I contracted with RCC, Roof Concepts and Construction, for a new roof on August 13, 2024. I am the property owner and I have waited 5 months before leaving a review, hoping Brian would do the right thing. On completion, the roof did not pass inspection by a licensed TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) inspector on August 17, 2024. Also, during installation, it rained into my home even though the owner was alerted to a coming rain storm. He assured me the roof was completely sealed, but it wasn’t and there were no tarps on site to cover the roof. Several rooms in my home received damage from the water and the insulation in the attic was destroyed. Brian did repairs on September 20, 37 days after original installation, and again on September 20. On September 27, Brian finally went on roof to see for himself the job that we were complaining about. When he came down, he said “It is SO BAD I have to get another crew”. He had never sent out an experienced roofing crew, just handymen, and repairs were not done correctly. The roof failed another inspection by licensed inspector on October 30, 2024. More repairs were done in November, and another inspection was done in December. There were still deficiencies. So after 5 months and 3 inspections, my roof is still not acceptable. From the very beginning, Brian and Jenn lied to me. Their advertising claims business is female owned which it is not. Jenn said they were on my insurance company’s preferred list. My company does not have such a list. Brian said he used hand nailing of shingles because that was the proper way to do it, but they tried to use pneumatic nail guns until I stopped them. Brian said my roof was completely sealed when I warned him of approaching rain storm. It was not and there were no tarps on site to cover roof. Said roof vents covered by insurance were replaced, but two independent roofers said they were not replaced, just painted over. Said they are committed to making things right and

Gave me the run around after a couple of days. Did not provide estimate after sending someone out. Then tells me he can't send info due to resources. All I wanted was just an estimate for repairs. That is all.

Hugo it’s sad to see this review as you know why we chose not to follow through. You had several claims from several storm dates that you got monies for those claims with your insurance company. You did not align with our core values and what you were trying accomplish so we chose not to be a part of that, because we choose who we do business. Looking through your reviews that you have left other companies, we Made the right choice. I would say as a reviewer, you are at a 1 star with all these negative reviews you have left.

Sam — thank you for the detailed review. A write-up like this genuinely helps other homeowners across the Houston area know what to expect. Glad the walkthrough up front made the replacement easy to follow. Before we pulled a single shingle, you knew exactly what was going on your roof and why — that clarity goes into every job. And the crew delivered on the details that matter: on site on time, full tear-off and new shingle installation finished in a single day, and your property left clean down to the last nail. That cleanup standard isn't optional for us — magnetic sweep across the yard and full debris haul-off on every roof we replace. It was a pleasure handling the roof replacement on your home, and the new shingles look sharp — installed to hold up to what Houston weather throws at a roof. If anything ever comes up down the road, you know where to find us. — Brian Finley, Roof Concepts Construction

Huajin — thank you for taking the time to write this, and for having us out to your home in Conroe. A leak coming through the ceiling is exactly the kind of thing you want assessed fully before anyone starts repairs, because what shows up on the ceiling is rarely where the problem starts. Walking you through what we found, laying out the repair options, and being clear about what to expect is just how it should go — you should never feel pushed into a decision you don't understand. You're also right that the staging mattered. Getting a sound temporary cover on before the rain, then coming back to complete the permanent decking repair once the weather cleared, is what protects the work. A permanent fix laid onto a wet deck doesn't hold. It was a pleasure working on your roof, and we appreciate the trust. Anything comes up down the road, you know where to find us. — The Roof Concepts Construction team

Shihan, thank you — this one means a lot. The December wind event hit a lot of homes in Spring, and we wanted the claims documentation to carry the weight on your end — date-of-loss correlation, weather records, and slope-by-slope photo evidence — so when your carrier reviewed the file, everything was there. That's the standard behind every RCC Forensic Damage Assessment we produce. Appreciate you choosing Roof Concepts Construction, and reach out to Brian directly at (281) 973-4893 if you ever need anything going forward.

John, thank you — we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Maintaining a roof before problems show up is exactly the right call, and we're glad you trusted us with your home in Shenandoah. The maintenance package is designed to catch the things that get missed — the small details that turn into expensive repairs if they go another season unaddressed. Fast and precise is exactly what we aim for every time we're on a roof. In and out, no surprises, no mess left behind. Recently Roof Concepts Construction (RCC) did two jobs for me. One was to leak-proof a leaky patio cover. Two was to install new gutters and a drip edge. The patio cover work impressed me because I had contacted numerous roofing companies, and none of them were interested in what amounted to a "small job" but still an important one to me, and also a job that required knowledge and commitment. Two of RCC's project managers (Trey and Sam) did the work themselves, as they pressure washed the top and then spent quite a few hours applying a sealant to create a membrane. It did rain several days after the job, and guess what, no leaks! The second job was to install gutters, and this is when I found out the original home builder had not installed a drip-edge, which is now code in Texas. The crew that did the drip-edge was quite competent and they finished in a day. The next step was the gutters which was finished on a second day. Both the gutters and drip edge look great, and now when I look around my neighborhood I can see many of the houses do not have drip edge. Basically, I am very content with the work, the look, and the positive vibes I got from Trey and Sam. Finally, over the course of both jobs I had a lot of contact with Scott who is the office coordinator. Scott is definitely the type of person you want on your team and as a courteous and knowledgeable contact point. If you contact RCC and talk to Scott, you will find out what I mean, and I am certain that if you choose RCC you will be happy you did. More recently, I had a minor issue unrelated to the work RCC did in September. There was a small leak at one of the vents. Trey came out and was able to easily fix it on a second visit. Because RCC seems professional and capable I have decided to subscribe to one of their routine maintenance packages so I don't have to worry in the future and can sleep at night. Marshall McArthur

Marshall — thank you for the detailed update, and for trusting us across multiple visits and now into a long-term maintenance relationship. The patio cover membrane, the drip edge discovery, the vent repair — each one of those is an example of what we think roofing should look like: find what's actually wrong, fix it the right way, explain why it matters. The maintenance package you signed up for is worth speaking to directly, because most people assume roof maintenance means someone comes out and puts silicone over failing nails. That's not what we do. Our packages are built around pulling failing nails and replacing them with screws and EPDM rubber-gasketed washers — the same standard we use on every new roof we install. Most homes in Shenandoah and across the Woodlands area weren't built to that spec. This is how we bring them up to it, and how we extend the life of the entire system instead of just buying time. Trey, Sam, and Scott represent exactly how this company is supposed to operate. We'll keep earning it. — Roof Concepts Construction

James, thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful review — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience! You did your homework, and we respect that. Getting multiple bids and asking the right questions is exactly what every homeowner should do. The fact that hand nailing stood out to you means a lot — it's one of those details that separates a roof built to last from one that just looks good on install day. Impact resistant shingles rated for 130 mph winds and hail resistance are one of the best investments a Houston-area homeowner can make, and your new roof is going to protect your home for decades to come. We're glad the process was smooth from start to finish and that the end product was exactly what you envisioned. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every single job. Thank you for choosing Roof Concepts Construction, James — it was an honor to earn your trust! 🙏

Hi Tom — we really appreciate the review and the opportunity to help with the roof repair at your home in Conroe. Our goal on every repair is to address the actual problem, not just the visible symptom, which is why we also corrected the exhaust ventilation issues we found. The previous setup had two bathroom fans tied into a single 4-way termination, which isn’t compliant with current building standards. Each fan should terminate independently, so we installed two proper bathroom vent terminations to ensure everything vents correctly through the roof. We also installed a proper DryerJack dryer vent termination with an integrated damper. Most homes unfortunately have incorrect roof vents used for dryers, which can trap lint and restrict airflow. Using the correct dryer-specific vent helps improve safety and performance long-term. Glad we could get everything repaired, cleaned up, and documented for you. If you ever have questions about your roof, ventilation, or anything else related to the system, don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for trusting Roof Concepts Construction.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 01 Every roof has a story. Some are built because a storm left no choice. Others are built because a homeowner refuses to settle for "good enough." This home already wore a beautiful stone-coated steel roof. It had served its purpose well. But the homeowners wanted something designed for the next generation. They chose Brava Roof Tile composite barrel tile—a premium roofing system engineered to resist fading, cracking, impact, and the extreme weather Texas is known for. Backed by a 50-year limited warranty, it's built to deliver the timeless look of traditional clay tile without many of the maintenance concerns that come with natural materials. Over the coming days, we'll take you behind the scenes of this transformation. You'll see what we uncovered during tear-off... What was hidden beneath the surface... Why the details matter... And how a roof is truly built the right way. Because at Roof Concepts Construction, we believe homeowners deserve to understand WHY something is done—not just watch the finished product. One home.
