  Refusing to do work on a heritage home that is leaking, despite stating they work with copper flashing. Their roofer only wants “easy work to do”. Offered no alternative options or recommendations.

  They never returned my call. Fundy Roofing did provided an estimate and discussed. It's always hard to get a hold Dowd.

  I have used Dowd on Several Occasions, The last couple times I have used them I got the feeling that I was lucky to be working with them. Meaning I had to be lucky to get a hold of someone and once I did I had to hear how busy they were and how many calls they have been getting and "phew, you are so lucky you got me on the phone." The last time I used them, it was for a repair and I wasn't so lucky. I agreed to a Time and Material repair. The repair didn't work, so I tried to get a hold of someone, but wasn't lucky enough. I left a message and said the repair didn't work. Then silence, a week or so later a crew show up and repaired it while I was not there(My tenant told me there was some folks on the roof). Unauthorized this time around because no one called me and I just got a bill. I wouldn't have authorized a bill the same size as the first if I had heard from them and they informed me that the T&M was not guaranteed. They were unapologetic and willing to lose my business. I paid for it all, but it will be the last time I use them for any of my properties. The quality of work is obviously not great for repairs especially for what I paid. Unprofessional because I never got a call that they were coming over for the second time and unresponsive because it's easier to get the Pope on the line. Something is slipping over there, perhaps a lack of competition is bleeding customer service. Small town, get better.

  Called on a Monday to get an quote for eavestrough. No answer, left message. Called back a couple of times. No answer. Finally called the office on Friday and told them not to bother, I was going with someone else. Got a call on Friday afternoon asking me when they could send someone out for a quote. No thanks.

  The advertisement says we do it all. I called for residential metal roofing to be installed. They told me they do not do residential? Perhaps you should advertise only what you do.

  Dowd installed the roof on our home 15 years ago. We have contacted them a couple of times over the last few years in regards to shingles that have lifted during severe wind storms and they have been prompt and professional in their communication, advice, and repair work. Very friendly and personable.

  We have been happy customers for years now. Any time there is a storm related issue related to our roof, Dowd honours it. They have been excellent to work with and I would recommend them.

  So far pleased with the prompt return of my enquiry and sales rep coming to measure for eavestrough quote. Had good suggestions and mentioned supply issues that may delay installation. Price for quite is within reason and will go ahead with the company.

  I have been waiting since February 22, for Dowd to show up and give me an estimate on installing eaves trough. It is now April 3, 2017. Such an unreliable contractor.

  My mom had a new roof installed on her home. They have been back a few times to "repair it" due to continued leaks but I'm still left with water spots on my ceiling and they have since stopped servicing their work. I just felt like they fell through on their warranty.
