  Poor communication. Been three months since they supposedly submitted for reinspection and still waiting, no response even after I tried following up.

  Driven by financial gain. James Kate Roofing does a wonderful job presenting all their strengths and none of their liabilities. They do quick and efficient work; however, if they give you cash estimate--the right and reasonable estimate they should give you--they will not go to bat against the insurance company to ensure you are reimbursed in full. Like Pilate, once they get their money, they wash their hands. Don't be confused by the cross in the 'T'; it's meaningless. I did everything I could to work with this company: to be fair, reasonable, honest and aboveboard, and in the end, I got a "I'm sorry; that's how the insurance company works." Interestingly, I got the same information from the insurance company: Liberty Mutual. All parties only looked out for their best interest, but you better believe, when they were hustling for the sale, they indicated that only my best interest mattered. Until they closed the sale. Now they are accessing me of criminal activity. I paid in full--no fraud--only trying to be reimbursed for the work completed. Debris haul off. How about hiring undocumented employees? Is that ethical? Your response proved my point.

  Mr. Ison, you asked for a cash estimate and we performed the work agreed upon for the price we agreed to. We provided you with a paid in full invoice showing that amount. Now you are hoping to profit off the insurance company and expect us to help you deceive them. That is blatant insurance fraud and we will not be apart of it. Thank you for publishing your intent for the world to see. Feel free to chose a shady roofing contractor next time, but the cross in our name is real and we will not help you break the law.

  My phone alerted me to a SPAM call and it was James Kate Roofing filling my inbox with unsolicited SPAM. When I posted about it on Facebook they blocked me. Check out their negative reviews on BBB.

  Lady on the phone scheduling appointments is nice. Initially, I just wanted a quote to replace my whirly birds, and while they were up there, how much a roof replacement would be. Even before the salesman finished, he was wanting me to sign a document that would restrict me to working exclusively with them and nobody else. I haven't even been sold on their workmanship or products yet. At this point, I felt very pressured and uncomfortable. I haven't even heard back with an estimate yet, and no replies to my text.

  Mr. DeGroat, my name is Dustin Eatman and I'm the owner of James Kate Roofing. First, let me apologize for all the items you listed. From what I'm told your roof did not go as we would normally expect. I will certainly address the cigarette butts and oil leak and completely agree that they are both unacceptable. We did damage your gutters and paid to replace those areas. You chose to change the color and replace them all so I'm not sure how spending an additional $2,000 to cover the one's not damaged is an unfair request. We could have color matched the current ones and it would have cost you nothing. We lost thousands of dollars replacing your gutters to show we stand behind our work and want you to be happy. If there is anything else needed to achieve that goal please let us know.

  Ben did an outstanding job from start to finish. He handled the entire insurance process, coordinated all of the repairs, even the issues discovered during the roof replacement.   I highly recommend Becky Rodriguez with James Kate Roofing. Becky recently inspected my mother’s home, and going into it, I was already expecting we would need a full roof replacement since the roof has been in place for quite some time. Becky performed a very thorough evaluation, documenting everything with detailed notes, photos, and measurements. When she followed up with me, I honestly expected to hear that a new roof was needed along with a large price tag—but that wasn’t the case at all. Becky explained that while the roof is older, the surrounding trees have actually helped protect it from sun exposure and storm damage. She backed this up by showing me photos and measurements of the existing shingle thickness, giving me complete confidence that the roof still has life left in it. Instead of recommending an unnecessary replacement, she suggested a very reasonable repair to address minor damage and replace some hardware. We gladly moved forward, and Becky oversaw the work to ensure everything was completed to a high standard. Her honesty and integrity truly stood out. She easily could have recommended a full replacement, but instead she helped us avoid a major and unnecessary expense—allowing us to use those funds for other important needs. Thank you, Becky and James Kate Roofing, for your professionalism, transparency, and for delivering a first-class job. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing roofing services.

  Punctual. Delivery of supplies took longer than expected, but workers still finished in one day. Our insurance (Liberty), attempted to have James Kate do work that was not up to code. Our agent was knowledgeable of codes and of course the work was done to code. The agent stayed in frequent contact with us. (Benjamin) The yard was left spotless at the end of the day. Benjamin continues to follow up with us for any future needs. We are pleased with the end product.

  Dylan extended his workday to check my roof. He was personable, knowledgeable, repaired a couple small holes and answered all my concerns and questions. Ivy, the young lady whom answers the phone was also very personable and helpful in coordinating my appt.

  Ben Craig from James Kate roofing was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, and very understanding with all the questions I had. Ben negotiated with my insurance and got me a new roof. The crew he sent out was efficient and the project manager stayed the whole time to oversee the workers. I would recommend Ben with James Kate Roofing to anyone Give them a call if you need a roof.
