Owning a home can be stressful, especially when your roof and gutters are damaged after a storm. I was very uneasy about starting an insurance claim because I had never gone through that process before and had heard so many stories about delays and denials. I was referred to Tanner at Davis & Sons Roofing & Construction, and it turned out to be one of the best recommendations I have ever received. Tanner was courteous, professional, and quick to come out for a full roof inspection. He explained the roofing claim process in simple terms, answered my questions, and even met with the adjuster on another day to help make sure everything was reviewed properly. That kind of support made a big difference and took a lot of pressure off me. After storm and hail damage was confirmed, the roof replacement and new gutter work moved forward quickly. The roofing crew got started right away and completed the roof in just one day. The only thing I needed to do was move my vehicles so the disposal trailer could be placed in the driveway. The crew worked efficiently, protected the property, and when the job was done, the cleanup was outstanding. I did not find loose nails, screws, or shingle pieces around the house. What stood out most was the mix of quality workmanship and real customer care. Tanner and Oliver made the whole roofing experience smooth, organized, and far less stressful than I expected. The new roof and gutters look great, the installation feels solid, and I feel much more confident knowing my home is well protected for the long term.

My home needed a full tear-off roof replacement, so I got quotes from several roofing contractors. The pricing was very competitive across the board for similar roofing materials, but this estimate stood out because it clearly listed …

I asked for a quote to replace some rotted roofline trim and damaged exterior siding on our home. They replied fast, gave a much more fair price than other roofing and exterior contractors, and made the whole process easy. A lot of other companies sent salespeople who did not really understand the repair work and kept trying to push upgrades we did not want. Here, they sent Tanner, who clearly knew the roofing and siding work, explained the scope in simple terms, and respected the choices we made. The repaired siding and roof edge looked so good that we decided to move forward with more exterior work on the rest of the house. Once the damaged areas were opened up, they found deeper structural issues hidden behind the rot, and they handled those repairs the right way. The workmanship was solid, and even the inspector had no problems with the structural repair details. There were some delays because of rainy weather, but the crew stayed organized, worked in smaller sections to protect the home, and kept the project moving as conditions allowed. They communicated well, kept the area neat, and made sure the house stayed secure during the job. I would gladly recommend them to anyone needing roofing, siding, or other exterior home repairs.

i can’t say enough good things about Davis & Sons Roofing & Construction. After we bought our home, we needed a full roof replacement, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. They were easy to reach, came out quickly for an estimate, and gave us several shingle and color choices so we could pick what fit our house best. They were ready to start soon after, and the crew removed the old roofing, installed the new roof, and made sure everything was cleaned up well. oliver also sent a photo after the job so my husband and i could review the finished work, and it looked amazing. A while later, after some strong rain and wind moved through Hampton, i noticed one shingle sitting up just a little. I had been meaning to call, and when I finally did, Tanner was very helpful and offered to have someone come out right away. Not long after, I got a call saying the repair had been completed. When I got home, the roof looked perfect again. They were responsive, professional, and clearly cared about the quality of the roofing work and customer service. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing roof replacement, shingle repair, or general roofing help.

We hired a roofing company to replace the roof on our rental home, and we are extremely happy with the results. The crew did exactly what they promised and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. As an added bonus, they also roofed our gazebo so it would match the main house, which really improved the overall look of the property. What stood out even more was how they treated our tenants during the project. The roofing crew was polite, professional, and very accommodating throughout the job. They kept the work area organized, communicated clearly, and made the whole roof replacement process smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend their roofing services for anyone needing dependable, quality work.

I hired Davis & Sons Roofing & Construction after Tanner did a free roof inspection following a bad storm and found a lot of shingle and flashing damage. he also helped me through the insurance process so the roof replacement was much easier to handle. Then Tanner and the crew did an amazing job from start to finish. Their attention to detail, clean workmanship, and roofing knowledge really stood out. He also suggested a smart improvement around the chimney where water and debris had been collecting, and the repair was done the right way. The whole project turned out great, the price was fair, and the new roof looks excellent. i would highly recommend them to anyone in Hampton needing roofing work.

we had a great experience with a roofing crew for a full roof replacement and soffit repair on our very old home. from the first call, every interaction was friendly, professional, and quick, and it was clear the team had strong roofing knowledge and real hands-on skill. an estimator came out the same day, and the roof work started soon after. the new roof looks excellent, the gutters were rehung correctly with better downspouts for improved drainage, and we never felt pushed into extra work. in fact, the crew often suggested practical options that helped us save money while still protecting the home. the quote was lower than other experienced roofing contractors we considered, and oliver did an outstanding job handling the estimate and overseeing the project. he stayed involved throughout the job, checked on the site regularly, helped the crew when needed, and made sure every part of the roofing and soffit work was done the right way. tanner and the rest of the team were also kind, easy to talk to, and clearly took pride in their workmanship. we now feel fully confident that we have a strong, well-installed roof system that looks great and should hold up well through virginia heat, rain, wind, and changing seasons. the whole process was smooth, honest, and well organized, and we would gladly recommend this roofing company to anyone needing roof repair, roof replacement, soffit work, or gutter improvements.

Tanner completed a large exterior home improvement project on our house in Hampton, with a strong focus on roofing and related exterior work. The job included a full roof replacement, soffits, fascia, gutters, siding, and detailed trim work, along with updates to the deck, railings, and windows. The project involved a lot of custom details, and I made several changes along the way, but Tanner handled everything with care and professionalism. The workmanship was excellent from start to finish. Oliver and the rest of the crew were respectful, easy to work with, and kept the job site running smoothly. Tanner kept the project moving, clearly explained the schedule, and stayed in touch during each phase of the work. He was patient with all of my questions and took the time to make sure every roofing and exterior detail was done the way I wanted. What stood out most was his honesty, clear communication, and dependable service. We felt confident throughout the entire project and trusted his guidance from beginning to end. I would gladly hire Tanner again for roofing or exterior work and highly recommend him to anyone needing reliable service in Hampton.

I’m very glad I was referred to call for a roof consultation. Oliver came out and did a very thorough roof inspection that took several hours. He found a lot of storm damage affecting the shingles, gutters, window screens, and frames. After the inspection, Oliver carefully explained everything, showed me photos, and walked me around the areas that were easy to see so I understood the full scope of the damage. I chose to move forward with a full roof replacement, and the whole roofing process was organized and handled with care. Oliver stayed involved through every step, making sure the dumpster, shingle delivery, and roofing crew all arrived in the right order. The roofers showed up on time, protected the area around the house, and worked hard all day. They were efficient, detail focused, and kept the job moving smoothly. Oliver remained hands-on throughout the project, answering questions, giving updates, and making sure every part of the work was done right. The cleanup at the end was excellent. Everything that had been moved was placed back where it belonged, and the property was left neat and tidy. The roofing crew was polite, dependable, and respectful the entire time. I’m also having some siding work completed, and Oliver has continued to keep me updated on that schedule as well. The finished roof looks great, and it’s easy to see the quality of the workmanship. Oliver has been extremely helpful, responsive, and professional, and I truly appreciate how closely he stayed involved from inspection to completion.
