Work was done on the house 12 years ago. We purchased the house last year. We noticed rotting where the siding met the chimney. We have had multiple professionals come out and tell us the rotting is due to improper installation of the …

had this company install a roof for u.s. 4 years later the roof started leaking, they would not honer their warranty. Had 2 roofings companies look at roof because E.M. Snow refused to even look, we called company that mfgs roofing material they said roof was poorly and incorrectly installed.Looks like were going to court. If you would like to avoid this type of shaddy work FIND ANOTHER COMPANY

E.M. Snow always guarantees OUR work. Unfortunately the customer's commercial tenant put penetrations all through the flat roof AFTER E.M. Snow installed the roof back on 2018 (AC Units, pipes, and electrical work)). The roof was inspected by the City of Cambridge when it was completed by E.M. Snow; all the damage was caused by others after we completed the job and had it inspected. The manufacturer issues the customer mentions were all done by the tenant or whoever worked on the roof after EM Snow completed their work, not by EM Snow. As we told the customer, she needs to recoup any costs from her tenant or whoever installed the patches that damaged EM Snow's work.

This is a long-term review of a job done 4 years ago (2 windows, 1 skylight and 1 sliding door.) The good: they were responsive with the initial quote, and did the work on schedule and on budget. The product they installed was good quality. The bad: no attention to detail. Apparently they left some missing roof shingles (or replaced them with a totally different color) around a new skylight. Replacement windows had frames in the wrong color. And a replacement balcony slider was not properly caulked, resulting in a leak in the ceiling below.

Don't use them...came highly recommended, so we went with them despite slightly higher price. What was bad? Let's see: 1. Showed up 3 hours later than was supposed to, so they were rushing to finish after it was already dark. 2. Didn't tarp half the house, so my screens on my windows were ripped and some of the windows were scratched and railings on deck were scuffed. They did end up replacing the screen and railing, but very frustrating. 3. Two months after the job, a heavy rain storm saw a leak in my gym, which had never happened. They came to look at it, "fixed" it, told me the problem was the flashing, which was apparently not part of the job. Asked them multiple times to come back to take a look, no response, so I did my best to seal. 4. Now it's been 4 months, lo and behold the same part has leaked through again. Now, I will need to break open the ceiling to make sure there's no mold. Extremely dissatisfied, honestly just go with another company, these guys really could care less.

I had em snow replace my roof, the crew they had unprofessional and left my house looking like a mess. A piece of siding my broken during install and it too almost 4 weeks after to get any kind of response from them. Then I was told they were going to do something different from what they did. Very unprofessional company, Doug the owner being the ring leader. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody

Unconscionable people with poor craftsmanship. I gave them 30k to do windows, siding, and roof. One small section of the house was incomplete, and they refused to return to finish the job. You be the judge. I am so glad EM Snow has chosen to reply (see below) to this comment publicly because then I can have a conversation they refused to engage in. The house is both mine and my fathers. If you would agree to speak with him then please reach out and you can explain that he paid for work, which was never additional, but that you did not complete. If he asks, will you finish the job. To be clear, I will post a picture below. The job was a long time ago, but nonetheless, you missed an obscure part of the work. A warranty would imply the work was actually done in the first place! An honourable company would make things right. Too often contractors stay in business (for 50 years) regardless of quality of craftsmanship. In this case it was blatant disregard, and now disrespect. I am doing my part to say "Buyer Beware". Google showed me how much this post was being viewed...and that is the only way I got an answer from EM Snow.

    Reply from the business

Mr. DiSciscio’s statement that E.M. Snow Inc. does not “finish” work was due to his request to return to do additional work for free 13 years after the job was completed. Additionally, the job he is referring to was not contracted by him nor paid for by him; it was his father’s house. E.M. Snow’s labor warranty is 10 years against installation defects. E.M. Snow has been in business for over 50 years and would not have been able to have such longevity in business if jobs were left “unfinished” and we did not honor our warranty.

We had our siding done with E.M. Snow Inc. at a reasonable price. They were very easy to work with and very kind. Lauren always responded to our questions promptly. Doug and Steve were a pleasure to work with. Will (siding crew leader) and his team are amazing, very kind, calm, professional, hard working. They worked tirelessly to make our house look beautiful. Thank you everyone!

E.M.Snow just completed Harvey basement windows, siding on two story house and new gutters. The guys that were here every day did an amazing job, answered my questions with a smile and worked harder every day to make the project look great. If you need siding, this is the company you want to go with!

We had a fantastic experience working with this window installation company from start to finish. Scheduling was quick and easy—they were able to come out promptly to take measurements, and we received our quotes in a very timely manner. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Once the windows arrived, they kept us well informed and were flexible in coordinating scheduling. We also really appreciated how they worked directly with our tenants, making the process smooth and minimally disruptive for everyone involved. This was a large project—almost an entire 1910 home with original windows—and their team handled it efficiently and professionally. The installation itself was impressive; they completed the work in just two days and left everything in great condition. One of the things we appreciated most was their transparency and reliability on pricing. The final cost matched the original quote exactly, with no change orders or surprises, which gave us a lot of confidence in their integrity. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of window installation.

We had an amazing experience with EM Snow for our external home renovation. We used them for siding, trim, windows and roof! The communication all around was top notch, any issues were quickly rectified. We felt so supported through it all. The team was so easy to work with, and we will always recommend EM Snow to anyone who needs recommendations. Thank you again!

I've worked with E.M. Snow, Inc. twice and they always deliver. They updated the roof at my mother's house and now mine. Doug is a genuinely good man to work with and his leadership trickles down to the rest of the team. I enjoyed working with Steve and the on-site team. Their communication is top notch, they explain every step of the process in detail, and the pricing is fair. I highly recommend E.M. Snow, Inc. for your next roofing job.

Just this morning I realized how important it was to chose a company that works with the quality products I wanted. These windows were installed by E. m. Snow,a few years ago. I live on a corner of Main St. with five separate sets of traffic lights, and drivers with no patience. I woke up at 8:00 am peacefully opened my window and was pushed back by the noise of rushing cars and engines. I recommend this company because it's not just the product, it's the installation.

I needed 11 windows replaced. Doug Snow was very quick to come evaluate the work and provide a very reasonable price for the project. When the windows came in, we were able to schedule the installation within a week. Bob and Matteo worked efficiently and professionally, and completed the job in one day. The windows look fantastic. I highly recommend EM Snow!!

The estimate and the work performance of my roof replacement was spectacular. From initial contact to job completion, the entire staff was professional and went above and beyond my expectations. No need to look any further to hire a pro for your roofing needs.
