  Wouldn't recommend this company way over priced the quote we received was crazy expensive for just 3 steps and slab was more than the other company we went with for to do both our front and back steps combined.this was in Feb-March

This project involved replacing interior stairs and railings, followed by detailed painting and clear polyurethane finishing. Because the homeowner lives out of state, coordination required working through multiple parties for access and scheduling, including limited availability. While we were committed to completing the work under these circumstances, we acknowledge that the added complexity made the process more challenging than our typical projects. We are continually working on improving our production management and communication, particularly on projects involving multiple points of contact. While this project presented unique coordination challenges, we have successfully completed several projects for this homeowner in the past and look forward to continuing to provide quality work for all our clients. Fiderio & Sons is a family-owned, full-service remodeling company that has served Connecticut homeowners for over 40 years. While we handle projects of many sizes, we specialize in full-room renovations and do not offer spot repairs or labor-only services. We also supply all materials for our projects to ensure consistency, warranty coverage, and long-term durability. At no point did we attempt to overcharge or mislead you. In fact, we kindly declined to quote a project that didn’t align with our services and offered helpful guidance instead.   Here at Fiderio, we strive to be collaborative & upfront with the consultation process & pricing process. With a long-standing history and thousands of happy customers we have almost 40 years in the industry; our company recognizes that we do have a refined process as we offer “preliminary quotes” prior to writing detailed multi-page proposals for large scale renovations. Based on your recent review, it sounds like last June we missed the mark on calling you to answer add’l questions and to further discuss your preliminary project costs in greater detail. A detailed response was provided to address your request for a breakdown of the costs, with an explanation that our company process unfortunately does not offer itemized quotes. Again, we apologize for not connecting. In looking back our records, the project agreement (provided almost 5 months ago as of Oct 2023) outlined a preliminary price range with specific details that included tearing down your current deck & building a new rear deck to meet current codes, finished with Trex “Selects” composite decking & a white Color-guard railing system. The work also involved adding a corner stair system that would lead to the patio towards the rear, while additionally connecting the new lower-level pool deck that would also be built by our team. We apologize for any miscommunication & inconvenience caused as we don’t itemize our pricing, and for not calling you to further discuss the project beyond the agreement & quote provided. We appreciated the opportunity to provide you with a preliminary budget last June for a tear down & rebuild of a multi-tier deck & are we are sorry that our company was not a fit for your budget or your desired process. We will use your feedback to improve upon how we communicate & set clear expectations with others in the future.

  I hired them to replace my roof. I am waiting 2 years for them to replace the one they did. They hired subcontractors who did a lousy job picturs avail if you want. I was then told that my roof pitch is too shallow for the product but they put it on anyway. They said they would replace it but refuse to now based on the pitch. They put it on not me. There are also to huge holes in my hardwood floors I found after I removed the protective cardboard covering. Now they don’t call back. Next step is consumer protection and Facebook to tell everyone the story.

  The quote was higher than ever other one I got but went with Fiderio anyway because of the name. The deck they built still has not passed inspection and after going back and forth with them for six months they have stopped calling me back. …

  I have a mixed review, Fiderio did our siding a few years ago and they did a very nice job within the time frame that they promised so I was pleased. That is why when our house developed leaks from ice dams I called to see if they could remove the ice dams. They sent someone out, first with the wrong size ladder and then he came back and said he would take a picture of the roof before he began. He was up there for 25 minutes, and judging from the amount of snow he was shoveling off there was not much left for very little was being thrown down. He came down, said he forgot to take the picture when he got up there but he showed me a picture of the 2' ice dams that remained. He said he could do nothing about that and left, total time 35 minutes, price $200. And yes, I still had and continue to have water damage, now it has made it all the way to the first floor. When it comes time to repair all the damage, I will not be calling Fiderio. I called for help with Ice Dams not Snow Removal. I know there are companies out there that actually remove dams by drilling holes and putting a salt compound into the gutters to create a channel for the run off. Fiderio should have said they provide roof snow removal but not Ice dam removal, It was a waste of $200.

  We had a wonderful experience with Fiderio during the rebuild of our sunroom and we are so happy with how beautiful the finished space turned out!   I recently had Fiderio and Sons complete a much needed kitchen renovation. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Master carpenter Mark Fiderio did an amazing job coordinating the project and seeing it through to completion. The work was of exceptional quality and the price was reasonable, especially when you consider the value that this project added to my home. Also, the last thing that you want is some dubious low baller tearing apart your kitchen just to save a few bucks. I would highly recommend Fiderio for your home improvement project. Leo B.

  Had a great experience with them revamping our mudroom. High quality work, all items delivered as promised and on schedule. Hard to find a hassle-free experience with renovations, but they absolutely achieved that!! The new room layout has been a game-changer.   After 20 years my vinal siding started to Pit and discolor. I approached Fiderio & Sons, who installed it, and they helped me through the warranty process. Johnathan was most helpful with forms and information needed to process my request. it took some time, but i now have new siding on my whole house. The team both in house and on the round did a excellent job on the replacement, it looks wonderfully. I would not hesitate using them again. As it is i am having them replace my garage door.   Had a small porch replacement done by them. Initially there were some issues with the Trex; they were great with their response and replaced all of the boards. Looks fantastic now!
