  I'm very surprised at how high the Expert Roofing company's rating is. I believe this is because people trust this company's rating and do not test their work. A month ago (at the beginning of June), these guys replaced the shingles on our entire roof. They were acting like real professionals. They said that our roof was rotten in places and they replaced several sheets of plywood. I believed them and paid for the work in full. A month later, we decided to check the insulation in the attic. I was surprised when I found out that in three places there was still rotten plywood and one of them was even broken. When I called Valery (the owner of the company) and asked him to fix it, he refused to do it. He told me that in order to repair it he would have to spend the whole day and a lot of money. And, in general, he said that all of this is OK. So, if tomorrow, for some reason, I have to sell this house, I will have to repair it for my money. I think that these are very unscrupulous guys. And I would not trust them. P.S. When we were installing extra attic insulation, we found a few more places with broken plywood. More photos are posted.

  Dear Oleg, thanks for sharing your valuable experience with everyone here , I feel so bad that considering I’ve been at your place some many times, we have never got a chance to discuss presented issue with you in person. I tried to explain (not once and not even twice) to your lovely wife that you simply cannot expect that the roofing frame, decking and studs to be in perfect condition after 50 years , considering all the previous water damage and condensation that occurred over all these years, the wood will become discolored in some places, you might even experience problems with mold. Once the old roofing shingles were off from your roof, I’ve noticed some exterior damage to your plywood in some places, whenever I see mold, rot or waviness on the exterior, those sheets have to come off and be replaced, I will never install the brand new roofing system on the damaged plywood. That would be absolute nonsense! I let your wife know about the exterior damage situation, which is what I explain to my customers when I see this, this problem is common especially with an older houses, we change plywood decking quite often, I never try to push my customers, but some customers request to do a complete resheet prior to us starting the job, I will do it. The plywood sheets that have some previous damage mostly due to poor attic air circulation interiorly might become dark with time and that is the reason why I measure every single roof and check for quantity of roofing vents installed as well as your soffits, if they are open and ventilated or not, to make sure your new roofing system will work and last you for many years to come. I am not, however an attic guy who will be going into people attics and inspect for the interior mold, unless of course it discussed before we sign a contract and proceed with the installation. In your case, we both agreed to replace only the damaged plywood sheets, I let your wife know right away how many sheets needed to be replaced and the total

  We are absolutely delighted with the excellent workmanship (with 10 Year warranty on labour) and quality of our new roof by Expert Roofing. Our roof looks better than ever and it is safer than it previously was. The price we paid was very fair and worth every penny. Thank you Valerie for a job well done.

  Val was highly recommended to me, and he did and excellent job at a fair price. Due to constant rain in the forecast, he even came by a little earlier, to patch up a small area of my roof to ensure it made it to the date of the full roof job. Very impressed and I would definitely recommend.

  Used Expert 12 years ago and was impressed. When I moved and needed a new roof, I contacted them again. Very happy, again. My roof looks great! You’d never know that I had my roof done because I didn’t find a single nail on the ground anywhere. Job well done, right down to the prefect clean up. If I move again and need yet another new roof; I’ll call them again.
