  North Idaho Exteriors put a brand new metal roof on for us in Sandpoint which leaked profusely after the first rain. We immediately called Jim, who informed us he had been fired and gave us the owner's phone number directly who lives in California part time. He said he would call us back with a time that he could get out there to fix it and blamed everything on Jim. Sadly the owner never called us back so we kept calling back to see when someone could come since our entire ceiling was dripping water. But instead he blocked our phone number. We didn't know what to do so we hired another local roofing company who showed us that North Idaho Exteriors didn't even tighten most of their 5/16 roofing screws and the washers were not touch the metal hence all the screw heads leaking. They also missed an entire side of screws on the ridge cap which blew up and took on water. Mistakes happen in construction, we just expected them to fix it honestly and deal with it directly instead of block our number. In half a century of dealing with contracts this was a first. We were completely screwed and needed a full roof replacement by another company that was great. Beware of all of their fake reviews and talk to actual customers for their reputation. PS They've changed their business name multiple times and used to be "North Idaho Roofing."

  After researching the information presented in the review, our team found no evidence to support this claim and have been unable to identify the customer referred to in the review. The employee mentioned was terminated in 2020 and the company has no record of this job associated with the former employee's completed projects. North Idaho Exteriors has been voted Idaho's Best in the Panhandle in Roofing for 2022 and Idaho's Best in the Panhandle in Siding for 2023. Our team strives to maintain the highest quality service, exceptional workmanship and honor all warranties on every project completed. If the reviewer feels this was not done, we encourage you to please visit our website and contact us directly. Our company maintains that there is no basis or merit to these comments.

  I reached out to North Idaho Exteriors in June to inquire about repairing a section of metal roofing that had been damaged. I was told, "No problem, expect a call from Jimm." Several weeks later, after not receiving a call, I called back and was told, "I apologize we are swamped, expect a call from Jimm." Again I didn't hear anything back. After a couple more inquiries I actually received a call from the elusive Jimm, who told me, "Now that it is in my hands we will get it done." Jimm showed up the next week to inspect the damage and I was told, "No problem, we'll be in touch." A couple weeks passed and I never heard anything, gave them a call and was told, "The materials have been ordered and we will get there when they arrive." Since then I have not received a single phone call from them after leaving multiple messages for Jimm and the owner. Eventually, I was able to get the owner on the phone and was told, "So sorry, expect a call from Jimm." And that was the last I ever heard from them. I should have known this was a dead-beat operation after the poor communication at the beginning. I would advise anyone thinking about using these guys to think twice. I was eventually able to have our roofing repaired by a reputable roofing company. I wouldn't touch these guys with a 10 foot pole. How do these people stay in business?!?

  Do you find it nerve-wracking to make decisions about a huge purchase that you'll have to live with for years? Do you look at color choices and freeze because they all look good & you're scared you'll regret whatever you choose? That was me! -- Ryan (1) gave me the 3 estimates I requested for different types of roofing, then explained the pros & cons of each when I asked. (2) Helped me choose a color (Granite Black, my friends. Sleek & neutral). (3) Noticed a small side issue on our carport & fixed it while they were there (not part of the main job & really appreciate this).   North Idaho Exteriors did wonderful job on replacing our roof. Ryan walked us through the entire process and helped us decide on which shingle to use. Ryan also kept us in the loop on status and schedule. He was there at the job site at time address questions and concerns. The team did a quick and thorough job and completed it in a day and a half. The cleanup was also excellent. We couldn't be happier with our roof and the work performed.

  Ryan and North Idaho Exteriors came highly recommended from my real estate agent when I bought a home in Sandpoint. Ryan came out no charge to assess the roof of a house we were working to buy. That deal fell through, but Ryan did the same no cost evaluation on the next house as well. Once we purchased it Ryan & the North Idaho Exteriors crew replaced the roof. They had a great quote, were communicative, and did the work earlier than they originally quoted. Really happy with the quality of work done. Can't recommend them enough. Great across the board.

  As a property manager, I work with contractors regularly. North Idaho Exteriors is one of the best roofing companies I have worked with. They recently replaced a roof on two of our properties.   Highly recommend them!!! They handled everything with the insurance, did a awesome job replacing my entire roof. Were there when they said they would be. Very quiet, no loud radios, no yelling, protected everything and cleaned everything up.
