  They never called back to set an appointment. This puts them in the bucket with most other average contractors. A sure sign they are not dependable and hiring them would only result in endless headaches of delays difficulty in working with them.

  I will hold my opinion until i see if they ever call me back. I have made several calls and left several messages for Brian Drake to call me regarding issues with our rubber roof and to get him to give us a time when they will finish the job. Several months ago after they finished the roof on the house Brian said that they would return in 2 weeks to finish the rest of the work and now i cant even get a return call. So i will not rate this company until i see what they are going to do. I had to pick a rating for this to post but as of right now its a zero but it could go higher depending on what happens

  I purchased a home that had been completely renovated by Drakes Construction. With the purchase came a one year warranty, which as a single mother was supposed to be peace of mind. Within the one year, multiple issues were discovered, some of which were addressed while other things were swept under the rug as they just wait for you to stop calling and never get you on their schedule. Before the one year warranty was up, Brian Drake (the owner) eventually came to my home to go over my concerns that I kept calling and emailing about. A list was discussed and agreed upon in person and was sent to Jess, the secretary, in an email as a follow up. Most of those items to this day have never been addressed and now they just say “it’s outside of the warranty.” However, and this was included in email correspondence as mentioned above, one of the issues was simply painted over instead of determining what was actually going on. Brian Drake said “I give you my word that if there is an issue and a leak reappears, we will come in and cut into the ceiling to see what’s going on and fix it.” Concerned with this “band aid” and my warranty running out, I questioned it. He again said “You have my word. We’ll fix it if something is wrong regardless if it is outside of the warranty.” I believed him. But, I also put it in the email follow up to be sure there was record of it. Something is definitely (still) wrong. But, I call and call with no attempt to address continued leaking/water damage to my dining room ceiling. They act as though they have no idea what I’m talking about now. I had issues with both HVAC units, too. One caused leaking and ductwork full of water in my basement because of their construction errors and would also not regulate because the wiring had not been completed or done correctly (this was addressed within the one year and worked fine afterwards). The other unit in the attic was never looked at, even though concerns were discussed with the owner in the above men

Our techs do get extremely busy and its possible that we did make a mistake, If you would like to call the office I would be happy to try and look into it for you UPDATE Brenda I spoke with the tech and he recalled speaking with you and I was told that he informed you we would not be able to do what it was you asking for, that is why he was never on site. I would like to also make it clear for everyone reading we did not install your unit that you were having trouble with and if I understood correctly you were asking for it to be moved in a way that our tech said it could not be. If there was any misunderstandings about this I am truly sorry.

I'm sorry to hear you went with another company but we hope that your job is completed beautifully. I know that your estimate was not 100% complete yet and the gentleman you spoke with does not work Saturdays so I'm hoping this was just a misunderstanding. I will call you first thing in morning to try and discuss the issue we strive for customer satisfaction unfortunately sometimes we do make mistakes but we try to correct them.   I had a very unfortunate incident at the house I bought one week after the Closing. A city pipe clogged and the entire blocks feces and urine came up into my basement. The City’s response time was incredible (reviewed on their page ; City of Williamstown). By the time they got into the ground and unclogged it, it was wall to wall and about 2 inches deep! I’m OCD and I swear my eyes were bugged out of my head when these guys showed up. When I walked into the City building, the Mayor came out no more than 30 seconds later and took me into his office and called Brian Drake. Brian had his guys there within the hour and they spent a large part of the day, as expected, cleaning my newly painted basement. I don’t know how they do that, really! It’s incredible to me that people can do that kind of cleanup. I could barely even look at it. And when I say cleanup, I mean they got it done! There was no sign of any mess, including smell when they were finished. The next day, Brian sent another guy to pull the furnace and hot water tank out, took them apart, cleaned them, then tested their functionality. The paint had also come up in multiple places and looked horrible after the cleanup, but Brian also sent another guy, a few weeks later, because large fans were down there running nonstop during that time, and he painted it. It was completely restored to its original condition prior to me moving in, and you can’t tell it even happened! Hopefully never again with the Clapper Valve I had put in. This of course was all at no cost to me. The City paid for all of it. And I have to say, I’ve never been that impressed with a company in my life, and I’m 62 years old…. the responsiveness, acting as if it was their own homes they were restoring, and how hard they worked was above and beyond, 2nd to none! I would give 10 stars if it was an option. This company really cares about their customers and they turned an absolutely horrible situation into an actual blessing… a company genuinely car

  RE: DRAKE'S CONSTRUCTION & RESTORATION: Our Church Roof had a significant re-occurring leak on the sanctuary roof behind the Steeple Platform. Drake's responded quickly, surveying the problem and then sending us a detailed quote, not only of the cost, but also describing how the repair would be done. The amount of the quote was very reasonable and included a liberal warranty, as well. Once the Church voted and approved for the work to be done, Drake's responded quickly, in a very timely manner, completing the work efficiently; therefore, helping prevent further interior damage to the church. The Invoice, following completion, was for the exact amount quoted!   Very professional, on time and they get the job done right. Obviously when it comes to construction everyone knows when you open up walls and Floors other problems are seen, things happen and Brian Drake is very understanding about that.
