  Surprisingly disappointing. Extremely nice people to deal with; they just left with my check after I pointed out that there were still a lot of big leaks. They said they had cleaned and caulked everywhere and that a lot of the gutters were "old." The contract just said "check and clean" and I assumed it meant to fix what was leaking, but I guess that's on me. Watch very carefully how their contract is worded. They do.

  This is a fake review. Poorly written with google translate. No homeowner in MA would give a check if they had” big leaks.” Also clean and caulk does not apply to roofing. This is an indication the person writing has no idea about roofing installation. The contract of a roof never says check and clean. Roofs are repaired or replaced not cleaned. Our contract is 12 pages, has 30 bullet itemized scope of work. It’s one of the reason all the real reviews are 5 stars. P.S; To our current and future clients, please be aware of google 1 star and 5 star reviews on all businesses you visit. There are people who now will write 5 star for your business or 1 star reviews against your competitors for as low as $1 a review. We get solicited daily. It seems one of our competitors was unethical enoughand actually supported this business model by buying a 1 star review for our company. All the people writing are out of the country and rely heavily on google translate, hence the poor grammar. As a business owner I have tweeted, emailed and called google. They say they are working on it. The best thing to do is to read the reviews, hopefully you recognize a name or two from your community, and you connect with them personally. At Golden Group, our reviews have been our pride and joy, people take the time to write paragraphs for us. We will not tolerate this, and we hope other business owners will stand and realize that this is not how we treat one another. We don’t buy fake reviews to hurt others. We don’t buy 5 star review to lie. We earn reviews the hard way, one by one.

  We had an excellent experience with Golden Group Roofing for both our roof replacement and solar panel installation. We received quotes from three different companies, and Golden Group stood out as the most professional and thorough from the very beginning. During the initial survey, John mapped out our entire roof using a drone and walked us through the details, including the specific underlayment materials he recommended for different areas of the roof. We also went through several iterations of the solar panel layout together to maximize the available roof space and optimize the system design. We really appreciated the level of attention and care he put into the planning process. The installation process was just as impressive. John and his team followed the promised project timeline very closely. This was especially important to us because our solar panels needed to be installed before the end of 2025 for us to qualify for the federal solar tax credit. We had friends going through solar installations around the same time, and many of their projects experienced significant delays due to town permitting, electrical meter upgrades, utility connections, and other issues that were often outside the installer’s direct control. Despite having to navigate many of the same challenges, John was able to keep our project on schedule and make sure everything moved forward smoothly. Our entire roof was replaced within about a week. Since we were not living at the property at the time, John sent us updates and photos every day so we always knew exactly what was happening. Communication throughout the project was excellent, and the whole process was remarkably smooth. We are extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Golden Group Roofing to anyone considering a roof replacement, solar panel installation, or both. John and his team were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and dependable from start to finish.

  I realized I needed roof work when I found pieces of roof shingles on my front steps. I had read about Golden Group several times on a listserve in my neighborhood so I wanted to hire them. They gave me a reasonable price, and all of their references returned my phone calls. I knew one of the references from the YMCA. I was delighted to choose them to do a complete roof replacement. They gave me an accurate start date and were able to complete the work within one day. One thing I particularly noticed is that one of the crew had braces on his teeth. That says to me that the crew are paid well enough to afford this kind of self-care. My roof looks really good now. Thanks so much, Golden Group!

  The Golden guys came to assess my roof, which is a complex cedar shake in need of some TLC. They were extremely professional, kind, and helpful. While this job wasn’t something they do, they referred me to two other people who can help. I was very impressed and recommend them highly.

  John and his team are incredible, I can not recommend them enough if you are in need of anything roof related! I reached out to John about a leaking sky light and he came out the SAME day to look at it. He took pictures of the roof & sky lights, listened to our needs & wants, made recommendations and put a plan into action! He followed up and updated us throughout the ordering of materials and permit process. The day of the installation, John and his team at Golden Group were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, timely, and the attention to every detail was impressive. I was updated throughout the day of what was happening and what else to expect. At the close of the install, the cleanup was impeccable! We have dogs so it was important to us that things were cleaned in the backyard, they cleaned everything up 100% - they used a blower and magnet to ensure it was cleaned thoroughly. I am so excited to be able to use our back porch again!!! Thank you, Golden Group!
