  We are sorry for this experience, it was not our intention. After you originally signed the contract for roof coating we really needed to complete your project before winter weather was a factor and we were aiming to do so. Unfortunately, you had a personal issue and were non responsive for a period of time. Once we heard back from you, you explained and apologized for the unresponsiveness. You then decided to change the color of the materials from what was originally planned, which took a week for you to decide on. The new color you wanted required going with a completely different coating system, which we happily did for you. By the time we were ready to start, the temperature had dropped and the weather was not conducive for roof coating. We were also hit with rain so we came up with a plan to hold off on the coating until after winter. You agreed and the plan was to do minor work to ensure that your home didn't leak while you were waiting. The temporary plan entailed tightening, replacing, and adding caulking to screws that needed it. Unfortunately we had provided this exact scope of work in quote form for your cabin as well, but you had chosen not to do this. I believe this is where the mix up took place between your cabin and main home, which we take responsibility for. When you were called and notified that a roofer was on the way to watertight your home two days prior that was true. Unfortunately the roofer who went to your house was being terminated that morning but had driven directly to your home (where he had no cell service). Our project manager had to go meet him in person to dismiss him (since he couldn’t reach him by phone) and should have notified you of any changes once he was back in service. Not communicating these changes with you or any other customer is unacceptable and we are looking into why that may have not happened. Our project manager is always on top of communicating with customers so what you have described is very out of character. I

  Shelton Roofing did a roofing in 2006 and we where pleased with their work. But when our had a leak last year it was a different outcome. We had to wait approximately 3 or 4 weeks, When the workman came the did not repair it the first time and I had to call them back to try to repair the work of which they did. It the mean time they broke the faucet and I notified them of the problem with no answer. I had our gardener repair it. Also, I asked for a breakdown of the repair and no answer. Well they will not be doing the reroofing repair and I will contact some else to do the job.

  For some reason the original estimator left out a section of my roof. The foreman discovered this when my roof was already torn off. It added another hefty amount to my roof and it brought the cost above their competitors which I didnt hire! What a letdown THAT was. Their mistake and my money!Also A lot of the grit from the job got blown into my good planting soil which I will have to dig out and replace. I had asked them specifically not to poison that area and I watched them blow it in with a blower. Messy

  We were having problems with roof leaks in two specific locations. Shelton Roofing came out and inspected the areas and diagnosed the problem as happening because of wind driven rain. They were able to make improvements that have eliminated our problems. Their work was of the highest quality and was completed right away. They were good at communicating what needed to be done and what the cost would be. I was most impressed by their honesty and willingness to make sure I knew what needed to be done and the price was more than competitive. If you use this company I am sure you will be happy with them as people and especially their work.

  Shelton Roofing is on the ball. Their Team is great to work with and they get the job done, right. I appreciate their great customer service from start to finish & to all parties including Owner, Property Manager and Tenant. Shelton Roofing will always be my 1st call. One Note to Property Owners & Tenants: Roof repairs are tricky, and happen at the worst times possible, usually. Do your best as the Property Owner/Tenant to be realistic about time frames on repairs - - you do not have the only roof in town that has a leak. It will get fixed, it always does, Onward!

  They did a great job replacing the roof on our home. Communication was excellant and everything was done as scheduled. They even lowered the price because the materials ended up costing less. Nice to work with an honest and professional company.
