  Had an appointment and received the calendar reminder, took the day off, but rep did not show up. Only one missed call from a rep a number of days ago with a slightly different name than that indicated in email. No message. Phone number links to a different roofing company (Ma Toiture Montreal), different address, etc., not Rydel, so i did not call back. I now understand this is a franchise, a call back from the rep would have been helpful.

  Had a strange experience with Rydel. Asked for estimate Jan'26, immediately, same day, got a call and was booked a time for an in person consultation and was told Noah was going to contact me. Got 2 emails from Noah to confirm said meeting. So far, so good. Two weeks later, Jan 23, 2026, day of visit, we waited for Noah. Nothing! Late the same day he called to say that he was checking his schedule and saw that we had a meeting "yesterday or today" (his words), but that unfortunately he was not available until February 6, 2026, and that we then could reschedule something. No, thank you very much. I didn't like the customer service.

  We went with Rydel to redo our roof. Pros: - Work itself was completely promptly. - The roof itself appeared to be redone properly. - After an incident and the lack of cleanliness, they did try to make it right by offering a discount. - The project manager communicated promptly during the project. Cons: - They were incredibly messy. They left nails, empty water bottles, waste and garbage everywhere in the yard even when they mentioned that they will clean thoroughly in the contract. We have a young child that plays in the yard and safety was paramount. It was mentioned several times in the beginning and during the job. - They were pricier than their competitors but they "sold" us on quality and cleanliness during their sales pitch. However they did not deliver. - During the work, a roofing shingle was dropped 2.5 storeys on my head and shoulder as I was going into my house. The roofer was throwing the material from the roof down on the ground instead of into the waste bin. Summary: Overall I would not recommend Rydel. They do not work safely. The higher costs were not worth it. We were ok with the higher price if the job was done as per the contract but I had to clean up after them in the end at my own time and expense. They came back 3 times to clean but I still found nails everywhere. I would recommend to shop around and look elsewhere.

  Dear Haqeem, When we finished the job, I asked you what you found fair as a discount to compensate for the poor clean up on the job, and we settled on an amount and ended things peacefully. As a company, we were fully accountable to the mistakes we made. Anyone reading this knows that no one is perfect and mistakes happen, but it is how you make up for them that counts. As far as your roof goes, we delivered everything the was in the scope of agreement. I am confused as to why this review is being posted 4 months after the job, or what it accomplishes? I have called you multiple times and sent you a text (which I can see you read) in response to this, and I have heard nothing back. We operate our business with a high level of integrity and are trying to go above and beyond to make up for what happened. I was led to believe that we had left things in a good place. If this is not the case or something has changed, why can't we have a conversation about it? I will leave it with you, and am happy to talk at any time.

  Was very unhappy with the work of Stefan and the Rydel Montreal team. I wouldn't recommend this roofing company due to their unprofessionalism, communication both in person and over email as well as the final price which seemed high for the quality that was done.

  The asphalt shingles that were applied to my roof were awful quality and required replacing by another company a few months later.

  Hi Billy, we install Architectural or Fiberglass shingles usually either IKO, GAF or BP, these products have been proven to last 15-20 years without needing replacement. We also do not have any trace of ever doing business with you. If you are going to leave us fake reviews, you should at least make it seem more realistic...

  The team called ahead to let us know what to expect, arrived on time and walked us through everything. Matt took the time to validate a few pieces with us and the team went to work. Before the end of the day everything was done and clean up completed. Matt passed for a final inspection and answered our last questions. Great experience and very happy with the service we received
