  The roofer was hired by the buyer's realtor to inspect our roof during the sell of our home. We live on 1 side of a duplex. The roofer came while we were not at home on 4/14/24 Sunday morning. He invited himself to use his ladder to climb onto the duplex neighbor's balcony to get up onto the roof, trespassing. He did not have permission from either us or the neighbor to get up onto the balcony. The neighbors, who are a young couple with a small child, were terrified! Following that, he provided a fraudulent report that included pictures of the damaged roof from our other neighbor's free standing unattached home. (as we live in a duplex, we might assume he would include pictures of the entire duplex roof, however this home is a free standing home next door). He also took it upon himself to include items he was not asked to assess and include those items for repair in his assessment. Attached is the estimate he sent. The last picture is not our roof. He also indicates that the fascia around our garage door is rotting. Firstly, he was not asked to assess that and secondly, it's not rotting.

  There is no scheme here. We were only trying to do our job to the best of our abilities. We apologized to our client because the appointment had not been confirmed. A misunderstanding on our part which we are sorry for. We were trying to accommodate our client (the buyers) before the option period expired on a Sunday, so we dropped what we were doing and decided to work on a Sunday in order to help them meet their deadline. The person writing this review is not our client but rather a disgruntled seller who is possibly retaliating online because the sale of their house fell through. We are selective about the realtors we work with. This particular realtor is highly rated and one of the top 1% of realtors nationwide. It is incredibly disappointing to see someone react with such hostility. Absolutely no harm was done to anyone or anything with our roof inspection. We checked with both neighbors to the left and right before inspecting this roof as a courtesy (standard practice for us before climbing a roof so that nobody is alarmed). Nobody seemed “terrified” as this person suggests. On top of leaving this negative review on our Google profile, this person has attacked our company and our realtor client by filing a written complaint with TREC with false accusations about us not being licensed. We are one of only 302 contractors that are licensed through the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. I respectfully ask you to remove this review and stop pursuing this so aggressively. We made an honest mistake of inspecting a roof when we did not have an appointment confirmed. You are damaging a small family owned business with an otherwise excellent reputation over the past 14 years of being in business. We did not mean any harm to anyone. And we certainly would have rather been with our families on a Sunday rather than inspecting this roof.

  I can not provide details for their roofing work quality, however their employees driving their company truck this weekend were openly rude and disrespectful to me and my family this weekend. When pulling my boat out of the lake a friend inadvertently parked in front of their parked vehicle at lake Ray Roberts. While we were helping my pregnant daughter out of the boat, their employees returned to their vehicle and were able to get around with little problem, then proceeded to back their sea doo trailer back in front of my truck, almost hitting mine, making me have to back out. It was a very passive aggressive move just to be jerks. I wouldn't do business with a company that acts this way, and I would suggest other avoid them as well.

  Mr. Reed, I'm sorry that we caused you an inconvenience or came across as jerks - that wasn't the intention at all. It’s crowded at the lake on Labor Day weekend and when you were trying to leave we were actually trying to give you as much space as possible. If you had confronted us in person then we would have moved wherever you wanted us to. This is a simple misunderstanding and more of a personal matter rather than a business matter (seeing as how we’ve never done business together) so I would appreciate it if you took this off of our business page. We are a family owned business and we rely on legitimate ratings in order to earn more business and put food on our table. By leaving this review you are harming not only our family but also our employees (who work hard from sun-up to sun-down, literally) and their families too.

  Wow! Discount Roofing completely transformed my house, and it feels like a brand new home. They did an incredible job with our new roof, exterior siding, gutters and full interior/ exterior painting. Theresa was an absolute joy to work with and supported us through the whole process. Silvio and Bryce were also fantastic and so knowledgeable. I can't recommend this team enough!

  Excellent people make an outstanding company! Greatly appreciate all involved in an outstanding job. Their knowledge and patience working thru my crazy insurance and mortgage company was amazing! It was a great team effort by Theresa, Bryce, Silvo,Josh and Ryan. Amazing team! Definitely recommend to all.

  I had done roof repair in our roof for fixing water leakage through Water Heater exhaust pipe. They fixed that and also complete roof maintenance. Great communication through phone and email. Showed up on time. Great reporting before and after pictures.

  Beyond Professional: A Roofing Company You Can Actually Trust! I was at my daughter’s house when Gerardo from Discount Roofing came out to tackle the most difficult part of the repair, and I was so impressed by his work ethic and attention to detail. Fixing Past Mistakes We discovered that the previous roofers had taken major shortcuts, they completely skipped installing the ice and water shield before laying down the shingles! This was the root cause of the big leak. Gerardo didn't just patch it; he did the job right. He removed the old shingles, installed the proper shielding, and rebuilt that section of the roof the way it should have been done the first time. Going Above and Beyond for Safety Gerardo also noticed that the dryer vent was the wrong type and potentially unsafe. He replaced it with a proper, safe vent to ensure the house was up to code and protected from fire hazards. On top of that, he took the extra time to seal every other possible leak entryway he could find just to be safe. The Bottom Line It is rare to find a contractor who is this thorough. Gerardo was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly cared about the safety of the home. After seeing the mess the previous roofers left behind, it was such a relief to watch a true professional work. Discount Roofing is the only company we will be calling from now on!

  Nice to have a local roofing company you can trust! I like how firefighters come inspect my roof and they only look for work that needs to be done and not try and upsell. Communication with the whole team was easy and work was well done!

  Our experience began with Bryce’s professional assessment of roof, fence, gutters and additional structures (which was spot on and needed a lot of work). Then, Bryce assured us that Theresa was effective at working with insurance and us to ensure we had everything that was covered, covered. Bryce was right. Bryce remained in contact with us throughout the beginning until completion of project with final walk through to ensure work was completed to our satisfaction. Mid project, communication fell a little, we contacted Bryce and the situation was immediately addressed. Bryce, Theresa and Silvio were all easy to work with and ensured a professional and quality job that went above and beyond was completed.
