  I hired this company to do my complete roof and they seemed to do a good job but less than a year later leaking started and the owner claimed it to be cracks in the cement on the side of the house. I paid for another job. Since then I have called him several times for issues or questions and it’s always no call back or excuses. The 15 year warranty is useless if the owner refuses to call back or follow up as promised. They seem to be very attentive when you’re a new customer and haven’t yet paid. Disappointed in the customer service and follow through.

  Do you have us confused with five Star roofing located in queens? We don’t have any consumer in our system in 2023 with the initials MR All of our approved work gets drawn up on a contractural agreement, signed by both the consumer and our company. The now binded contractural agreement clearly shows the work being performed, as well as the guarantees and warranties provided. All of our roof replacements have a MINIMUM 5 YEAR WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEE. If you are experiencing an active leak under your guarantee period, why leave a review and not call our office to set up a roof repair date covered under the guarantee?   Ahmad, During the course of work, it was brought to your attention that the need to wrap the exterior bulk head walls with a modified bitumen rubber flashing was needed. We had sent a text regarding this work, with a very small additional fee, and received a text back from you refusing to do the work. Response from Ahmad on February 28th- I'm going to hold off on wrapping the walls for now. I'd appreciate a proposal for the brick work.   Hello my name is Joe I am 72 years old ,the reason why I am telling you my age is because this Dad and Son team owners of FIVE STAR ROOFING ARE THE BIGGEST LIEING SCAMMER TAG TEAM YOU WILL EVER MEET ,STAY CLEAR OF JOHN WHO IS THE FATHER WHO IS ABOUT 65 YEARS OLD AND THE SON JOHN WHO IS ABOUT 28 YEARS OLD, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF STAY AWAY FROM FIVE STAR ROOFING. They were supposed to do two jobs for me ,both were leak problems at different houses, the only did one and very badly,still leaked,when I spoke to John senior after John junior blocked me from his phone he said he would send a truck out to correct the job they did and would go to the other house to do the job they never did. I wasn't there when they arrived at the botched job house ,John junior texted me a picture of a window open and said that's your leak and the leak is not even in the area of the window, someone who was there said they went up on a ladder and opened the window so they could take the picture to send to me ,I texted John junior nice try. Meanwhile John senior said he would do the job at the other house, they never went there,job not done. I left out John junior unblocked me just for about 1 hour for this and to tell me I don't have a 15 year warranty anymore because I owe him $50.00 so I asked how I owe him $50.00 when I have a texted that I am paid in full $2900.00. Original the job was quoted at $2950.00 so when I said to John junior I was about to Zelle him the $2950.00 John said just send $2900.00 and we are good, I even said to him are you sure and he said yes. All this is on texts also. My mistake was I sent all the money before he even got to do the other house they are good talkers and I trusted them ,I guess the old days are gone when most people could be trusted,to many scammers out there now. Then to top it off I find out the house is still leaking after I paid them but I still thought at that point I had a 15 year warranty and they would take care of the problem,

  Joe, upon visit on may 23rd, 2024, the rear window was wide open during a rain fall which caused your leak. Please mention to tenants to leave windows shut during rain fall. Invoice regarding balance was mailed out as well on May 23rd, please remit and send back John Jr

  They came finished 90 % off work and they ask to get pay, they got paid and promised that they coming back the next week but they never came and it’s been more then 6 months and no one responds back on the phone and text . Very disappointing on John .

  I loved working with this company. From start to finish communication was top notch. As soon as I put in an inquiry, they called right away. They came out same day with the drone and showed in-depth images of what was going on up there. They offered different options both at very reasonable prices… like veryyyyy reasonable. It felt like a super family discount. Communication happened everyday. I asked many questions and each one was answered within 5 minutes. They really care about their work and their workers. But most of all, I felt they cared about me as a customer. I have a flat roof and the roof was finished very quickly. I got pictures of the work after and I loved it. Thank you all for being kind and getting the work done.

  John was great. He came with a drone and reviewed exactly what I needed. He didn't try to upscale me or take advantage that he has way more expertise on roofing. He communicated clearly and consistently in between the estimate, repair and thereafter. The prices were very fair and they provide a warranty for their work. I highly recommend this company.

  These guys are great! Super responsive, clear and specific re: needs and capabilities, efficient, and did an excellent job cleaning our roof, repairing some tiles, and clearing out our gutters completely while installing some missing sections. Highly recommend for any roof work! Plus they use drones, which is cool as hell.

  As first time home buyers we needed a quick turn around on a roof inspection and we needed an accompanying report. Both the inspection and the report were completed within 24 hours, which was excellent. The rate for the inspection was fair. Both Johns (father and son) had excellent customer service skills and took the time to make the complex topic of roofing, clear & understandable for a first-timer like myself. I really valued their service and I’d be happy to work with them again.

  Called John from five star roofing on a Wednesday. We had a bunch of loose slate singles and missing patches of shingles along with trim that was hanging because of the wind storm. John managed to get over there in a few hours worked up a price that I was more than happy with And had the job done within a day. I would recommend him to anybody that is looking for a trustworthy and dependable roofer.
