  Came to look at the roof to estimate a full replacement. They were only interested to see the insurance estimate. When we did not produce that we never heard from them again. Is that how you do business?

  We try our very best to explain how the insurance process works. We adhere strictly to the rules set out in House Bill 2102 which was passed into law & took effect Sept 1st of 2019. It is a modification and expansion of the deductibles law that's been around for many years that required homeowners to pay their deductible and “punished” contractors who waived-or-ate- deductibles. In order to comply we must see the insurance estimate to verify the deductible and to ensure that we follow the prescribed scope of work. We often find that insurance adjusters write estimates based on incorrect scopes of work leaving off crucial components for a correct method of repair. We work for our clients to help them get their insurance company to include all of the proper components for a complete, proper roof system that qualifies for the manufacturers warranty. Another reason that we need to see the insurance estimate (scope of work) is to make sure that we only invoice the homeowner & the insurance company for the work that we performed, and that the insurance company has approved that scope. It is fraudulent to invoice an insurance company for work not performed or to waive any part of a deductible. To my knowledge, there is no way for us to ensure compliance without seeing the insurance estimate. I understand that there are some unscrupulous contractors out there and that it’s sometimes difficult to know who to trust. We also know that some homeowners think that they can get bids from contractors who will do the project for less than the insurance estimate & keep the difference. Not only is that a way to ensure that you wind up with a substandard job (as insurance companies already underpay claims by as much as 30%) but it is also insurance fraud. If the contractor does the work for less, the contractor and/or the homeowner can only invoice the insurance company for the amount that was actually charged, thus saving the insurance company money. We only invoice property owners and CC their insurance company, if requested, as a courtesy to our clients. Additionally, part of our process is that we do not invoice until the property owner has signed a completion certificate indicating that all work has been done to their satisfaction.

  I called new ruf off a sign that I saw in my neighborhood I set a tentative appointment for somebody to come out on Friday and told the gentleman that I would get back with him and confirm because I was driving at the time. I never got back with him or him with me, but he still showed up at my home on Friday afternoon with no appointment set. No call before showing up either. I went ahead and let him do the walk-through on my property and he then wanted want to come into my home and show me pictures of the damages and things that we could add to insurance claim. I must add he had a long list of extra things we could add to claim. I asked him if he could please send me a quote for everything that was in need of repair or replacement and he said that he rather wait for the insurance to give me their quote on what they would repair. Seemed very fraudulent he was very pushy I asked him several times to leave my property he made me feel extremely uncomfortable.

  Tyler and Michael came to check my roof due to me finding a shingle in the side of my yard. They were here on time, checked the roof and I was informed that my roof was in great conditions. I appreciate New Ruf quick follow up after filling their online form, they put me on their schedule very quickly and was open to come check my roof after I got out work. Will be using them for future roof work. Will be waiting on their Gutter quote.

  I am very pleased with New Ruf. I had an after hours leak and New Ruf was the only company that picked up the phone when I called. As soon as the storms stopped, Saul arrived to get the process going and stop the leak. He gave me a few options on repairs, helped with insurance, and stayed on top of the completion. The crew that replaced the roof worked nonstop in the heat and cleaned up really well. All of the trades that came, were on time and did a great job.

  MJ, Vidal, and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job on our repair. They did interior repairs due to water damage and it may as well have not happened. The texture on the drywall is perfect.

  I used New Rüf for an insurance claim regarding an upstairs bathroom leak - this company does more than just roofing! MJ, my Project Supervisor, was knowledgeable, attentive, professional, patient and kind. She was with me every step of the way, and it was quite the journey! I don't know what I would've done without her! I was even able to reach her after hours for questions and concerns. Amazing service! I am pleased with the end result of the repairs and rebuild.

  I had a negative interaction with one person the first time I called to New Rüf to request an estimate, BUT they were so quick to respond and to address it, that I was positively flabbergasted by their amazing customer service and also by their actual work. They promptly repaired my damaged roof and now it looks like new! I spoke to several people from this company and all of them (except the first guy) were extremely professional, nice and understanding. I highly recommend New Rüf and will definitely use their services again when needed.
