I'm sorry to hear about your experience — a leak that isn't resolved after paying for repairs, and then feeling ignored when you tried to raise concerns, is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and I'd like the chance to make it right. I don't have enough information from this post alone to identify your file, but I'd genuinely like to look into what happened — including the billing, the diagnosis, the employee interaction you mentioned, and why your complaints weren't followed up on. That last part concerns me most; every complaint should get a response, and it sounds like yours didn't get any.   Stripped screws, exposed nails, leaking skylight and roof. I am eager for the company to call me back as they are not returning calls to correct this shotty workmanship.

  I wanted to have a good experience with Henderson roofing but it didn’t work out that way. Terrible communication regarding when the work is getting done, left nails in the driveway causing three flats tires, and when they found rot in my facia/soffits- they left it. This, despite replacing another portion of the old wood gutters. I don’t understand why, you would cover it instead of fixing it and earning more money. It was a frustrating process. There were some highlights like working with Ben T., the roof portion of the project is beautiful, and the delightful ladies that took my calls. -Colleen

  I will NOT recommend this company, they do shotty work and the crew are NOT qualified to do the work.. More to come….w/pictures. Save your money and aggravation and don’t use them. Not only the cosmetics of the roof are horrible but the first rain fall and now starts leaking? They won’t admit and fix there mistakes. Good luck.. More to come with pictures!

  First scheduled date the crew never showed. On reschedule crew showed and was unable to do the work due to materials issue, said office would contact me. Never heard back from anyone. Then received invoice for work complete. Ridiculous.

  Henderson put a new roof on my garage to address the moisture issues I was having in the finished space above it. They told me that the water was coming in through the ridge vent and they would remove the vent to solve the problem. About a year later, I have the same moisture patterns in the ceiling and a puddle of water on the floor after a storm. When they came out to look at the damage, they tried to say that it was due to rodents (which is absurd, rodents don’t create a puddle of water on the floor after a storm). Nonetheless, I had an exterminator come out and look who found no evidence of active rodents (not a single trap they put out was touched), and who also confirmed that rodents would not create that type of damage. The actual issue is likely humidity which removing the ventilation exacerbated. They did not put in any type of alternative ventilation when they removed the ridge vent and when their own subcontractors they had come out and look at it saw this, they said that there has to be a vent up there. A reputable construction company should’ve known that and shouldn’t have sealed up an attic space leaving it with no ventilation. Management was supposed to call me, they were supposed to come out and look at it and nothing. They’re currently ignoring me and hoping that the 10,000$ I’ve had to pay to replace the ceiling and insulation after the mistake they made will go away. TLDR: This company replaced my roof to address a moisture issue but they ended up making it worse and now won’t contact me to address it.

  **editing after response from owner: the bathroom vent was installed from inside the attic in 1996 and hadn’t caused any mold damage in 24 years. I’ve attached a photo from the mold report that cites a rip in the pipe as the source of the “moisture issue.” The pipe was ripped by the roofers when it was pulled through the sheathing, haphazardly stapled into place, and incorrectly attached to the boot that comes out of the roof, all of which we replaced ourselves. What a shame from the owner to attempt to gaslight a customer in an attempt to avoid taking responsibility for a mistake made by their own contractors. We closed on our home in August of 2020 knowing that our roof needed to be replaced, and we hired Henderson to complete the work in fall of 2020. We were pleased with the results. In March of 2021, we discovered black mold throughout our attic. It hadn’t been there the previous summer when we had our home inspection, so we hired a mold expert to come out. The expert determined that the mold occurred as a result of a ripped bathroom vent pipe that was handled by the roofers during the replacement - the steam from the bathroom was venting directly into our attic. We contacted Henderson, and they refused to take responsibility, despite a report from the mold expert which held them directly liable. We contacted our home insurance and they covered the mold mitigation, but sent the claim for subrogation as it was clearly the fault of the roof replacement. Again, during the subrogation Henderson was NOT cooperative and refused to provide their liability insurance. Because of this, our home insurance was non-renewed due to the mold mitigation claim, and now our premium is being raised by $1000/year. We have, however, discovered the insurance that Henderson uses and are reopening the subrogation claim. I wouldn’t recommend hiring them to anyone. They have caused us stress, frustration and a significant amount of money.

  I called John due to a leak around my chimney, the roof was 18 years old,he suggested replacement. The contract said "all roof penetrations" would be flashed, so I assumed, being ignorant to trade definitions, that meant the chimney would be.Nope, the chimney is on the side of the house, while portions of the roof intersect with 3 sides of it, it is not a penetration. So John sold me a new roof, but didn't flash the leaking area. Though something they did during replacement stopped the leak long enough to place the labor outside of RI consumer protection laws. He was unhelpful when the leak started again 2 years later, claiming in his experience it was a problem with the chimney and would not come out to look at it. So he knew what the real problem was over the phone at that point, but during his initial meeting it was more important to sell a roof, because he told me he was confident a new roof would resolve the problem. A few months after the leak started again, with a lawyer involved he was more than willing to look further into the problem, but we declined his offer and hired another contractor, who fixed the leak correctly by doing the flashing. There was nothing wrong with the previous roof, they sold me a roof, just to sell me a roof. Further the cap on the new roof has blew off, the previous cap never had issues, the shingles tore through the nails, according to the contractor fixing it, they used the wrong nails. While John et al, may not be doing anything illegal or uncommon in the industry, I'd never recommend them to any one.

  I have worked with John, Ben, and Dale at Henderson roofing on several projects. My experiences with Henderson roofing have always exceeded expectations! Their sales staff are knowledgeable and transparent. Communication is great and work starts on time. Their crews keep a clean jobsite and do phenomenal work. If there was any issue down the road Henderson stands by their work and operate with integrity. I will continue using them for future projects and highly recommend!!

  Henderson Roofing did a gutter replacement at our home. An agent was sent to look at the project and gave us a very reasonable price quote. The job was scheduled and the crew that came did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Henderson Roofing!

  Beginning with the original quote until the end of the siding project - this Henderson team worked together to make sure the job was done right and with complete satisfaction. I especially want to call out my original contact with Dale Voyles who was empathetic and understanding of all of my questions and requests, Kathy Grillo in the home office who was always there to answer questions and who assisted me with payments and finally Remington Cardosa, my Project Manager, who was onsite and always available for my many questions and ensured the project went smoothly. I am a huge fan and you will be on speed dial in the near future to tackle the roofing project!

  We are so pleased with the work done by Henderson Roofing. We had 4 skylights replaced, Roof reshingled, all of our exterior wood trim replaced and some gutters replaced. Dale, Tim and the crew did an amazing job. The house looks great. They did it while we were away and except for how good the house looked, you would never know they were there. They left the yard immaculate. I put my trust in them to do this very big job and they didn't disappoint. They made this so easy. They were there when they said they would be there, finished on time, kept us updated with pictures and did very high quality work. Thanks so much to all of crew members for making this happen with zero hassles.

  A shout out to Caleb C. I had a single window replaced as part of a kitchen renovation. The replacement was not a like for like replacement as I was going to a smaller ‘fixed’ window from an operating window which complicated the situation. Caleb was great to work with, very knowledgeable and provided me with three choices for the window. Once the choice was made I was able to confidently select the style and color to match the other windows in the house. Caleb was very accommodating and great to work with. Because this was a custom window, the manufacture of it was going to take several weeks and would have delayed my kitchen renovation. However, Caleb was able to remove the old window and temporarily board it up to keep my kitchen renovation on schedule. What a blessing that was!

  I had my roof replaced 2 years ago (2024) from Henderson roofing. They did an excellent job and cleaned well after completion. I was especially impressed with the protection tarps/nets they hung from all edges of the roof as they did the tear off. The upper part was tarp and the lower part netting to protect the plants/bushes so they would not stress under a full tarp. I recently (June 2026) was made aware of an opening in my attic to the exterior (my AC guy found it when servicing AC). There was evidence of a leak in my stairway ceiling. I spoke with Henderson and Caleb came out to asses the condition right away. He discovered that a channel was missing between the siding and fascia or soffit. He indicated this was not due to the roof however he would be willing to fix it for me - FOR FREE - so as to keep a satisfied customer. Needless to say I was surprised and very pleased that he was willing to extend such courtesy to a customer. He came the next day and fixed my problem. Thank you Caleb! You sure do have customer service top of mind and I sincerely appreciate your service and assistance. Clare Olesen
