Too few ratings to compare against other roofers — at 9 ratings a single unhappy customer moves this figure by several points.
The critical reviews
The one and two-star reviews, first. These are what a star average hides, and they are the reason this page exists.
We hold no one or two-star review text for Smythe Roofing. That is not the same as there being none — it means our capture did not reach any. The rating breakdown above is Google’s own count and is the number to go on.

I wanted a roof that will outlive me. That’s exactly what I got! The crew was wonderful, organized and polite, they worked until after dark each day to stay on schedule ( frost was an issue in the mornings). When they left the area was cleaned up and looked like they’d never been. Except for that wonderful roof. I will recommend this company any day of the week.

It's been a year since our new roof was installed by Smythe roofing and it has been a wonderful upgrade to the home. Looks great and has weathered rain and snow beautifully

It was a pleasure doing business with this company. Both the office staff and the crew were very personable, professional and efficient. They were able to accommodate my tight schedule, did great work, were in and out quickly and left the place spotless. Highly recommended!

The best option for the Southern Gulf Islands! Fern and Vince of Smythe Roofing helped us with every step of the process. We opted for a standing seam metal roof and the roof was installed with such professionalism and craftsmanship. This is the only roofing company I would recommend for the Gulf Islands and southern Vancouver Island area. Absolutely fantastic work. Quick to respond to emails, informative, and incredibly helpful. They really helped us in a pinch and we will recommend them to anyone and everyone we know!

Where this page comes from
Every figure above is Google’s, captured on 24 September 2026. The star average and the 9 ratings behind it are counted by Google across all of its reviews. The review text on this page is a sample — we hold 9, of which 8 have any text — and it is not everything Google shows.
Roof Warden does not verify licenses, bonds, insurance or workers’ compensation cover, and nothing on this page should be read as though we had. Confirm those directly with the contractor and with your state or provincial licensing body before you hire anyone.
There is not much data on Smythe Roofing. A short record here means our capture found little — not that there is nothing to find, and not that the business is new or inactive.
