You are the same family . You don’t have to ask all your family members to quarrel here publicly. As I said , this is your aging plumbing stack boot issue , not the workmanship issue not the shingle issue . Please stop your family group fight here . All your statements are false and not true .

Sadly, and interestingly, it seems this neglectful behavior from Hugh and his company, D&S Roofing, and their refusal to honor their warranty, is not limited to my case. It was my mistake not to read the reviews before hiring D&S Roofing. I simply saw that they were working in our neighborhood and asked them to replace our shingles. We selected their top-tier package, including the warranty, to avoid headaches for years to come. Despite all of these considerations, this spring we noticed a water stain on the ceiling of our ensuite bathroom. We contacted Hugh and asked him to come by and inspect the issue. About a week later, one of his workers came and, after inspecting the roof, claimed that the roof vent insulation had not been installed properly during the shingling work, and he said he fixed the problem. The vents and their insulations were replaced by them at the time as a part of the roof shingling. Afterward, I contacted Hugh regarding repainting the ceiling, since the damage was clearly the result of their workmanship. His response was very rude. He stated that he should have charged me $400 even for the repair visit and told me not to bother him anymore. What exactly does a warranty mean if he believes he should charge customers to fix issues caused by his own company’s work? And how can he claim that the damage to my ceiling is not his responsibility? Hugh, just like the responses you have provided to other customers’ reviews, you may now say that you do not recognize me or that I am not telling the truth. However, you should know that you cannot stay in business for long by treating customers this way, even if you keep changing your company name. I am posting this review in the hope that others do not make the same mistake I did and take the time to read reviews before signing a contract with you. In addition, I will continue monitoring the situation. If any further damage appears as a result of this issue, I will pursue a formal legal complaint ag

This is not true .We replaced his roof 9 years ago , his plumbing stack boot is aging , not roof vent insulation as he mentioned , also he didn’t say correctly , there is no such vent insulation stuff in the roofing system; insulation is installed in the attic , which we never did attic insulation for him. However, we honored our warranty and repaired his aging plumbing stack boot. This is is a 100% false statement . I

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of responsibility, accountability, and professionalism shown by D&S Roofing regarding ongoing issues with my shed roof leaking water after their work was completed. I have documented multiple text messages back and forth with Hugh, regarding this issue, only to repeatedly be told that “nothing can be done because it’s a flat roof.” This excuse is completely unacceptable. Hugh personally inspected the shed roof PRIOR to commencing the job and was fully aware that it was a flat roof before any work started. If a flat roof required a different roofing system or installation method, that should have been addressed from the beginning — not after problems developed. For clarity, this shed roof NEVER leaked from the time we took ownership of our home in 2013 until D&S Roofing performed the work. What is most frustrating is the refusal to stand behind the workmanship, product, and warranty that were promised. Instead of taking ownership and resolving the issue properly, responsibility continues to be avoided. And please do not respond by claiming you do not know me or that I am not in your database. I am more than happy to provide copies of my signed contract along with the multitude of text messages documenting this entire situation. At the end of the day, customers expect roofing companies to stand behind their work. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Hugh and D&S Roofing. The frustrating part is that this entire situation could still be resolved if Hugh and D&S Roofing simply came back and properly corrected the problem. I am not asking for anything unreasonable — only that the company stand behind its workmanship, honour its warranty, and fix the issue correctly.

This is not true. Since his backyard shed roof has been leaking for many many years; it was done wrongly by his previous roofers , this shed should be done as a flat roof not a shingle roof; we suggested that he needs a flat roof for his shed , but he refused to pay for a flat roof; though we have done two times of new shingles roof for him. This is a false statement.

Unfortunately, my experience with them is bad. They replaced our roof in 2020, and since then we had 3 leaks in different places. Twice they came and repaired next day, I have to give credit, but 3rd time I was not able to reach anyone on the same phone and had to pay another contractor for repair out of pocket. Today, I noticed that a spot where they have repaired a leak in the attic last year is wet again. Not trusting to use their warranty again, I am hiring another contractor to do a proper job, and looks like I will have to replace a roof when spring comes. I regret hiring them in 2020, because I have already had to pay a thousand out of pocket for repair when they were not able to come, I will have to pay for damaged drywall repair under garage roof (where the roof leaked next year after replacement, in 2021), and I am constantly anxious about any possible leaks in other places due to poor quality. I expected to pay for a roof once and forget about it for the next 10 years. Clearly this is not what I got. I advise you to check reviews from customers who had the roof for at least several years.

My house had started leaking before this, so I contacted D&S Roofing, the company that did my roofing a few years ago. They responded promptly to my call and sent a repairman to inspect it. They concluded that the vent cover was cracked around the edge. They applied waterproof sealant around the area to prevent rainwater from seeping in and explained that it was due to long-term aging. When I asked if the repairman would be charged, they said that although it was due to aging, it was still covered under their warranty. I was very grateful for their help. When I tried to tip them, they refused. Excellent after-sales service. Thank you so much for your help and support.

We hired this company to do all the soffits, fascia and eavestroughs/gutters. Short version: multiple leaks and they said it is our roof's fault because the shingles do not overhang by 2 inches so they can't fix it. Fascia is wavy so they "fixed" it by pounding it with screws. Disappointed because we hired them to fix the leak. But there are more leaks now than before just in different spots and our fascia looks is wavier than the neighbour's 50 year old fascia. We hired this company because our gutters were leaking and we took advantage of that to redo the soffits and fascia as well to make sure we would have no issues. Unfortunately, the quality of the work is poor. (see pictures). 1. The big one is that water leaks between the gutters and the soffits in multiple locations (see pictures that show a gap). Their response is that they (a roofing company) can't fix it because the shingles don't overhang by 2 inches. 2. The attention to details was also poor. a. They used a mix of colour matching and non colour matching screws. b. The soffits are not flat/parallel to the ground (perpendicular to the wall) but slightly angled in some locations. (see picture). c. The fascia is wavy. When we asked them to fix it someone showed up and started adding screw after screw after screw. They wouldn't talk to us so we had to tell them to stop. (see picture). Bottom line, our fascia is still wavier than our neighbour's 50 year old fascia. 3. in one of the pictures you will notice how the soffit trim (the track) is poorly put together, the trims don't seamlessly align, there are gaps and there's a few spots that are damaged but they installed it anyways. (see picture) 4. Perhaps unrelated, but the workers "didn't speak English" so when we would try to talk to them they just would mostly just smile and keep working. I would have been as happy as them if the work had been done properly but not when it's an excuse to ignore our concerns. Summary: make sure you verify the work before

Clearly it’s a lie. Any new seamless gutters will not be leaking. Bing responsible,We cane back and checked this issue twice. 100% it’s because the shingles are too short. The shingles should be overhanging 2” inches. But the shingles on this roof are too short , even a bit far from the edge , that’s why water coming between wall and gutters . We suggest you do some shingle repairs

For the D&S Roofing team, they gave me great advice from quote to construction and they know how to keep costs down for their clients. My roof was a big project. They did an excellent job on my roof and were very professional. , and how well they took care of their security measures. This made me feel at ease. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had throughout the day. Finally, they left the house very clean. It has been a pleasure communicating with them over the past three days. Thank you very much for your service. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof. (or roof repair) people recommend their services

I had given a 5 star review 4 years ago but am editing it today. The job LOOKS good, but I am currently dealing with the 2nd leak inside of 4 years. Not ideal when you spend big money for a roof thinking you will have no problems for years to come. I think the install was done poorly. Proceed with caution

This company out a new roof on our house for previous owners in August 2019. Last week it began pouring in our sons bedroom. Had a local roofer check it out and he said it was a shoddy workmanship. Nails showing, flashing done improperly and no ice and water shield. We called them to come and repair as they say 10 year warranty in labor. The person who answered the phone could barely speak English. After several minutes of struggling to understand each other they asked to email them the invoice and they would email us back. Meanwhile water is still pouring into our house. The next day they still did not call us or email us. We called them again and the person answered said they were in a job and would call us back. Surprise they did not. We called back again today and he says he has not received the email. Even starting to help a customer shouldn’t start with getting an invoice via email. At least come Out and check it out. Pretty sure these guys are not going to be standing behind their warranty.

Fake reviews with fake stories. We never know you.
- 1 out of 5M. R.3 years ago
read the real reviews and not the fake ones. They did an roof install on our house in 2019 and we have leaks within 3 years. When you call he will keep telling you he didn't receive any emails as the only way to defer speaking to his customers. If you have used this company I highly recommend you check your roof, you will likely find the most amateur of mistakes: exposed nails (improper install), poor overlap especially in the most important valley areas. and we even found some piece-meal weather proofing and patching.

To be honest,We never get your emails (you might sent to a wrong email address or wrong person), without knowing your address , we are unable to find your file. Further you shout dirty words at our staff, this is not tolerable.
