  I hired Josh Kroll owner of Prime Home Remod in the beginning of March 2024 to install a roof, windows, siding and gutters. This has truly been one of the worst and most frustrating experiences of my entire life. Josh used subcontractors who were terrible at their jobs and didn’t follow manufacturer guidelines or standard practice. Had he stopped by to do the job I hired him to do as a general contractor all of these issues could’ve been resolved as they arose. Instead the only times he was interested in swinging by or calling was to collect payments. Josh sent out a repair guy who I never met before to address concerns. This repair guy expected me to give him the final payment. I called Josh with my concerns. All he did was scream and threaten me. Josh didn't come out. I wasn't satisfied at all with how things went and many issues were left unresolved. He resorted to using a high profile attorney just hours after this took place. Important to note that this attorney is related to him and I believe was an attempt to intimidate me. He also had building inspectors from my township stop by without warning and off the record as a “favor.” No permits were required for this job so no reason for them to be at my home at all. A third party inspector did in fact reveal that things weren’t up to par, however Josh didn’t follow all directives from the inspector. The insulation board was not installed correctly and had to be redone among other items (windows, roof, siding). Josh started the insulation board job in December of 2024. They got the siding off and new insulation board up right as weather was coming in then left my house exposed in extreme winter weather conditions until February 2025. Garbage and siding left under snow and ice all over the yard blowing all over my neighborhood for over 50 days. I still had to fight every step of the way and am still dissatisfied. His guys came out several times throughout 2025 to address concerns (showing up with no notice everytime

  It's very irritating when you come to ppls house ..unwanted soliciting .. don't you think if I wanted your company ..I would seek you out ?! well I don't so don't come into neighborhoods seeking , knocking on ..doors being of annoyance.. We would never get a quote from a company that goes around knocking on doors seeking customers.. especially in times like this when scammers going around town to town!

  Unfortunately my experience with Prime was negative. When Josh gave me his quote, I told him that it was higher than a competitor (Pro Home Improvement), which I had previously done business with should have went with instead). Josh lowered his bid to get the business, which should have been my 1st red flag, especially since it was significantly lower than the competitor. I reluctantly paid my deposit and Josh advised me that I’d receive calls to schedule an appointment within a couple of days. I didn’t receive an actual was advised that I’d receive calls to schedule call until after I sent a certified letter requesting to be released from the contract. The work eventually got done, but I was dissatisfied with the rudeness and lack of communication after I paid my deposit. After it was all said and done, I ended paying nearly $2k more to have the work done, because he claims I needed several sheets of replacement wood. Not to mention before I signed the contract I asked if he’ll send me pictures of any wood that is going to be replaced. He agreed to do so. What he did instead was sent me pictures of the new wood that his crew put down. Absolutely not 1 picture of the wood that was bad that it needed to be replaced. I’m placing before and after pictures as proof that I had dealings with this company.

  Found on Angis. Needed estimate on small siding job. Didn't call back as promised. When I called again he was very rude and said he didn't want the job because I preferred to pay hundreds of dollars, not thousands. Said he would charge thousands. I ended up paying someone else less than a one thousand dollars.

  They did a wonderful job with our roof. Knocked it out in just over 4 hours, and did a stellar job. Very quick and efficient while also doing a quality job. No complaints. Would definitely recommend.

  HIGHLY RECOMMEND PRIME HOME REMOD! Great crew, extremely hard working. They point out any problems they find and offer solutions, as needed. Excellent communication skills. They worked nonstop doing an excellent job on our siding, trim, and gutters. Also, because of them, we now have bigger, stronger, nicer looking porch posts. We are VERY happy with Prime Home Remod's work and our new looking home!
