Get a Bid! I had KangaRoof out to look at my roof after a hail storm. I asked for a bid numerous times, the salesman wouldn’t give me a bid. He told me they did the job for whatever the insurance paid. I got the insurance check gave it to KangaRoof along with my deductible up front . After signing contract and waiting three weeks I called them. Low and behold the insurance didn’t pay enough. Surprise surprise this is their game. They told me insurance under appreciated roof and I needed to dispute claim with insurance company. They actually have a person in the office with a job title of Insurance Supplement Director. I got two other bids while waiting on the supplement claim. If they won’t give you a bid call someone else there are plenty of quality companies out there. The last hail damaged roof I had. I called roofing company they came out measured gave me a price never even asked if I had insurance. Get a Bid !!

3/31/2025 - Hi Jeff - I see that you updated your review with the same information from a few years ago. Has something happened recently? 2/15/2026 Hi Jeff - I see you edited your review from several years ago. Can you call me and let me know what new happened? Better yet, I'll call tomorrow so you can let me know what has happened recently to cause you to update your review. Talk soon. Stacie Feller You are right Jeff. We do complete insurance jobs for what insurance pays; however, when we reviewed your insurance document, we found that your insurance company left off several items required to build your roof. We do accept their pricing, but sometimes need to ask them to pay for components they did not include. As a side note, your insurance company did not use fair market value pricing. With all the price increases in materials we are seeing, they have not adjusted their pricing to cover the necessary cost. We were simply trying to make sure they were paying to have the same quality of roof installed that you have now. If you are able to find someone to install your roof for what your insurance paid, I highly encourage you to be vigilant to ensure you get all materials that should be included. Again, I apologize if that was not explained well. Stacie Feller 512-627-4422

The "pre-repair" experience was very positive. I was promised that they would handle everything. The roof repair went well (other than Spanish death metal rap being blasted from my roof at 8am while the gutters were being installed). That said, you need to be prepared for the fact that, as soon as the work is done, they become a collection agency. Even though they were supposed to work with the insurance company, I have been getting weekly/daily email/phone calls looking for payment. I was literally directed to contact my insurance company to ask why the payment is taking so long. I ended-up taking money out of my savings - not convenient for someone who's been recently laid off - just to get their harassing email/calls to stop. I have asked to be put on their "do not contact" list, so we'll see if I will be able to enjoy peace once again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the initial experience and the quality of the roof work met your expectations. We also appreciate you bringing the music concern to our attention — we addressed that with the crew immediately. Regarding the follow-up communication, we’d like to offer some context for those reading this review. Your project was completed in early November, and the final invoice was issued shortly after. Because your roofing project was tied to an insurance claim, we reached out only to help move the claim forward and ensure the necessary depreciation funds were released. At the time payment was ultimately received, it had been over 30 days since the work was completed, and in situations involving insurance delays, we do follow up to prevent funds from being held or lost. As a small local business, timely payment is important for us to pay our crews and keep our team working — but we’re always mindful of trying to handle these situations professionally and respectfully. We’re sorry if our communication felt more frequent than you preferred, and per your request, we have added you to our do-not-contact list. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and wish you the very best moving forward.

Poor communication. Never got back to me on a quote even after I followed up multiple times. Not all jobs are worth taking but at least communicate it promptly to customers.

Terrible Company!! Backed out (Illegally) of our executed contract. Now I have more damage from recent storms while I search for a replacement company to do our solar project. Very Anti Military. They deserve negative stars!! I'll gladly let you see the contract to verify thier default. RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE: You mean the deposit that had NO amount listed for a deposit and no due date? Sure I wll do that. He offered a 10K deposit (approx. 20% of the contract total) and you rejected that in a text. You wanted 100% payment up front with an install date of "sometime" in the 1st quarter of 2024, no actual date, per the contract... That's why you're going to lose in court for material Breach of Contract!! Don't use these people!! Very dishonest and anti Military in my opinion. I don't even think you know what your own contract says, but you will learn what it says soon!
Reply from the business
Mrs. Standiford - please do post the contract and be sure to include where it list the required deposit that your husband refused to pay. Mrs. Standiford - that is just untrue. The contract states $30,846 is due upon contract signing, which you never paid. You even stated your husband "offered" $10K, which tells everyone you DIDN'T pay the deposit. The fact that you are STILL having trouble finding a roofing company to work with you is pretty telling.

DO NOT make the mistake of contacting KangaRoof. I received 6 voice mails and multiple texts in ONE day. When I am ready to contact a company, I will do so. I do NOT need to be harrassed.
Reply from the business
Mr. Leibee - That is just not true. We made 5 attempts in 3 days: 1 call, 1 text during the morning, and 1 call in the afternoon. There was NOT 6 calls in one day. We were calling to check in on your roof that we installed previously as the warranty is almost up. To make sure this doesn't happen again, I have marked your file as do not service so you should not receive anymore calls from us. I am very sorry you felt we were harassing you as we were just trying to make sure you were taken care of.

This company has NOT done right by us. We bought architectural shingles from them with a super long warranty, supposedly high quality materials, and an entirely new roof but for the first time since the house was built in 2008 (and had its old roof) the roof leaks and water drips inside the office window which is covered by a porch with shingles that they installed- every time there's a moderate to hard rain. I 100% regret hiring them for the job. They have come out to try to "repair" the issue but then they say "we don't see the problem" and nothing of significance is done. This will likely result in mold within our household so I cannot in good conscience say anything other than Buyer Beware.

If you're looking for a company that takes about a week to respond to you each time you reach out then this is the company for you! Ended up signing with a competitor because they actually responded to my inquiries.

Oh my goodness. This is not acceptable for me, so I asked for a detailed list of the communication. Here is what our records show: Shane went out in May and there was weekly and sometimes daily communication until middle June because customer went on vacation until July 1st. -7/7 customer emailed letting him know he just got back in town and was sending off the check to get endorsed. Shane responded same day and then again with a follow-up email on 7/20 which the customer replied back saying no updates, but the check was received on 7/14 and he was just waiting to get it back. Shane responded back again on the same day. -8/4 Customer emailed saying the check had been deposited and he was ready to move forward when Shane was ready. Shane responded the same day with "great news asking if there was a good time next week to meet up and go over everything. OR can we set up a phone call if you prefer" -8/11 customer emailed saying "sorry busy week this week, lets schedule a call for next week" -8/14 Shane emailed asking if he would be available this afternoon around 3:00pm. (no reply from customer) Looks like Shane set a task to call on 8/15 & 8/18 and marked both of those tasks off. -8/30 Shane emailed the insurance contract along with an email stating sorry for the delay that he had a death in the family right after he reached out about getting this sent over, so he had been playing catch up. (His mom had been moved into Hospice and then passed 3 days later) 9/8 Shane changed the status to lost sale I sincerely apologize that we did not communicate enough with you. That was certainly never our intention.

After reading all the reviews we were happy to let Kanga replace our roof. It started with them delivering the wrong shingles, but more disappointing is that the roof leaks. The first leak took them over five tries to solve We have a second one and they're now telling me it's going to be almost 2 months( had trouble getting them to return our calls) from when we reported it to even being able to get out to look at it. Good news after this review Kanga came out and fixed our roof Well they at least came out Kanga told us we had to pay extra for an under pad that would guarantee no leaks. Since we got the wrong shipment perhaps it was not installed or worse it is junk that doesn't work. We have multiple leaks still but now Kanga will not fix them. I would not recommend using them.

Hi Monica, The only Holman we have in the system is someone that didn't purchase a roof from us. Is your roof contract under a different name? I would like to take a look and see what happened. Could you please call or text me with the address so I can look into this more? Thanks, Stacie Feller 512-627-4422 stacie@callkangaroof.com

I wanted maintenance done to my roof to reseal around vents etc. I had also discovered a shingle that needed replacing probably due to a previous storm. This is the second time I’ve used KangaRoof, I also used them in the past at another home. The staff has always been professional and polite. Everyone from the person answering the phone to the guys who came to do the work. Everyone was great!

Russ, thanks for coming back to us for a second home now — that means a lot! Glad we could get those vents resealed and that shingle sorted out, and we'll pass along the kind words to the whole crew, from the phones to the folks up on the roof. Give us a call anytime something else pops up!

I feel the price for replacing the seal around my dryer vent and sealing popped nails with a can of spray paint (?) was much too high.
Reply from the business
Peggy, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the value of your roof repair and tune-up. We take concerns like yours seriously and have communicated with you directly to provide additional information and photos of the work completed. The scope and price of the work were agreed upon before the repair began, and our technician completed the contracted roof tune-up as well as the replacement of the cracked plastic roof-mounted dryer vent with a more durable metal vent. We understand that the time spent on-site can sometimes make the cost of a professional repair seem surprising. Our repair pricing is based on the complete service provided—not simply the time or cost of individual materials—and includes trained technicians, travel, insurance, safety requirements, professional roofing materials, overhead, and the warranty we provide on our work.

It's not that we do get roofs done every month. So-Difficult to compare. The company did everything they said they would do and the work was quality work to my eye. I finally got all my paperwork such as warranty and roof certification for insurance purposes. There are many, many roofers out there. I thought I would get someone that has been in business for a while.

Tony, thanks for the kind words — and yeah, we get it, roofing isn't something most folks do every day, so we're glad the process felt straightforward and the paperwork actually landed in your hands like it should. Glad we could earn some trust in a crowded field. Here's to that roof taking care of you for years to come!

(UPDATE) They came out to look into my concerns, apologized for the miscommunication, and fixed the issue. Thanks! ------------------------------------- I'm only giving them 2 stars because their after-sales service is terrible. While the initial quote and installation were fast, and they showed up on the scheduled day, the follow-up care has been awful. After the installation was done, I had a couple of questions and sent emails, but it took them almost two weeks to answer. Now, just before hitting the one-year mark, I received my 11-month inspection report and had a few comments. I emailed them in mid-April and again in early May. It is now June, and nobody has responded. I also tried calling, but the automated assistant bot never transfers my call to a human.

Mr. Puma - I took a look in the file to see what is going on. I do not see any emails and we do not do 11th month inspection reports so I think you may have us confused with your builder. If this was us, please forward those emails directly to me so I can see what is going on. stacie@callkangaroof.com. Thank you, Stacie Feller 512-627-4422

My roof was installed by KangaRoof in 2021, it went pretty well until this year the leaking from vent was noticed after heavy rain. Reported to KagaRoof and received prompt response, the quality assurance rep was sent out to verify the issue then the production team was scheduled to fix the issue. No charge from KangaRoof for fixing the issue while the roof still under the warranty. A honest vendor you can trust and count on! Highly suggested!!!
Reply from the business
Allen, thank you for this! Stuff like that vent leak happens sometimes even years later, and we're glad our team could get out there, verify it, and take care of it under warranty like they should — no surprises, no charges, just making it right. We're grateful you trusted us to fix it and even more grateful you took the time to share this!
