  brendan and the crew at New City Roofing Co. did an awesome job on our gutter and roofing drainage installation. they started a little later in the day and wrapped up the next afternoon, and otherwise it likely would have been done in one day. we were able to look over the work the very next morning during a heavy rain, and the gutters and valley flashing were working flawlessly. three problem valley areas that had given us trouble before were completely dry. we are very happy with the quality materials, solid workmanship, and the way the whole roofing water-flow system was handled. i would highly recommend them for any gutter or roofer related job.

  this is my go-to team for roofing and related home work. as a real estate agent, i often have clients who need roof repairs, tile roof replacement, or leak checks, and i keep recommending this crew because their service is prompt, dependable, and fairly priced. they also replaced my s-tile roof, and the new roof looks great and has really improved the curb appeal. the roofing process was organized from start to finish, and the workmanship on the underlayment, flashing, and tile details was solid. i also had several home remodeling projects completed, including 3 bathrooms, with one major primary bath remodel that required moving the tub drain by opening the slab. even while we were living in the home, the whole job went smoothly, including permits, scheduling, cleanup, and communication. matthew was easy to work with and followed through on everything he promised. the finished results looked beautiful, and i still get compliments on the quality of the work, especially the roof. i will absolutely continue to recommend this roofing team for roof repairs, roof replacement, and other home improvement projects.

  I needed new gutters and gutter guards for my home and also wanted some roofing trim work to improve the overall look. Since I am a retired Veteran, I cannot safely get up and clean the gutters anymore, so finding a dependable roofing and gutter team was very important to me. I asked Matthew to stop by and give me an estimate, and he explained that updating the trim, fascia, and soffit would really improve the appearance of the house. He was absolutely right, and the finished work made the whole exterior look cleaner, sharper, and more complete. The entire team, from the office staff and project managers to the installers and billing team, was excellent to work with. Their customer service was outstanding, and they kept me informed through each step of the project with clear communication. It was a real comfort to work with a company that truly cared about what I needed and took the time to make sure everything was done properly. Brendan, Herbert, and the crew handled the gutter installation and exterior work like they were working on their own home.   We had a leak in our living room and at first it was hard to tell if it was coming from the roof or around the chimney flashing. I contacted New City Roofing Co. to check it out and help us find the real cause. After a careful inspection, Herbert found that the issue was related to the roof slope and the way rainwater was running down along the side of the chimney. The crew explained everything in simple terms, showed us where the water was getting in, and came up with a solid roofing solution. They worked fast, stayed professional, and handled the repair with real skill. After the work was finished, the area stayed dry and the leak problem was gone.   I have not hired New City Roofing Co. yet, but I watched Matthew and the crew while they were working on my home roof, and I was really impressed. Early in the morning a truck arrived, and they got started right away. First they laid out tarps all around the house to protect the property and keep the cleanup organized. Then they went up on the roof with shovels and roofing tools to remove the old shingles. By lunchtime, the roof deck was already stripped down and ready for the next steps. Later that afternoon, the new roofing materials were installed, and everything moved fast without looking rushed. Before leaving, they loaded the tarps full of old shingles and nails back into the truck and left the area looking clean. It was impressive to see how efficiently the whole roofing job was handled from start to finish. The crew looked experienced, worked hard, and paid attention to cleanup and detail. When I do need roof repair or a full roof replacement, I know who I will call. Good roofing work like that gets noticed fast, and it is easy to see why they get so many referrals. Great people, fair prices, and excellent service.

  Our whole experience with the roofing team was excellent from start to finish. From the quick reply to our first inquiry, to the roof inspection, clear estimate, and the final roof replacement, everything was done promptly, professionally, and with thoughtful communication throughout the project. Brendan was our main contact, and he was very helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. After spending far too long trying to patch recurring roof leaks, we finally decided to replace the roof, and we are very glad we did. Soon after the installation, San Francisco had several days of heavy rain, and for the first time since we moved into the house, the roof held up perfectly with no leaks at all. The new roofing system looks great and has given us real peace of mind. We highly recommend this roofing company with complete confidence.

  I got several roofing bids from different companies and also spoke with a general contractor, then compared everything carefully before choosing one roofer for my roof replacement in San Francisco. I kept notes through the whole process, and a few things really stood out. What this roofing company did well: - Clear communication through one main contact, which made the whole roofing estimate process much easier to follow. - A detailed proposal that explained the scope of work, material options, and where choices were mine to make. - Strong attention to detail and flexibility. Many of the smaller items I mentioned early on were included in the final roofing proposal. - An onsite roof inspection before relying on aerial measurements. That was important because my roof has a few areas and flashing details that are easier to understand in person. - A follow-up visit to review the proposal. I had several questions about the roof system, shingle options, and upgrade choices, and Brendan took the time to walk through everything clearly. - Honest answers with no pressure. All of my questions were addressed, including ventilation, flashing, pipe boots, and material upgrades. After reviewing the options, I decided to go with upgraded pipe boots and algae-resistant shingles, which felt like a smart choice for a long-lasting roof in San Francisco. Installation went very smoothly. The crew arrived on time, and the dumpster trailers were placed before the work began. My home had two layers of old shingles, so the tear-off and roof deck prep took extra effort, but the crew handled it well. They also found a few flashing issues from previous work and corrected them as part of the job, which I really appreciated.
