Quoted me $8000 for a $1200 job. Completely out of their minds.

We had an appointment set up for Monday. The person called and said he couldn’t make it because he had a flat. Promised to do the estimate anyway but never did.

This was the subcontractor for part of the installation of my Tesla roof. They put new plywood over old damaged boards. They never informed me of rotted fascia boards, which I would have paid to have replaced. They left copious amounts of nails and trash around the yard. My cover Florida room has dirt and dust all over. They broke the sensor to my light. They ran over the corner and broke my children's basketball hoop.

  Reply from the business

Good afternoon James , The rotted fascia is something we don’t do on site. We get measurements and price material and send a price to tesla to discuss. We did change a piece while we were there at no charge. Photo attached . The light I am gonna attach another photo with the old roof still on and no trailer in the driveway and the light was damaged before we even started. The plywood was delaminated on the upper roof and we removed it and installed the new plywood at no up charge cost. Tesla calls out for the over lay and that is what we did on the lover roof as the plywood was solid The scope of work that was sent to us from tesla was completed .

Hogan Construction and the people who run it have absolutely no class and offer no apologies when they are rude and dismissive. They are disgusting I urge folks to not use them.

Great team, efficiency, cleanliness, and result. Would be a 5-star rating, but for some inconsistencies between what is promised by sales for a certain price and what makes it into the contract. For example, the salesman promised that the slats under the old cedar roof would be removed; that is, back to the studs. They were not. The team installed plywood over the slats, many of which were damaged in the demo process. Old damaged sheathing at the chimney was not replaced even though promised during the scope discussions. Same with screening on the gutters. The owner himself made good on the screen promise which was noble. Point is, don't sell the first-class job for one price then reduce the scope, but not the price, in the contract. When that happens, customers like me, feel like they got a $33K job for $38K, and while they may be happy with the overall result, the process and price leave them somewhat disillusioned. Overall, I would recommend Hogan to others.

We just had a new roof installed by Hogan Construction Inc. We also had the Roof over the Entrance and the Roof over the Bay Window done as well so it can all be consistent. We are very pleased with the work that was done. I can’t say enough about the workers they were very professional, polite and hard working. The cleaned up afterwards was amazing, as if no work was done. I would recommend them to anyone.
