  I had a minor roof leak that needed to be addressed, and Eric promptly came out. He was very professional. After looking at the roof and taking some photos, he could not tell me what was causing the leak. I was notified that they have a $5000 minimum for any roof repair and he then tried to sell me a whole new roof! Bro, what!? My roof is only 13 years old, and the addition is literally brand new.

Our company does have a $5,000 minimum for roof repairs, and when a targeted repair is close in cost to replacement our inspectors will sometimes recommend a new roof as the most long‑term solution. That said, we never want customers to feel upsold into unnecessary work; we will gladly review Eric’s photos and notes and discuss lower-cost repair options or provide a referral if that better fits your needs.   Leaves ugly, unsolicited advertising signs all along the roadways. Dont do business with a place that has to resort to this level of spam advertising and doesnt respect the communities they serve.

  This company trespassed onto my property today and put their sign on my lawn. They didn’t even ask if it was okay. We had our roof done last year by Willam Penn Roofing who did a beautiful job, NOT North Star roofing.

  I hired North Star off thumbtack The sales man was 40 mins late Even being 40mins late I ended up hiring North Star. From thereafter nothing but red flags from this place. The sales man was also15 mins late getting the contract over to me he said between 5-530 I ended up calling him 15 mins later so I wouldn’t have to wait around all night. I signed the contract did the financing. I asked the salesman which credit bureau they go through. He didn’t even know what the credit bureaus were. He thought I was talking about banks. After that he said to wait and hear back from the finance agency to receive an application approval letter. I waited from 6pm that night to 4pm the next day with no email. I did contact the sales man at 7am told him I didn’t receive anything yet. He didn’t contact me till 10:40 am same day asked me if I received anything and he’d look into it. I didn’t feel like much of a priority. At 11:57 pm that day he said he called them and said he’s waiting to hear back from them. At 4:40pm he called me said I needed to talk to the finance people, they have questions for me. In the middle of all of that I contacted the main office to speak to someone about my concerns of the sales man being late and the financing issues. I never heard back from the main office. I got another call from another roofer in the mist of this and went with them because they were a few hundred dollars cheaper with the same warranty and financing options. I called the main office to cancel the contract because at this point there is too many red flags and I couldn’t even get a hold of them. After my phone call about 15 minutes later I heard from my salesman he said that I needed to talk to the finance company because they have questions for me at that point. I told him I just signed on with another company. There are too many red flags and they’re a few hundred dollars cheaper. The salesman says a few hundred dollars that’s all this is over.   North Star Roofing and owner Jeff were set to start my roof the week I took control of the property. Over 14,000 sq ft it was amazing to see it come together. If they can do a building that is almost 100 years old and had been neglected for 20 years, they can install on roof with ease for you. Jeff is outstanding. He stands behind his work. I have had all good experiences with him and his crew. I highly recommend them!

  Part of why we chose North Star was due to Google reviews, so I'll add another. We had a great experience getting our gutters replaced. Eric handled our initial consult which was professional and low pressure. No slimy sales tactics. We scheduled our gutters to be replaced, fascia capped, and part of a damaged roof be repaired. The crews that came out were professional, FAST, and the work looks great. Highly recommend!

  I was very impressed with North Star Roofing. The crew arrived on time, were professional, and kept me informed every step of the roof installation. Their courteous and reliable approach made the whole experience stress free. Communication was clear and they answered all of my questions.   We had a roof that was original to the house, 23 years old. I probably could have waited another year or two, but Roof Star came out after I called them and came back with a very good quote to put on a new roof. A date was set, dumpster was dropped off, but mother nature had other plans. It pored for three hours that day. North Star was there the very next day, they started at 7 am, and were finished by 1:30 pm. Cleaned up and gone. I was given a quote for my roof from another company, who came in at $43 thousand dollars. North Star was more than half that. Happy with the price, the work, and the clean up.   Rained out on the day scheduled, they were back the very next day. It was rough getting up a 6:30 am,they were here at 7 am. Finished at 1 pm.. The crew were very respectful, even waved back at my 3 year old grandson.

  We had a new standing seam metal roof installed along with new gutters and a chimney refacing. Aside from a few minor issues that were promptly addressed, the new roof is beautiful and the work was completely professionally and per schedule. The new roof has already been through several rounds of severe weather with no issues! One thing I suggest for new customers, be sure to use the North Star online roof cost estimator. The quote given by the salesperson was way over the online estimated cost. In the end, North Star honored the online quote. It was a pleasure working with Chuck Hawley during the course of the project.
