  Roof Doctors in Fresno ,ca very dishonest would not recommend them

  Our records do not show that Roof Doctors Fresno has ever had a customer by the name of Rodney Pruett that we have ever done business with. This review posted by Mr. Pruett is very vague and ambiguous. Unless Mr. Pruett can either post the address of the property or describe the facts in a way that we can figure out what property that he is referring to then there is now way that Roof Doctors Fresno can determine what Mr. Pruett means regarding our alleged 'dishonesty' and why he 'would not recommend us'. Mr Pruett, if you are reading my response, please email me to discuss what happened during your experience with us so that we can determine if there is a way to rectify it.   Roof Doctors is a very dishonest company!!! I just had my whole roof repaired and certified in October 2019 with 2 year roof certification for $3500. All repairs needed were made at that time. We recently listed our home for sale. Our home buyer requested an inspection from The Roof Doctors on 3/18/20 for escrow purposes and your quote indicated that we needed $2,075 worth of repairs. I had 2 other professional and well known roof companies follow up on your inspection for a 2nd and 3rd opinion and both stated that you were generating work for no reason. Both stated there was no repair necessary to our roof. You knew you had me over a barrel and that I would approve so that escrow would clear. You should be ashamed of your dishonest business practices and I will be filing a complaint the Better Business Bureau. The best part of this is that the review right below mine from McKay Bigler is a Roof Doctor employee who did the inspection on my roof. Nothing like having one of your employees write a positive review for you! The case was not dismissed by the BBB and I am still waiting for a response. I only signed off on the work in order for the house to clear escrow. Roof Doctors know they are in the wrong and will be paying me back for their dishonesty wether it be through the BBB or a civil lawsuit. Do not do business with this company. They are extremely dishonest. Again, I had 2 other roofing companies do a full evaluation of my roof and both stated that there were no repairs needed. Both stated that Roof Doctors is known for generating work that is not necessary and in fact I was also told by 2 separate realtors that they no longer use Roof Doctors because they are so frequently dishonest. Too bad I didn't know this prior to having to deal with them. I clearly am not the first person they ripped off! They have made no attempt to contact me to fix the situation so we will let a judge determine their fate.

  This reviewer, Mr Risinger, was selling his home to a new buyer. The buyer of Mr Risinger’s home had us inspect the roof before his purchase of Mr Risinger’s home. We found that the valleys of Mr Risinger’s roof weren’t installed properly. We repair dozens of leaking roofs every year caused by this leak condition. The buyer didn’t trust the roof certification issued by Mr Risinger’s roofing contractor because they made a mistake certifying Mr Risinger’s roof with its leak conditions. In other words, Mr Risinger’s roofing contractor shouldn’t have certified the roof in the first place. Mr Risinger agreed with us, he signed our contract, authorized us to repair his improperly repaired valleys, and Mr Risinger even agreed to pay us, after the work was completed. Now that Mr Risinger’s house has sold to the new buyer, Mr Risinger wants us to refund him for the repairs that we had to do to correct the leak conditions that were missed by his own roofing contractor. We showed both before and after pictures to Mr Risinger to evidence the work that we completed. Mr Risinger even filed a complaint with the BBB, but the BBB dismissed his complaint because it was frivolous. As of June 18, 2020, Mr Risinger has no active complaint with the BBB because it was deemed frivolous and has been removed by BBB. Likewise, as of June 18, 2020, Mr. Risinger has not filed a 'civil lawsuit' against us, nor will he, because he signed our Contract describing the Scope of Work necessary to complete the repairs that were missed by the incompetent roofing contractor that Mr. Risinger had hired to certify his roof before selling it without correcting its leak conditions, and after our Scope of Work was completed Mr. Risinger paid us in-full and never objected to the contract signed by him, nor the Scope of Work, until after he paid us and after his house sold.

  I highly recommend you do not use this company under any circumstance. We had a roof inspection from Roof Doctors upon the purchase of our home. Within 1 year of a 2 year warranty our roof had water damage. The felt under our tiles had water damage as well as the underlaying supporting wood. This was due to a “mended” tile that was allowing water to protrude onto my roof. Upon contacting Roof Doctors they sent an inspector out to inspect the damage. I was informed that due to their policy they would not honor the warranty. It “may” be covered if there was an active leak into the home but if there was no evidence of a leak inside the home it was not covered under warranty. Their employees were very professional. However the policy they are required to follow does not actually cover you for any issues. We discovered the issue while attempting to install Solar on our home. Due to Roof Doctors continued delay in the process it has stopped any further progress with my solar installation. They assured me in situations like this they come out and repair issues within 1 week of the initial inspection. However this has not been the reality. They were supposed to repair the roof, for an out of pocket cost, on a Friday. They did not show, they did not call, and no contact was initiated by them. When I tried to contact the representative they told me they would email the main office for an answer. Again Saturday I called and they informed me that although they work on Saturdays that no one was able to give me an answer again. Finally on Monday the office now claimed that they would start to schedule my work be done another week out. The initial quote was given to me and when my realtor reached out to them to try and get Roof Doctors to cover the costs, they tried saying they would cover half the costs for double the quote. Thus the price out of pocket being the same. This company is unreliable, does not cover what they promised, and should not be an option if you are looking fo

  We understand your frustration, however, pre-existing damage to underlayment & wood that was there before our non-invasive inspection and repairs is clearly stated to not be covered by our warranty. The warranty is a leak warranty, not a home warranty. It clearly says that if your roof leaks, we will come stop the leak for free. It does not say that we will cover any damages throughout the home that could not have been detected without tearing off your entire roof during the inspection. The only reason this issue was even found is that the solar company removed tiles during installation and found the old damage.

  Have not given me a clear answer on the condition of my roof. Talked with other roofers, they gave completely different opinion on how to fix my roof.
