ago. Landon and his associate came to the door to see if they could inspect the roof and help. He said yes and the process started. They did all the insurance work and was cordial and respectful to the very end. I would highly recommend this company and Landon to those who need a new or repaired roof.

I had worked with Boyd who assisted me in a complimentary inspection for hail damage that happened on my roof earlier this month. He pretty much did all the heavy lifting for me for filing a claim, which included calling my insurance company for me and then personally coming out to meet my insurance adjuster when they did the roof inspection. He was easy going with little pressure and had a positive outlook for the experience. I highly recommend him for others for a great overall experience.
