Strongly discourage anyone from using Etruscan Gutter & Roofing. The company increased the price after the contract was signed, and was bold enough to install thin and cheap quality wood shingles. Shortly after install there were leaks in the roof. Etruscan denied any responsibility. Etruscan's own employees discovered that the roof was not installed correctly and that old nails and materials were used. Shaun will only provide excuses and no accountability. To this date the list of avoidable issues with the roof continues. Do yourself a favor and do not go with the cheaper option - Etruscan takes shortcuts that add up in the long run!

  Reply from the business

Hi Blaine. The price of your roof went up because of the tariffs from the government. We get our wood from Canada and the Tariffs greatly increased our cost of material. I told your project manager about this additional cost Before the roof started, The price was agreed to before the work started, so saying that we changed the price is dishonest. You had a 20-25 year old skylight that leaked. I sent a crew over and we fixed it, and I did not hear back. Your project manager was the one that chose the roof, and type of shakes (the one you fired). We did not choose it. Sorry that you had a bad experience with us. Best of luck in the future!

Alex came out and did a thorough investigation of the roof, beyond the issues I knew needed to be addressed. He broke everything down in the estimate and offered competitive pricing. The crews were professional, efficient, and clean, and Alex came back afterwards to review the work and make sure everything was addressed. Will absolutely use them again and highly recommend.

We’re especially glad Alex took the time to thoroughly inspect the roof, identify issues beyond the ones you were already aware of, and clearly explain everything in the estimate. That level of communication and attention to detail is exactly what we want homeowners to experience. We also appreciate your comments about the crew being professional, efficient, and respectful of your property. Alex returning after the work was completed to review everything and make sure all concerns were addressed is an important part of how we approach roofing projects from start to finish. When planning a roof replacement, it is important to understand what your roofing warranty actually covers. Not all warranties are the same. A manufacturer warranty generally relates to roofing materials, such as shingles and system components. A workmanship warranty relates to how the roof was installed. Both matter because even high-quality materials need proper installation. At Etruscan Roofing & Exteriors, we help homeowners understand the full roofing system, including shingles, underlayment, ventilation, flashing, ice and water protection, and installation details. Before choosing a roofing contractor, ask: · What warranty options are available? · What is covered by the manufacturer? · What is covered by workmanship? · Are ventilation and installation requirements important? · Will I receive documentation after the project? As an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, Etruscan Roofing & Exteriors brings product knowledge, installation standards, and local Chicagoland roofing experience to every project. If you are comparing asphalt shingles, planning a roof replacement, or scheduling a roof inspection, our team can help. 📞 Contact Etruscan Roofing & Exteriors today to schedule a free roof assessment. #RoofWarranty #RoofReplacement #RoofingContractor #RoofInspection #AsphaltShingles #OwensCorningShingles #ResidentialRoofing #ChicagolandRoofing17 hours agoCall now
