After leaving the original review 7 years ago I must update this review. We are having an issue with our roof on one side. The decking boards are wet in our attic on one side. We are told it could be that the roof was installed improperly. We called Drew because we wanted him to come and look since his company installed it and we trusted the company. He instantly got an attitude saying it’s no longer under warranty and that it’s an issue with our insulation. That is definitely NOT the issue because if it were both sides would be wet and they aren’t. He proceeded to tell us he wouldn’t even do anything until March or April when all we wanted was for someone to come out and take a look and tell us what might be wrong. Needless to say we won’t be using this company to fix the issue and I’d be cautious to use them if I were you. Spartan Roofing in Gratis,OH did an excellent job on our roof! Had it torn off and put back on in one day. They did a great job cleaning up and were very friendly and professional. I would recommend making sure they place something under their truck if it’s in your driveway and you worry about oil stains. That was the only issue we had. But the overall job they did was fantastic and I would highly recommend this company!

Once I finally got hold of someone, I was told that someday, could not say when, he would bring a crew over on spur of the moment to look at and decide how much it might cost. This would probably happen while I was at work, because just couldn't and wouldn't give me a set appointment obviously didn't care if he got the job or not. Well I don't care either.

Charles, the project manager, was excellent. We want to recognize the hard working crew that were very excellent. Thank you to Drew. We absolutely love our roof and we couldn't have asked for better service all around and from everyone involved. Highly, highly recommend this roofing company.

I had a great experience with Drew and Spartan Roofing. I had storm damage and Drew came right out and documented everything and worked with my insurance to help me get everything sorted out. I had minimal effort on my end. Drew took care …

I recently had my roof replaced by Spartan Roofing, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Charles was absolutely fantastic to work with. From day one, he was responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about helping me through the process. He worked directly with my insurance company, came out multiple times to take additional photos, and went above and beyond to make sure I received the coverage I deserved. He kept me informed every step of the way and made what could have been a stressful situation much easier. The roofing crew did a great job. The new roof looks amazing, and they were very thorough with cleanup when the work was complete. It’s not often you find someone who provides the level of customer service that Charles does. If you’re considering a new roof, I highly recommend Spartan Roofing. Thank you, Charles and the entire Spartan team, for a job well done!

Even with weather delays they showed up on the day they said they would, the crew was extremely thoughtful with my property moving things out of the way and protecting things so they would not get broken. Did an excellent job on the roof install and clean up. Would recommend for any Roofing job!

I have been adjusting property claims for over fifteen years across multiple states, and working with Spartan Roofing and Renovations — specifically Charles Rue — was easily one of the best contractor experiences I’ve had. I have written two reviews for roofers in my career and this is one of them. Charles was honest, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. He communicated clearly, provided thorough documentation, and went above and beyond to make sure the homeowner understood the process and received exactly what they needed. There was no pressure, no games, no inflated expectations — just straightforward professionalism and integrity. He worked collaboratively throughout the claim, helped streamline the process, and ultimately made things easier for everyone involved, especially the customer. That kind of contractor is rare. I would absolutely recommend Charles and Spartan Roofing and Renovations. If you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely cares about doing the job the right way, this is it.

We had a wonderful experience with Charles and the crews from Spartan roofing. Had a new roof, gutters and gutters guards installed. They were fast, friendly, affordable and even took care of some fascia board repairs!! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Spartan Roofing. Charles made it so easy for us, was professional, and assisted us in a time that could have been frustrating. Their pricing is extremely reasonable and the process from beginning to end was seamless. Although I hope to not need their roofing services again, we will be contacting them when we need gutters!

We are immensely thankful for Spartan Roof and Renovations. After spending 1.5 years arguing with State Farm about repairing/replacing our leaking roof, a neighbor connected us with Spartan. Within just days of Charles coming out to the house and submitting his information to State Farm, we received word that they would allow a roof replace. Within just weeks, we had a brand new roof on our house and no more leaks! Charles was great with communication. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were aware of each step that was being taken. He provided video of the condition of the roof and the process of the replacement. We felt confident we were in good hands the entire process. We would highly recommend Spartan Roofing to anyone!
