We had Jason & his crew out to have our roof replaced and swapped over to metal. Our second summer with it and it's leaked twice. We are overall sadly disappointed with the overall results

Hi Cameron Restorme, I’m very sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with your roof—especially after making the investment to switch to metal. A leaking roof is frustrating, and I completely understand your disappointment. However, after thoroughly checking our records, we don’t have a project matching your name or a metal roof installation that aligns with the details you’ve mentioned. It’s possible there may have been a mix-up with another contractor, or the job may have been done under a different name. That said, I take all feedback seriously, whether or not we were the contractor. If there’s any chance we may have been involved, I’d sincerely appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can look into this further. Even if we didn’t install the roof, I’d be happy to offer a free inspection or help point you in the right direction. You can reach me directly at [phone number] or [email address]. Thank you again for sharing your experience—it helps us grow as a company, and I hope we get the chance to make things right. Sincerely, Jason Kovar Owner, Kovar Contracting INC

Replaced an old asphalt roof that also contained water damage. Complete replacement, including many new pieces of plywood and removal/disposal …

This roofing project was more than just new shingles — it was about protecting the long-term health and structural integrity of this home. During the initial roof inspection, we discovered deficiencies in the roof deck, including rotten roof sheeting and some traces of mould that required removal and replacement to ensure a safe, solid substrate before installing new roofing materials. Hidden issues like this are exactly why choosing an experienced roofing contractor matters. Once the sheeting was replaced, we installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles in Shenandoah, replaced all flashing, upgraded the roof ventilation, replaced the bathroom exhaust ductwork and terminations, and topped up the attic insulation to improve energy efficiency and reduce the risk of future moisture- and ventilation-related issues. To bring more natural light into the home, we also installed a Velux Sun Tunnel. As certified Velux installers, we help homeowners improve both function and comfort while maximizing natural light. This roof is now complete and backed by an industry-leading CertainTeed SureStart™ Plus 5-Star Warranty for added peace of mind. Fun fact — we also upgraded this homeowner’s siding last year, so being trusted to come back for another major project means the world to us! Serving Perth, Ottawa, Lanark County, Manotick and surrounding areas with roofing done right. #RoofReplacement #PerthOntario #OttawaRoofing #CertainTeed #Velux #RoofRepair #RoofingContractorJun 1, 2026
