I contracted Eliud and his team for some roof work. It was mainly gutter work, but I asked him to add some mud work, facia installation, stucco patching and some existing gutter repairs to the work order before he quoted me. I had got some roof done earlier in the year and the contractor had missed some spots with the mud. Eliud gave me a quote in December 2024 and came back the next day. They arrived later than they were expected but kept me in the loop. By the time they were done with the facia installation and gutter work, it got dark. The length of gutters installed was less than what we had initially talked about but I was okay with that because the total price for the work order was reasonable. Eliud said he was missing some items for the mud work and gutter repairs and that he would come back in a week to finish it since Christmas was coming. I agreed and asked him to come when convenient. However, I made a mistake by paying Eliud the whole amount for the work order. When he didn't show up as promised, I called him. He began to yell at me on the phone and told me that only the gutter work was included in the work order and the other items were just a "favor". His tone was very disrespectful. He mentioned my old roofing contractor and said that he should have done the work since I paid him to do the whole roof, and not Eliud. I tried to calm the situation and explained to him that we had agreed to add these items to the work order before he quoted me. I also told him I would pay extra for finishing up the work. He told me that he will swing by next time he is in the area. That was 4 months ago!!

The quotation process was quick and easy. Before reinstalling the gutter section, the guys listened to my input and then explained the gutter hanging process clearly. Before rehanging the gutter section, they resealed the seams to prevent leakage. The job was done carefully and quickly.

Hard Shield handled my mom's gutters and they were fantastic. They were the most competitive price by far. They were on-time, organized, friendly and made the gutters onsite. They put permanent christmas lights up and helped us to remove some dead wood. They were out of this world professional. We couldn't be happier.
