It was a bit expensive but what isn't nowadays. They did excellent work. Better than what I would have done myself. I would recommend them for there quality of work. Very professional.

he layer you never see is doing more than you'd think. That blue material under the shingles is GAF Deck-Armor — a premium breathable underlayment we install as part of our premium roofing systems here in the Utica area. Underlayment is the secondary layer of protection between your shingles and the roof deck. If a shingle is ever damaged or blown off in a storm, this is what stands between the weather and your home. What makes Deck-Armor different is that it breathes. It lets moisture escape from the deck instead of trapping it — which matters a lot in a climate that swings from summer humidity to winter freeze–thaw. It also lies flat and seals tightly around fasteners. Once the shingles go on, you'll never see it again. But it's one of the details quietly protecting your roof for decades. A roof is a system. Every layer has a job. No pressure. Just clear answers. 📍 Serving Utica, Rome, New Hartford, Whitestown & MarcyJul 24, 2026Learn more
