  Apparently their records are as thorough as their work. Had some insulation, fascia and soffit work done several years ago. Regretted ever since. Poor workmanship which I have had to repair several times since. While insulating they filled a cold air return with insulation which I had to spend several hours removing myself. Left metal shards from cutting material in the yard and driveway which I had to clean up. Seems they had a third party vendor call repeatedly to give them a review. When we finally did say that we couldn't recommend them and wouldn't hire them again. One of the owners called to complain about the review. Really we wouldn't want them back to fix the deficiencies, just glad to have them gone. Look elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.

  Porch and roof repair. 1.) One employee wore flip flops climbing ladders and working on the roof. 2.) The bid was for entire replacement of porch roofing materials but actually they only replaced 3 items and left all the old materials on the roof, just laying new rubber matt on top to make it appear new material was used. Then charged entire bid price for ALL new materials. I was scammed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! NOT TRUSTWORTHY! SCAMMERS!

  Called to see if they would come to our home and give us an estimate and the lady on the phone was rude and said, "they don't give out estimates if we would not use their services". When people are looking for estimates, they typically don't just go with the first estimate they receive. Would not recommend this company!

We try to gather as much information as we can from the initial call to our office. Here is where our secretary learned that you are selling your home. Jamie made you aware that our roofing schedule is full for the year and we would not be able to assist you in the project. This is where she decided to decline your request for an free estimate since our timelines didn't match up. If this information was miscommunicated, I greatly apologize. Now, if you would like to use our estimation/inspection services to assist in the sale of the home, we would be able to do so for an fee if you're interested in that service.

  I have placed an accepted offer on a property. This weekend the inspector recommended that the roof needed replacing. I called Rock and Tait to get an estimate of the cost so that I could amend the offer for the cost of the roof. I was told they would come and give me an estimate for the cost of $300 which they would then deduct from the job once I owned the house and hired them for the job. I explained that I could provide proof of the accepted offer and asked if I owned the house and called asking for a bid if I would be charged. They said no, The irony of that is that I could be asking for multiple bids. The person who answered the phone said they did not have the time to go out and do roof inspections for home sales, even though the roof will be replaced one way or another. I felt the tone of the person I spoke with was condescending. I had heard good things about Rock and Tait and have owned multiple properties. They will not have to worry about my calling and bothering them asking for an estimate ever again.

  Unfortunately the estimate was crazy high. I told him we couldn't spend over $40k. The estimate was $39k and didn't include anywhere near what we wanted estimated.  And it wasn't itemized like I asked. We talked with other contractors about their estimates and they were not surprised. Had stories of their own. Other estimates were around half as much and included everything. George T didn't show up for the meeting, then blamed his admin, then sent someone else. It was over 2 weeks before we got an estimate.

  Couldn't ask for a better contractor or crew. Great options and pricing. They made me proud of our house again. It looks like a new house. Any future projects that fall within the many things they do we will be calling Rock & Tait. Thank you to everyone from Rock & Tait for making us love our house again. Roof two years ago and now all new siding, soffit and fascia. All new sheathing and vapor barrier.

  We had roof, siding, soffit/fascia and gutters replaced as a result of hail damage. We hired Rock and Tait to have a local contractor handle all aspects. It included a flat roof which required coordination between crews to get it done correctly. The siding was completed by a subcontractor and some corrections were required. Brian (40+ years of experience) and Kyle were brought in to finish. Their finish work was outstanding and they addressed any issues beyond our expectations. This was done without any charges added. The finish work final product deserves a 5 star rating.
