  Michael and his crew did an excellent job assessing our roof. He recommended a partial replacement and was able to schedule the job for the next week. Great communication throughout!

  I recently had Old Colony replace a vent pipe boot and repair the roof of my front porch. Mike (the owner) was fantastic. From the first time we met during the initial review, I could tell he was legit and knew what he was doing. He pointed out some things that needed to be addressed, but wasn't pushy trying to upsell me on more work. His communication is incredible, letting me know when material would be delivered and pictures through the entire project so I could see what was going on. These were pictures he took himself because he was on site for pretty much the entire day, only leaving to get a piece of plywood. This is the type of contractor you want working on your house. I will be needing to replace the entire roof in a couple of years, and I don't plan on wasting any time speaking to other contractors. His pricing is fair (not the cheapest), but the service and quality you get is far beyond what I see from other contractors I've had work on my house and well worth it IMO.

  Used Old Colony for a complete Hardie Board wrap and replacement of my 45 yr old rotting Masonite, replacement of wood fascia board and trim components with PVC/composite, new 6 inch gutters and Leaf Blaster Pro gutter guards, and fresh coats of Sherwin Williams Duration paint in a three color scheme. The 3 week job went smoothly, and completed in phases with different crews. Michael (the owner) was on site every day for much of the day, along with his crew chief, who handled the tricky and complex parts of the job. Even though I was very picky (my engineering background) Michael was very patient and bent over backwards to accommodate my needs, including the little details that make a difference in the final house appearance. Price: Competitive. Overall a very fair price for the big package. Value: Outstanding. You will get Michael’s expertise of many years in the construction business. He came up with innovative solutions and suggestions. Communication: Excellent. He really listened. We did a morning walk-around just about every day and was able to go back and forth with ideas and solutions and felt comfortable with process. Bottom line: I liked the idea of hiring one company to perform multiple phases of the job, instead of farming out to individual contractors. For sure, you can always find someone who will be a lower bidder. But you have to consider the quality of the work, and in my case, where the phases are related, it made sense to have one contractor do the entire job. I was pleased and would hire Michael again for other work in the future.
