  started with a quote after some storm damage and honestly the process was smoother than i figured. got a few estimates around Glen Ellyn and these guys were the only ones who explained what they were seeing up on the roof. tear off happened one day, new roof done the next. they kept me updated the whole time which i welcomed since i work from home and was worried about the noise. the yard was clear when they left too

  started assessing roofers back in spring after a storm knocked some shingles loose. got three quotes, Nexroof didnt come in the cheapest but the guy who did the estimate actually went up on the roof instead of just eyeballing it from the driveway. they had a Wheaton job wrapping up so we got slotted in maybe two weeks later. install day they were there early, done by late afternoon. follow up call a few days after to make sure everything was good. whole process felt pretty straightforward

  We had a few spots in the attic where water was getting in during heavy rain, and it had started to stain the ceiling in our bedroom. Nexroof came out, figured out where the leaks were coming from, and did a full replacement since the roof was past its lifespan anyway. No more leaks since then.

  Every time a big storm rolled through I'd be up in the attic with a flashlight looking for new water stains, and honestly it was getting old. The north side of the roof had shingles that were curled up bad, barely any granules left on them. Patching at that point felt like throwing money away so I called Nexroof about doing a full replacement. After their inspection they told me there were soft spots in the decking where water had been sneaking through, which wasn't a shock but still not great to hear. What I cared about most was that they actually pulled up those bad sections of decking and replaced them before putting anything new on top. I've dealt with contractors before who just want to cover stuff up and move on, so seeing them take that step without me having to push for it was reassuring. We've had some pretty nasty storms since the install and I haven't found a single spot in the attic. It's a relief not having that nagging worry every time it rains hard.
