  TL/DR: Merritt Roofing has completely eroded my trust in their products and service. I do NOT recommend. 8-months after installation, we still don't have a roof we can trust, and they seem to be done supporting me. We did our due diligence and spoke to several roofing companies before choosing Merritt. We even went ahead and paid extra for the "Platinum Coverage" for added piece of mind. Aug 25 The installation crew did such a bad job on our roof that Merritt have since told me that they will no longer work with them. I understand that they do still work with the contractors, just not those exact installers. We were surprised to learn that Merritt contracts in installation crews, as part of what we were hoping we were paying for by going with a large, named company was a dedicated installation team. The edges of all of the shingles at the ends of the roofs were cut so badly that they were crescent-shaped, and the shingles underneath were exposed. There were a number of chunks taken out of the shingles by carless ladder placement. One of the crew had decided to fix part of a gutter that he had dislodged by shooting a bunch of nails into it, causing a leaking gutter. They had also cracked the soffit and it was just hanging out. Although this has now been put back in place, it is still cracked. The team packed up and left without saying anything to me, and the PM wasn't around. The team eventually repaired some of these issues. I was put in touch with Garrett Zarecky, the Merritt Production Manager. He scheduled a date with me at the end of September to come and inspect the roof. He also made a number of comments along the lines of "If we need to replace the whole roof, we will" and that he would check inside our attic space, if he felt it necessary. 9/29/25 Garret game to inspect the roof but did not go inside the attic. He assured me that this roof was as good as new. Nov-Dec 25 I was cleaning the gutters, preparing for winter, and noticed that there were a nu

  We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. When you first raised concerns after installation, our team returned the very next day to address the specific areas you pointed out. Since then, we’ve been back multiple additional times (a total of four visits) to inspect and perform repairs where appropriate, including replacing sections of shingles. Each time, our production team evaluated the roof and confirmed it is functioning as intended. Garrett will follow back up about the raised shingle you provided a picture of. Some of the concerns mentioned—such as uneven appearance in certain areas—are the result of underlying roof structure and framing conditions. Shingles will follow the surface they’re installed on, and those conditions are outside the scope of a standard roof replacement. Regarding the scuffs referenced, these are cosmetic and do not impact the performance of the roof. However, we still replaced affected shingles as a courtesy in an effort to ensure your satisfaction. Additionally, the soffit issue referenced in the pictures were not reported to us at the time, and soffit work is not part of the roofing scope unless specifically included. We wish this had been brought to our attention prior to posting photos so we could review it. We also understand there have been discussions around additional remedies beyond the scope of the original agreement. While we’ve made multiple good-faith efforts to address concerns, our responsibility is to ensure the roof is installed correctly and performing as intended—which it is. While we understand you’re not fully satisfied, we want to reassure you that the roof is performing as intended and remains fully covered under warranty.   If you need roofing help you need to call Merritt roofing! Chris and the crew are awesome! Honest, professional and very knowledgeable. They will guide you to the best solution to your roofing issues. Chris, Garrett, Nick and Cooper will be honest with you and help find the best solution for your issues. The quality of work and materials is absolutely first class. If you don’t call them you will get less than the best. I would recommend them to anyone
