  Eddie’s not too caring in the quality or the details of the work done. Was a torch on roof no proper barrier put down to replace the previous vapor barrier or flashing done properly lots of fly by nighters

  Stay away from this company. They caused damage to the interior of the house and refused to pay for the damage. Really bad customer service. We are left with thousands of dollars in damage. Worst experience ever. …

  Hi Marina, we are sorry to hear that both your insurance and my insurance denied your claim, I understand your frustration. Unfortunately with a 80 yr plus house and original plaster ceiling there is going to be some unforeseen risks when you hire a roofing company or any other sort of trades to do work for you. When the plaster cracked and fell, your husband agreed with me that there was nothing else that we could have or should have done to prevent this, and the rest of the job went forward and with no other incident. At the end of the job we were paid in full and your husband thanked us for doing a good job. Again, I feel your frustration with the denial of compensation from both insurance companies, but that is why we have liability insurance.   I'm the husband of Marina Bettaglio and am replying to the owner's response to her. As I indicated in subsequent e-mails to the owner and to the insurance adjuster, I stated very clearly that I believed that the roofing company was responsible for the ceiling damage. I continue to believe this, and for this reason I believe that Marina and I should be compensated for the repairs we will end up having to make.

  Ed took my call while driving and so requested an email with my request to make an appointment. After settling on a time for an appointment over email to which he was very lax in responding, he never showed up for our appointment and didn’t communicate. Super disappointed with this company - use someone else

  The timeline between the response to my inquiry for a quote and the finished project still boggles my mind. The crew did a marvellous job on the roofs, was efficient and very polite. Ed came out for a final inspection to make sure everything was as it should be. Thank you. I already recommended you to a friend.

  Had our roof replaced by Shoreline Roofing this week. The guys were efficient, fast, and friendly, could not be happier with the result. The owner Ed, was easy to deal with, answered messages promptly, and offered a fair price. I highly recommend this company.

  The crew from Shoreline did an exceptional job on our roof. Pricing was fair and the quality is excellent. Final product is fantastic and they even made sure to clean up the property (swept/used the leaf blower to clean up all the debris) which was much appreciated. It was clear that the workers cared about the quality of the work they were doing which is hard to come by. Very happy and highly recommend.

  Very impressed with the work of Ed and his team - replaced the roof of a duplex. Great communication and appreciated his quick responses to any questions we had. Highly recommended!

  Our roof wasn’t even ten years old. I asked Shoreline to do a roof inspection, where we realized that I had so many leaks, and mold growing in the attic, Because the original roofers used cheap materials, and had poor craftsmanship, and sprayed insulation over the vents that are supposed to allow airflow in the attic. Ed, found a local in Sooke that he works with to supervise the job and take lead. Guy, That’s his name, showed me his rubber roof made by a Canadian company called Euroshield… I saw one more rubber roof. They had done a couple blocks over. Then they told me that one roof will save 750 to 1000 truck tires from going in the landfill… I was sold! The old roofers had not capped any of the wood, which is why some of the wood frame on the front and back of the house have rotted out multiple times… I’ll never have that problem again because this time I have the best quality roof and I am 100% sure amazing craftsmanship!! Yahoo!!

  I recommend Shoreline for your roofing needs. They had reasonable pricing, responsive communications and provided quality work. I needed a new roof and deck due to remediation work and it was hard to find a company who would respond in a timely manner and who could do the work within a week or two. Ed’s quote was reasonable and he said it would take 5-7 days. He and my contractor communicated well to coordinate timing as certain projects were dependent on the roof being completed. To my surprise, there was a big crew who worked 3 full days to get everything done! The crew were reliable, polite and did a great job with the daily clean-up, which was really appreciated due to kids and pets always being around. My neighbours also appreciated that my house didn’t look like a tornado passed by. There was a supplier mix-up and the wrong vents were installed. I thought it was too late but Ed was amazing with fixing the error. No fuss at all and I’ve received many compliments on the roof already. Sincerely, Helen in View Royal

  Shoreline Roofing replaced the shingles on my residence in June, 2024. The owner of the company, Ed Combs, was always punctual and super easy to deal with. His crew was very hardworking, paid attention to details, and cleaned up the yard at the end of each day (thanks, Guy and Oni!). Ed was also able to arrange a carpenter to repair a pre-existing sag in one section (thanks, Jody!) Reasonable price, excellent quality of work. Couldn't ask for a better re-roofing experience.

  The insurer wanted proof of our roof being adequate. I called Shoreline for an appraisal, which covered us, but we only had a brief bit of leeway, so I asked for an estimate. It was done quickly and I was impressed at every turn. The roof was on in quick order; looks great and the site left as clean as a whistle. I found the business on the Victoria BBB, and am happy I did. Ed Coombs and his crew are TOP SHELF!
