PLEASE do NOT hire this guy! His work is beyond shoddy. His workers do not remove old felt and simply cover up any rotten or storm damaged decking, leaving DIPS in the roof that will collect rainwater. They do not caulk any exposed nails or address cracked boots around vent pipes. Mr. Peacock is NOT registered/insured as a general contractor, as required by the City of Garland. He will not correct any faulty work and becomes angry and defensive when such is pointed out to him. He initially agreed to MAKE IT RIGHT and to make me HAPPY. I waited almost a MONTH for him to correct his work. He texted occasionally to say he hadn't forgotten about me. He did NOTHING to fix the problems that I had pointed out to him, finally saying that to do so would CUT INTO HIS PROFIT! He then sent me a text that he had inspected the job and it looked good TO HIM! He said he would come over the next day to pick up his final check. I will have to pay $3000 to have another roofing contractor to rip off shingles and replace decking. I offered Mr. Peacock $1500 as a settlement. He refused, saying he would see me in court.

  Reply from the business

I deny all of the made up accusations in an attempt not to pay me the remaining balance of $4,495.00. These statements are lies. She refuses to show me or to even let me come out to make any repairs. Our contract states that we have the right to make repairs to any concerns that the homeowner may have. She refuses to give us that opportunity because she wants to steal $4,495.00. She never voiced any complaints until she received a letter from my Attorney. I have been in the Roofing business for 48 years with an impeccable reputation, read my reviews, they speak for themselves. All business that do over hundreds of jobs a year will run into some one that will make up things thinking they can get away without paying you. Unfortunately there are customers out there like this. I pray that no other company runs into this type of person. I feel sorry for anyone else that Patricia Evitt has ripped off. Contractors beware. Read her 66 reviews, she loves to complain!

Barry Peacock of Peacock Roofing inspected my roof, explained what needed to be done and provided me with a very reasonable estimate. The installers completed the work in one day. Roof is well done and clean up was very good.

Barry, who is the owner came to my home to check my turbines that were installed by another company a few years ago based off me finding his number on Google and he didn't charge me for coming out, climbed on my roof and put my mind at ease. I was hearing electrical and humming sounds with nothing plugged in and thought it maybe the turbines. This gentleman was nice enough to come and help me out and didn't charge me a thing. This kind of service is rare!!! Thank you 😊 Barry!
